Question on Point Management

I have a question about points in our account and how to best use them for an upcoming reservation my UY is October, I have 87 points left on my OCT 13 UY I am looking to make a reservation for Oct 31 - Nov 3 (pre-cruise) but when I try to do this from the dvc member site, the OCT 13 points do not appear it goes directly to the OCT UY 14 points - does this mean that if I am not planning to use my remaining 87 points by Sept 30 2014 I need to bank them first and then I can use them for the Oct 31 reservation?

Yes, with an October use year, you must first bank the 2013 points before they can be used for your trip that will begin 10/31/2014.

You can bank online if you wish.
