Questions about Holidays at Disney

How long do the Christmas decorations stay up?
Does Disney do anything special for around Valentine's Day?

I can't help you with Valentine's Day info...at least not until our solo trip in 2008.

As for the Christmas decorations, we arrived on January 7th (a Saturday) this year, and the decorations were up well into the following week. It was quite a bummer, actually. I love the decorations, but not so much after the first of the year.

This was about six years ago; I was at the Magic Kingdom on Valentine's Day; there was a special spot with Belle & the Beast by the castle; they had a Valentine's Day sign behind them & you could get your pic with them; I also have a pretty large sticker they were giving out in the park with Mickey & Minnie on it with the year and "Happy Valentine's Day"..the fireworks were done to the Disney love songs and some of the fireworks were hearts & one was actually a rose (brought tears to my eyes).

Not sure what they do lately.

We'll be there from the 3rd to the 7th of January and I'm actually looking forward to seeing all the decs still up. I'm a little bummed we can't go prior to the holidays this year and I really didn't want to miss all of the holiday decorations so I'm glad to hear they'll still be up for the most part.

I was hoping to still catch the tail end of everything. It was just so darn crowded a week and a half before Christmas this past year that I really didn't want to deal with those crowds again. I'm sure it'll still be busy the first week of the New Year but not as bad as it was just before xmas last year.
