Question about boat transportation at SSR

We will be staying at SSR next month and was wondering if the boat transportation is only to and from DTD or does the boat also go to Port Orleans?

Reason for asking, my son likes to fish and we were looking for an easy way to get to the fishing hole at Port Orleans Riverside.

You would need to connect via DTD to travel by boat (even by bus). If you have a car, it would be easier to drive.
