Question: Point transfer between members...

I do this a lot with a friend of ours. You can transfer points into another member's account but you will need his/her account number.

Tricky part is the use year if you are depositing borrowed points.

What is the tricky part?

The vacation is for this summer, wouldn't 2004 or 2005 points be acceptable?

I believe his UY and mine are the same, December.

If it is in the same use year, it won't be a problem. When it gets tricky is when you are depositing borrowed points. I have an April use year, he has a December.

I see. Gee... I actually lucked out on something. ;)

Thanks :)

MS does NOT need your membership number for points to be transfered into your account. Name address and phone number is sufficient.

I just did this last Thursday and I was asked the ACCOUNT number of the member that I was depositing the points into!

Really?? I was told by MS that the number isnt needed to transfer points into someones account. I mean who would mind someone transfering points INto their account, so all they need it the name, address and phone.

You shouldn't need the account# or membership# of the person you are transferring your points to.

You are only required to provide: Full name, address, phone number, and a description of the contract they want the points put into such as "their Beach Club Villas 200pt contract" or "their Hilton Head 50 point add-on contract".

Call back to ask for someone else if you get a CM who won't do the transfer w/o the membership#.

It may be a little outdated since I haven't double checked things w/ the latest Multi-site POS, but feel free to refer to the link in my sig for more info on transferring points. HTH.
