We really didn’t get much rain, but drizzle.

I was very disappointed this morning. When I finally got to the lazy River at Storm Along Bay, I found I could not swim around as I usually did. I asked for help and a very kind woman gave me her float ! I just didn’t expect it!!! I will be sure to ask at my next appointment what can I do to get stronger! I used to swim around for an hour…I am grateful for the woman who helped!
I haven't been following updates on SAB. I'll be moving over there in early February from BWV. Owned since it opened and have only sat on the side watching youngest swim and do the slide when she was younger. Maybe if I get a great day, I'll try out the lazy river. I think they have one still? The big reason other than Epcot access to stay there - wasted on me! I pack a couple of bathing suits each trip but no one I'm with ever seems to want to go to a pool other than my grands and they don't get to come often enough.

I hope you regain your strength and are able to swim for an hour next trip! Take care.

Bobbiwoz Nice picture. What a kind lady to help you out. Hope you are having a nice time.

Good morning. It is 66 here now but temps are heading to around 90 today. I will walk early in the am and then go to our local mall which is partially deserted with so many store closings to walk in the AC in the afternoon.. I want to go to Bath and Body Works to look around too.

Have a good day.
Malls seem to be going the way of the dinosaurs. Even the town centers are showing empty spots where they were bustling for a few years. Online shopping is great for convenience but not so great for community. Plus the profits that used to support our communities in various ways are going to a few autocrats who get to determine our future through what was once our money. I just happened on the Forbes Billionaires list, so I'm a bit touchy and thinking about Medicare, school lunch programs and other things.

I'm seeing a bit of a resurgence in small ways near me. Our annual local flea market (crafters and second hand stuff) had its biggest attendance yet this year! I hope it means people are trying to be more intentional when they can.

Had another Masonic event to go to yesterday, and I'm tired but I enjoyed it. It was a "Family Fun Day" on the grounds of the American Heritage Museum in Hudson, MA. Different districts and Masonic organizations from throughout the state had booths set up (ours did ice cream) and there was tons of great food, activities for the kids, etc. I split crab cakes and a lobster roll with DH, and shared a funnel cake with one of the other volunteers.

We did a quick museum tour, and it's really quite good if you're at all into military history. They have some cool planes, tanks from various time periods, short films, etc. DH wants to go back when we have more time.

God Bless that kind lady dear Bobbi. Hugs, my friend I am so grateful to Hod that you and Tom are on this Disney trip. Indeed may you be feeling even stronger next time.

Prayers extra of health to you as well dear Judique. Thinking of you.

Sounds fun indeed dear PollyannaMom. I hope you also enjoyed your funnel cake sweet treat.

Dear Snowysmom, I still want to accompany you on a morning walk. God willing one day I will.

Monday hugs to all.

Temps near 90 again today, at least the humidity is lower.

Nothing new here, except that Summer doesn't seem to get texts any better with the new phone than she did with the old one (sarcastically said). I'm tired of waiting 2 days for an answer to a text

Have to run some paperwork over to the hospital's health bldg while it's cool out.

Have a good day

Good morning. Another really warm day today. Temps heading into the 90s but at least it is not very humid. It will be a gym day. The other day I went out on my front steps where I have a plant. Sitting on the very top of the tallest flower was a dragonfly. It just sat there while I watched for a bit. I took a picture as it was strange to see it so quiet and letting me watch it. So nice to see. Jeff's birthday was yesterday. He is 36 now. I got him some Disney t shirts and a gift card for their trip. Kenny and family are having fun in NH. He says it is too hot to do more than the pool and the waterpark. Clifford the dog is with them and he just settled in to the cabin and is chilling too.

Off to work. Have a good day.

Oh, geez, I am a couple of pages behind, I will have to go back and read later.
I’ve been in the hospital. :guilty: I updated on the BC thread if anyone wants to read more.
Thinking of all of you and hoping that you’re all doing ok. 🐥
Will post more later when things settle out.

I just read your update on the BC thread ( thanks to search I found out what thread you were referring to- for any other Quackers who want to read it, it's the breast cancer survivors thread), and am sending you prayers. I know how cellulitis can affect a body (Don had it in his leg and it was awful). I hope the meds continue to work and that you get to go home very soon.

Good morning. Another hot, 90 degree day. They now say we have a good chance of storms tomorrow morning and I hope they're right, we badly need rain.

]Summer has to make the 4 1/2 hour drive up and then back to pick up her hubby, but at least this time she has working AC, and that her engine is running somewhat better. Now she has to get the rest of the issue with the ball joint and steering arms fixed.

Nothing exciting going on here. Too hot to go outside again. Miss Tiger did show up for breakfast this morning after being MIA since Sunday. She was really hungry so I gave her an extra 1/2 a can of food.

Off to take the trash out and water before it gets any warmer.

Have a good day everyone

Almost time to call the guy to trim up my lawn. Actually it's past what I marked on my calendar but the cooler and dryer weather slowed the grass somewhat. Everything is still Spring Green here, which is nice in one sense but odd.

I'm somewhat afraid to work outside because of the tick bites I've gotten this summer. Two that I had to take doxycycline for. I would not use the push mower but could ride around the lower yard as it's not bumpy. Hardly worth it as the guy could do that part also in about 20 minutes.

Looking forward, as it gets cold I may move my brush trimming into the later part of the year. I love the outdoors but the blood report from the tick bites scared me enough to stay away.

Cut back the one cucumber plant I had on my deck. It produced 18 large cukes in a very short time span. Then it was becoming harder to keep it tidy plus the hot sun dried it to the point it had to be watered a lot. It still had 4 or 5 three inch starter cukes on it which I reluctantly cut back into the mulch. Meanwhile the tomato I moved up is not getting enough sun all day so I'll get someone to drag it into a better position and lift it up so it's not so much behind the deck rail spindles. Lots of tomatos just not turning red fast enough for me.

Meanwhile it's tax free school stuff season, plus I have an incentive of $50 for $500 spend on a card. And Target circle stuff, etc. Told DD to pick out some stuff for the girls for school. She probably hasn't looked at anything so I will prod and see what's up. I hate spending full when I can do it for less. And on top, I don't have to do so much.

Younger DD just left for work. She's normally WFH today but has a meeting so day switch to tomorrow. Tomorrow is rescheduled dental cleaning for me. Then Friday follow up visit with my doc about the MRI.
