Quick question about borrowing:)

We are new DVC members(use year Sept.). Our settlement date is August 1st. Our home resort is SSR. We are planning our 4th trip this year on August 13-20 and currently have reservations at POR. I]My question is are we eligible to borrow points for this trip? [/I] We are interested in staying in a studio at OKW.

If you have Sept 2005 points, you could borrow them for August after closing.

In the past, DVC has required a contract to be closed before allowing and borrowing for a reservation. If your settlement date means you will be closed as of AUgust 1, then you should be able to call MS at that time and borrow points for a reservation. You should realize that borrowed points cannot be returned to their original Use Year and if that reservation should be cancelled, the points will expire on August 31, 2005.

You might call your guide and ask for some assistance making a reservation before settlement using your points - they are sometimes able to create some magic.
