Question about pre-MYW tickets

Hey all. I am new to this board & want to thank everyone for all the advice I've gathered from reading posts. Here is my dilemma. My family of 6 bought tickets in 2004, before the Magic Your Way plan started. We bought 6 day park hopper tickets, only wanting to use 3 days and then letting my bro & sister's family use the other 3 days when they go. Now I've heard that you have to have a finger scan so these tickets cannot be used by anyone else. Does anyone know about this, whether even the old-style tickets can definitely only be used by one person? Thanks in advance for any replies!

Disney tickets were always designed to only be used by one person. They are non transferable and if caught using someone elses they will be confiscated.. That being said if the old hopper tickets do not have a name or a signiture or if you have never used them for a finger scan your relatives could use them.I believe they would have to go to guest services and exchange the tickets to the myw tickets.They would then have to sign the back and do the finger scans. The reason Disney implamented this is so that there could be no transfering of tics. Like I said if those tickets have no proof of who purchased them it will not be questioned when exchanging them to myw... if they do then you are def out of luck.

You would use the tickets as-is. The finger scanner will be activated for your use just as if you were using an MYW ticket (or an annual pass).

For (pre-2005) park hopper plus tickets, to use them at Pleasure Island they need to be "calibrated" once either at the ticket trolley or in Adventurers Club or Comedy Warehouse.

Once you use these older tickets with the biometric scanner, the scan of the person who used it is linked to the ticket. They can't be used by another at that point. (Technically, they can't be used by another person anyway)

A couple of weeks ago I used the last 2 days of a 6 day hopper that was purchased in 2002 by my late mother. I used the biometric scanner but they did not make me sign it.

Did you already use your 3 days?
