Extra prayers, @flyingdumbo127 !

@PollyannaMom, glad your kitten has no infection! Yesterday Tom and I began a puzzle too!

@Judique, we get raptors too, every once in awhile.

Today we were to go to lunch with friends, we postponed it to next Wednesday, too windy.
Here he is, back again. All the birds have disappeared. Not a great pic, cellphone at 30x from about 250 feet away. I was able to easily identify him with binoculars. He's probably about 75 feet up high in this tree.

Good morning. Going to be 26 degrees today. The wind yesterday was blowing the snow around like it was a blizzard. Thankfully there's no wind today. Just a few snow flurries in the air.

I'm waiting for a call back from SS. My deposit went in this morning, but they took out a deduction for Silverscript Part D and I don't have Silverscript anymore. The premium went from $12.70 last year, to $47.40 this year, so I switched to Humana. I also got accepted for MD Senior Drug Assistance and they are paying the $27 Humana premium all year. I need to know how long SS is going to take to get all of this straightened out. I don't want to be overpaying and have them paying CVS Silverscript for something I don't even have anymore. I swear no one can do their jobs right anymore.

Summer's husband is at work in Chicago. So she calls in a Walmart food order for him every week. She called Monday night for a delivery last night between 5 and 7. Her husband goes to bed early because he has to get up to get ready for work at 3 am. Walmart sent her a notice that it was delayed and wouldn't be there until after 11. That wasn't acceptable so she called them back and explained the situation (this isn't the first time they've done this). So they delivered it at 8, to the wrong hotel room! Her husband had to go and see if his order was sitting outside someone else's door. Luckily it was so he got his food for the week, but you'd think that they'd be more careful delivering a large order.

I'm heading for the market to get a little shopping done early.

:( @pollyanna I'm sorry kitty is sad, but glad there's no infection

Have a good day

Happy Hump Day!

Finally got my driveway cleared. Took me another 2 hours yesterday morning. I needed it cleared b/c I had to work at Kohl's last night. No too busy.

Bailey sent me a picture of Mia playing outside in the snow Monday. She didn't have snow pants or snow boots. I found a pair of snow pants on Facebook Marketplace so I picked those up last night and then I stopped at Once Upon a Child on the way to work and found her a pair of snow boots, rain boots, and an old pair of cowbow boots so she can wear those as her "work" boots instead of her new cowboy boots. I'll drop those off to her tonight. I was thinking of picking her up from daycare tonight and take her to the library, then I remembered I have an eye appointment after work. I'll call soon to see if they have any cancellations.

That's all I have. Have a great day and stay warm!

Ahh!

I just say to myself that they have to eat too. I mostly seem to get Cooper Hawks.

Yesterday I watched Jimmy Carter as he landed at AAFB and proceeded to the Navy Memorial than on to the Capitol for public viewing. I wanted to try to go today but DD convinced me not to by her road report while enroute to her work this morning. 'Roads are horrible, Mom.' Enough for me. She didn't know my tentative plans when I said let me know how the roads are. In actuality I could take the Metro (subway) but that would involve much more walking than I would want on the slippery stuff. I could park at Union Station but that's probably everyone's plan. Walking on snow/ice and possible falls are to be avoided. Plus the line....

I spent 2 hours on the phone. Called SS, who called me back in 15 min. They say Humana has me listed as self pay. No I'm not. They said they don't know why any payment was deducted for Part D in Jan, because my account says do not auto deduct. They tell me to call Silverscript and tell them to return the payment to them, and I'll get it back, in 2-3 months. I call Silverscript and she can't find an active account for me, of course she can't, it ended on Dec 31. After 20 min, she says if they get a payment from SS it will be refused and sent back to SS. I call Humana and after 30 min on the phone, the girl can't find anything about the MD Senior program and tells me I'm self pay. By this time I had steam coming out of my ears, and wasn't happy. I asked for a supervisor, and she transferred me. In less than 5 min the guy had found the program and told me that I was indeed on it, and that I won't get any bills for premium. Then the insurance agent calls me and says so many people are having errors with SS deducting amounts they shouldn't, or wrong amounts. She said one person had a deduction that didn't belong to any drug plan. It's all a big mess. She said try and wait till March to get the money back they took out for this month, but if they try to take it out again next month to call her right away and she'll find out what's going on.

Now I'm getting out of the house and going to Walmart, with a splitting headache :(

The day got even better, NOT. I got a letter that out local CVS store is closing. They're closing 250 stores, and ours is a smaller one. So I either have to go to the one in Lavale that I hate, or transfer to Pharmacare or Walmart (where I don't know the pharmacists enough to trust) or to go mail order through Humana

Walmart was worse today than it was at Xmas time. It's snowing again too. Just got home and have to put stuff away. I had a bunch of hungry cats, so I had to stop and feed them first.

