Question re renting DVC points and fastpass+.

I'm contemplating renting dvc points for our upcoming 30th anniversary trip during Thanksgiving week (myself, DH, DS26, DS25, DS16 and one girlfriend (hope finance' by then)). First I'm leaning towards AKL studio (3 rooms). We have never stayed at AKL so I thought perhaps this might be the way to go. We'd arrive Tuesday November 25th and stay through Sunday. The other option would be two rooms at a moderate which I believe would be more in price if I'm figuring this out correctly. Ok, enough about my choices for resorts.

In looking at renting dvc points I'm wondering if I will be able to prebook the fastpass+ the 60 days prior to arriving. I know things can change but I'm wondering what the policy is at this moment.

Thank You for any assistance you can give me. I'm new to all of this even though this would be our 14 trip to WDW.

By all appearances, yes. You may have to experience MDE "friend" requests with the owner of the points. But once that's done and you are listed as a guest on the reservation, you should be able to manage the other planning activities for yourself.

Renters are able to use FP+. You would need to link the resort reservation and park admission to your My Disney Experience (MDX) account in order to make FP+ selections.

When you are calculating rates and points I would make sure I was at least looking at a standard studio. Values most likely are gone for that time.

Yes, you can add your confirmation onto my disney experience and make your fastpass selections as long as you have park ticket added.
