Question about Pool Hopping

We are staying at Boardwalk in sept, and I was wondering for pool hopping, which is allowed to DVC members, Are we only allowed to pool hop at DVC resorts or can we go and swim say at the Polynesian Resort???

Also next year when we bring family can they pool hop too because they are staying at DVC too or do you actually have to be a member??

You can currently pool hop to any resort pool except, AKL pool, any YC/BC pool, Swan/Dolphin pools.

If you are a member and staying on points, you can pool hop as long as it is not blacked out. Most holiday periods have several days that pool hopping is blacked out for everyone. If you are not a member, you are not entitled to any DVC perks which include pool hopping.

If you are a member and your friends are staying with you as your guest at a DVC resort on points, they are entitled to some DVC perks, including pool hopping as long as you are with them.
