Questions about the SOG, please help.

My father was retired Air Force. He passed away in December 2014. My mother and father is/was HUGE Disney fans. My mother bought two Premium Annual Passes in January this year. She wants to go in November of this year (already booked) but now we are looking at the SOG for next year and I have a few questions, please help.

Real quick: my mother does have full benefits; very thankful for a wonderful father.

1) We are both disabled and we both rent scooters when we are down there; can we order from outside DW, like Buena Vista scooter, and they have it ready for us at SOG when we arrive?

2) She looked at the Red, White, and Blue Salute package and was wondering if she could book for September next year?

3) Does SOG have rooms with roll in showers? My mother can barely lift her legs to get in the car and showers or just horrible for her.

There are no current end dates for the r/w/b salute, just black out dates. You probably could go ahead and book that now if they are booking that far out. Although they often have good promotions for September, so you might be able to change it later for an even better special as they are released.

Oops, wasn't done.... They do have ADA rooms, and I feel confident that they will be able to accommodate your mother. They obviously cater to our service members, and unfortunately, the reality is too many of our men and women come home needing many different accommodations.

I don't know about scooters, but I imagine there are companies that will be able to meet your needs.

It's a great resort. Location is great and the rooms are massive! We enjoyed our stay immensely and will likely return. I hope you have a great trip!

SOG does have rooms with roll in showers, when you book online you can check the box for ADA rooms and it'll show what's available, things like tub with rails, or roll in shower are bookable categories.

As far as renting an ECV and having it held at bell services, I think that is something you'd need to call whichever company you want to use and ask about, though any company will probably deliever some have you meet them to pick up the rental and some will leave it with bell services.

I recall seeing a something on the militarydisneytips.com site about military discounts on ECV's as well, I would imagine the sites that provide the discount would also deliver to SOG!
