Question about AMC Gold Experience

I am officially in the planning stages of my December Disney. I have my ADR's already and a couple of other things that need to be done but now, I am ready to add all the other stuff. I will be there for two weeks, I have an annual pass but I like to balance with some other things as well.

I want to try the AMC Movie and Dining thing. Has anyone brought the gold experience package thing and used that for the tickets for that particular theater? I know sometimes there are movies that say no vouchers, does that count as a voucher? I know that if I purchase it, there won't be a lost because I go to the movies a bunch anyways but I like to have as much paid for before I get there as possible.

I have used the AMC Gold tickets at the Dinner & Movie (or whatever its called) at DTD. You can use them but you will have to pay to upgrade them, there is an extra charge for those seats. I think it was $3 per ticket. You would have to pay to upgrade to use Gold tickets for a 3D movie so to me the charge seemed reasonable, but in the end you are really only saving a couple of dollars off the regular ticket price.

Having said that, I enjoyed the dinner & movie thing. The theaters are small and the seats are comfy. The service has been slow the two times I have been there, but to be fair the first time I went was right after they opened and their computer system was down. The food was decent, average prices, but it is dark in the theater so that makes eating a bit tricky, especially with kids. But there are so many great places to eat in DTD, so next time I would probably eat elsewhere and maybe get drinks or dessert in the theater. You don't have to order anything if you don't want to.

Also, you do get to pick your seats, which is nice but shows can sell out quickly especially on weekends. I would recommend buying tickets ahead of time, even the day before if possible. Then you can have your choice of seats. HTH!

Hi, we will be there around the same time around Christmas, and I wanted to also do this when we went this time (the Movie & Dine thing). We have not even done it here in Texas, however, I assume that this is the same thing with AMC. What is the Gold experience? I think that I will be looking this one up. It sounds like a good deal. I know that we have used regular vouchers before but (if I am not mistaken) as long as they are not new releases it should be fine

The Gold Experience package is something that you can get at Sam's or BJ's. It is 4 tickets and a popcorn voucher for 32 dollars. I checked the price of tickets for a movie and it sounded like a pretty good deal. I can always use the vouchers here if I can't use them there.
