does your asthma seem to get worse at night when you're trying to go to bed??

for the most part, during the day i'm alright. but at night when i'm trying to go to bed, my throat and my chest feel a little tight.

i don't want to take my inhaler at bedtime, because it usually keeps me awake for a bit.

plus, i'm not sure if it's a good idea to take it every day/night, you know??

i had taken it the other day, a few hours before bed because i was having a problem breathing and i noticed i had no problems with tightness in my throat or chest while trying to sleep.

if you have asthma and you have a similar problem, what do you do about it? does anything else besides an inhaler help??

i already use a humidifier in the bedroom, and we've even turned the one on the furnace on.

I have the same problem most of the time. It depends on the temp in the room and if I've been exposed to a trigger. My doctor put me on Singulair taken in the evening and that seems to help instead of using an inhaler.

My asthma flares up every time I lie down. I take Singulair every night and that seems to work. On really bad nights, I'll take just one puff of the inhaler. That doesn't make me too jittery.

i actually was on singulair for a while but the doctor's took me off, told me it didn't really seem to have any effect :confused3 but maybe i'll call them up again and ask if they can put me back on it.

one puff of the inhaler is also a good idea, i didn't think of that, thanks!
