question about CRO's cancellation policy

I just called to make reservations for WL Concierge in October. When I've made reservations previously, I've always had the 5-day-prior cancellation policy, deposit amount equal to one night's stay , and remainder due upon check-in.

The CM I just spoke with said: that I had to cancel 45 days prior or would be charged $100 (or so) cancellation fee, that the deposit was $200, and that the remainder was due before check-in, I think 45 days prior as well.

Is this a new policy or is it just the policy when booking concierge? Thanks for any info!
 
sounds like you booked a package instead of room only .

Room only deposit one night stay plus tax , cancellation 5 days prior to arrival,

package , deposit 200.00 ( unless certain airfare included ) and cancellation 45 days prior to arrival.
 
If they gave you a 12-digit reservation number, then it is room-only with the 5-day cancellation policy. The castmember may have just been confused. If you have an 8-digit reservation number, you have booked a package.
 
Thanks for the quick replies! She must have been trying to book me for a package. I didn't have her hold the ressie for me, because I wanted to check with the experts here first. :cool: I'll call back & make sure to ask for a room-only booking.
