What time can you enter the MK for MVMCP without dinner reservations?? we are so excited and will be there on 12/18...any other must sees or advice is also greatly appreciated...
From what I've read on this board, I understand this:
1. You have to have a ticket to MK for the day in addition to th MVMCP...some posts said no to this, but the majority said yes....so maybe the jury is still out! CM friend of mine has not gotten back to me about this since yesterday.
2. A CM friend of mine said they are officially giving out wristbands at 4PM so you can be there then to get the wrist band. He said they "officially" close the park and try to shoo everyone else out by 6 and herd the MVMCP people over to Frontierland from 6-7. He's parade control and that was his answer to that question.
3. He said to wait and see the second parade/fireworks because most people try to see the first show so the second is less crowded.
4. I've also read on numerous posts here that you should get your picture taken first as lines fill up and you spend more time waiting in line for it.
5. General consensus is that the park clears out after 10PM so people have been reporting a quieter atmosphere and ability to walk on popular rides after that.

After 4:00p you can enter the park with just your party ticket...with or without a reservation. I'm 100% sure of this...I've been to 4 MVMCPs and 2 MNSSHPs.
I focus on the Christmas festivities more then the rides. This is what we did.
We got our picture done right at 7:00p. Then we did Buzz while DH got us seats for the second showing of Twas the Night Before Christmas". Then we did Toontown, then we did the fireworks, the Castle front show, then the 2nd parade.
I understand it to be that you have a "hard ticket" for MVMCP, so if you go to the Magic Kingdom after 4:00, you don't need to use up a day on you park tickets. We plan to have a nice lunch there that day, so we will need one of our hoppers, too. But, I think at 4:01pm, you only need the ticket for the party.
We went to MVMCP on sunday 12/4, we arrived at the MK at about 5:15pm and didn't need our regular park tickets, we only had to use our tickets for the party. We went in and did Buzz and Space Mountain before being sent over to Frontierland at 6.
