Question about check in day

I'm so sorry, because I should know this. Hypothetically, if free dining starts Dec 6th, and I'm supposed to check in Dec 5th for 7 days, does that mean none of my days are eligible for free dining? Trying to see if I need to change my dates just in case.

Your booking must START during a free dining period.
So no you would not be eligible for free dining if it starts on the 6th but you check in on the 5th.
You would either have to shift your trip by a day or you'd want to book a room only for the 5th and then the free dining packages starting the 6th.

If you really want the days you have already planned, could you maybe make 2 reservations? One for just the first day without the dining plan and then starting the second day when the dining plan is available have a new reservation. Even if you stay at the same resort (you can ask to keep the same room for the second Jessie).
