If we end up going with Disney for our photography, I was wondering how accommodating they are. Do they come to your room before the ceremony and take the neat, artsy shots like those of your dress hanging up, the accessories, etc.? And will they take photos of you in different settings around the resort before the ceremony? Or do they strictly do the ceremony, post-ceremony, and reception shots?

And if you buy the high-resolution CD, does it come with a release so you can get prints made?

TIA! :goodvibes

If you hire them for a Wishes wedding, you can start the number of hours included in your package however you want - if you want them there an hour before the ceremony to take detail shots, for instance.

The Escape package includes 2 hours of photography, of which, 30 minutes is alloted before the ceremony.

Yes—it may not come with an actual release form (ours didn't), but there are no watermarks on the images and they are high-enough resolution to have them printed.

Thanks so much for the info! And as an aside, I've actually got your e-book open in the background as I type! It's answering so many of my questions -- I love it! :goodvibes

The release for the pictures was included as a pdf file on our high resolution cd, so you should be able to print that up and take into stores to get them printed. I know some places require proof that you own it.

I have another Disney photography related question: Are they able to play with the coloring on the photos at all? I love the style where the whole photo is black and white but maybe one part of the image is colored. Can they do things like that, or is just all color photos?

You can talk to your Disney Photo contact about that. The literature states that retouching (which is what that's considered) costs $50/hour with a one-hour minimum. However, they have started doing some special effects and retouching on a few photos as part of their service recently, so maybe if you let her know that you are interested in that style, the photographer will keep that in mind when s/he is editing your pix.
