Me and my family are going to Disney world in Dec. We are on the DxDP but I have one question my 5 year old is more a snacker not a meal eater. Most times if we eat out me and here share a plate. If we are eating at Disney on the plan will they let me just order a meal for me and she eat of the plate? I just dont think she will eat her meal at ALL!!!

I am assuming you are paying for the plan for all of you in a package? You cannot have some on the plan and some not. That being said, our kids ate off our plates all the times both trips. Sometimes we would even use my dining credit for a full meal for one kid, and I would order the kids meal, then we would share all of it. No worries if your kid is not hungry. Our son slept through one dinner and they did not care that we did not order for him.

I'm not asking to not have her on the plan but if me an her go to a restaurant and only I order and use my dining credit is that allowed? I don't care if we don't use hers she and I always share!!! :)

Yes, you can order at a TS while she doesn't, except at buffets (where it won't matter anyway, since she has credits to spend on her own). If you don't want the food but would like to get her a beverage or maybe part of her "meal" (just the cup of soup, for example, or just the french fries), the servers could manage this for you and use her credit for it rather than charging you. Just because she has a meal credit doesn't mean she has to order an entire meal. And again, she doesn't have to order anything at all.

My mom and I frequently split meals when travelling to WDW together, nobody ever says a thing and many places bring us the meal already split on two plates.

For QS meals, you can order her a kids' meal and choose the grapes or apples or carrots or the cookies as her sides - these are fully packaged and can be carried with you for munching on later. If the location carries the PB&J kids meal, that uncrustable can also be carried away if she doesn't want to eat it. Otherwise, she can just eat the sandwich/pizza/etc and take the rest off with her to eat later. And of course she is not oliged to order anything at all, and you can leave her credits unused just like the TS ones.

She can of course eat part of your QS meal as well, if that is preferred, but this is a way to use her credits for things that may work better for her eating style - to be eaten in little parts over time rather than needing to finish it before you leave the restaurant.

Thank you for the information!!!!!

We've done that from time to time with our youngest. Often she's happier sharing from our plates than eating anything on the kids' menus, especially at 1 credit restaurants, but she also prefers to eat more often (we usually only have 2 full meals per day). So we used her unused credits for QS when she wanted something mid-afternoon or later in the evening. It takes a little research but there are restaurants in each of the parks that have better than standard kids choices, either because they don't have a kids' menu (Yorkshire Fish, Boulangerie Patisserie) or because they just have an unusual option or two (chicken leg at Flame Tree, sweet & sour chicken or caesar salad at Sunshine Seasons, etc).

The only issue would be buffet's where they will likely charge her if she eats. Otherwise sharing is not an issue even for adults.

Buffets may charge her even if she doesn't eat. Character meals absolutely will.
