Question about "Key to the World"

How does this work? Does every person get a key? does each room get one key? I'm just curious because we are 6 adults and 4 little kids in 2 rooms, and I'm sure there is going to be some splitting up amongst our group...I'd have to have to pay OOP for a CS meal if someone else had the "key" to our room...this will be our 1st time on property and our 1st time with the dining plan, so I'm new to this!

Everyone gets a key (3 years old and older). Each key has the person's name on it and it says adult or child. You can get charging priviledges on the adult only keys. All keys have access to the DDP credits, even the kids.

everyone in the room ages 3+ gets their own KTTW. as far as the DDP goes, each key has access to the entire pool of credits. so theoretically one person can use up all the snack credits on the first day. there's no way to restrict that.

However, you can add charging priveliges to the card, if you want to. I did for my kids, 12 and 14, on the last trip. It was great to send them on trips to the food court. However, I told them that I would be watching the expenditures closely. I trust my kids, or I never would have given them charging priveleges.

It's up to you whose cards get charging priviledges. You can just put it on yours and not anyone elses or put it on everyone's (even kids) or whoever you want.

Though she could use all of the DDP snack credits and get a massive belly ache from too many ice creams

I also have a KTTW card question. If I booked room only, will I still get charging priviledges? I already have park hopper tix from my last trip, can I add these remaining days to my KTTW? Thanks, didn't mean to steal the thread!!

Yes you can get charging priviledges added to your card. So long as you have a room, you can do it. I added new park hopper tickets I purchased elsewhere to the key card. They hadn't been used yet so it was definitely no problem. I'm not sure about one which has already been partially used though. It likely depends on the mood of the concierge. Give it a try, it can't hurt.

Thank You! I would love to have everything on just one card, last summer, I had my KTTW card and my park tix plus fast passes to manage so it would be much easier to have everything on one card.

The KTTW cards are also meant to be shown at the parks if you're doing evening EMH, so you can get the wrist bands. So everyone in you're party has to show them to the Cast Members and without them they are not allowed to participate in evening EMH.
