Questions on "Magic Shots"

Was it recently? I've had luck in the past calling and asking them to add the characters into the shot. But, it was within 30 days of when they had been taken.

I wish I knew this! We have a photo from AK where we were pointing to the ground without mouths open for Stitch, and we ended up with Tink over our heads. It looks so dumb!

Bummer. We were with a big group and I wasn't the one with download privileges so I didn't know what to do. Next time, I'll be sure to speak up if I notice a similar problem.

Where in Disney Springs? We plan to go there after check-out on our last day and I would love to get some more pictures with the kiddos.

When we were there in Dec there was a spot right when we got off the buses and walked in to Disney Springs in the section by the design a t-shirt store where the splash fountain is. It was off to the left and was a holiday scene. Sorry, I'm not sure what all of the areas are called now with all the construction. I don't know if that area is always available for photos or if it was just for Christmas.

I have often asked for a magic shot. They are happy to do it if they can Most times they have at least one they are set up for (tripod or not). As others have said, you can tell the characters from the pose, but if you ask, they may have a few they can do.

Is there a list of magic shots available?

last year we got Chip (Beauty & the Beast) near the fountains in France and Tink in the front of the park. Elsa, Olaf, trolls, stitch, Tink, balloons in DHS. Pumbaa, Stitch, Tink in AK. In MK, just Tink and Woody with Jessie near BTMR.

We were there in early June, and there was one Magic Shot of DH and me, where the "magic" was missing too. I was told on a message board (can't recall if it was here or another forum) to send an email or call to have it fixed. I sent them an email and got a generic reply telling me they'd look into it. Three days later, I got an email saying they added Pascal to the photo. Love that pic!

The available magic shots change regularly, so there's really no way to guarantee getting certain characters at certain locations. My best advice is just to ask every photographer you use if they have any magic shots and then enjoy being surprised when you see what you get.

We recently went to WDW and did a ton of magic shots with MM.
This is what we learned:
1. The one with the tripods don't do them - the one without the tripods do them.
2. All you have to do is ask for them
3. Tell them which ones you have done and they will try to do a different one
4. Different parks do park specific shots
5. They stop doing magic shots in all the parks at sun down. We were told this in all the parks by multiple photographers.

We love magic shots!! So Fun