Hoping things are going ok for Mona out there. Came here to check on you, Mona! Stay safe! Sending 🙏

Speaking of cats, I was sitting out in my driveway last night late, on the phone w my sister, lights off, when I saw something shadowy walk by the car. I turned the lights on to see a white cat who looked skinny, dirty and cold. It’s bitterly cold here, in mid 20s with gusting winds. We put out a box with a couple of blankets in it on our front porch, and some food. Idk if it will come back. We might put out a trap to catch him, we’ll have to see if we can borrow one from Animal Control, which we’ve done before. Poor thing! Anything else I should do, cat people?

Well my sister last weekend decided to get married today due to her long time fiancé’s unexpected sudden retirement, so we had a lot of running around to do Monday and Tuesday (cake, flowers, ‘gift from mom’, get clothes ready, etc.) Did that this morning then had a luncheon and it was nice. Why drag things out? 🤣

All of you with so much snow, don’t hurt yourselves! We are expecting some snow this weekend, I think, hopefully after I finish my shifts so I can hunker down! (Yay!) We picked up a nice used snowblower in November that I saw at a second hand store and was in beautiful shape for next to nothing. ($100; same one usually around $800 at Lowe’s.) DH fired it up and it worked great. The other one we have wasn’t working right, but we haven’t had a lot of snow in the last several years, thankfully.

Making a french onion soup tonight with Swiss/gruyere cheese and french onion focaccia.

Enjoy the evening, all. 🐥

Thank you dear Pea and for your cat care, too. Dad and I are fine. There are no fire. I pray for those impacted. We did have very strong wind yesterday especially and part of today. Things sound a little calmer now. Thank God no more power outages. That would be a disaster safety wise for me. We were beyond blessed both times I was back here in my chair.

Grace of God as well, I've gotten more sleep today. Consistent painfree sleep is so healing for me. Dad stayed home today, too. As far as how I'm doing leg wise, I am very slowly getting stronger. Dad keeps an eye on me too/from the bathroom. Not an easy trip but by His Mercy doable. Here in CA, there is at least another week of open enrollment. I will be making healthcare calls.

Have a safe and good night, friends.

Happy Friday Eve.

We're expected to get more snow Friday night into Saturday. Not what I want.

I changed my eye appointment to earlier in the day yesterday so I was able to get Mia from daycare. We went to the library and played with the puzzles and building blocks, colored, and then picked out some books. Then we went to the chili place for dinner, she got spaghetti and cheese, ate it all plus mine and her oyster crackers. She loves her Skyline.

I picked up a pack of stuffed pork chops over the weekend from Kroger. I was planning on making those and take a couple to my sister last night, she had her 2nd knee replacement done Tuesday. One of my sisters is staying at her house until later today, she brought dinner, and then my other sister is staying with her today through Sunday, and he's bringing a big pot of soup and something else. She didn't need my pork chops. I ended up making them and taking them for Evan and Bailey to have. They ate them last night and Evan said they were really good, I'll have mine tonight.

Excited to see my new favorite game show was back on last night, Raid the Cage. Last winter, I tried to get my older sister to fill out the application so we could try to get on the show but she said the application was too long so she didn't do it. Really? I had mine already filled out.

Today and tomorrow are it and then I'm out of this dreaded office. I'm sure I'll like my new job, I just hope I like the people.

Back to work, have a great day!

Hug dear Carol and thank you for checking in on me so much. Prayers you are well. Dad and I are fine. Winds have also died down. I pray for all impacted and a fire safely end! This horrible tragedy has definitely extra spurred my prayers also for recovery. I know in God's time I will be completely healed. I understand better now how mobility truly is a blessing of safety! Be careful friends and stay safe.

Good morning. Cold and windy again today, but no more snow. High of 29 they say.

I slept in a bit this morning. Have gone to bed very late the last 2 nights and then not been able to sleep. Too much on my mind I guess.

New Chicago's were on last night, so I watched those, and Deal or No Deal Island.

Going to try and get the transferring of prescriptions taken care of today, though I don't need any refills until March. I'm not sure if they would fill them now since it's a new insurance company. They're only a few dollars each so I'd be fine if they did.

Have a good day everyone.

I have a friend in CA who has experienced as much as 48 hours of power outages. These outages are due to “public safety.” My prayers for all in CA, many are impacted by these as well as the awful fires.🙏

I have spent this morning watching President Carter’s funeral.

We will be rooting for Notre Dame this evening.
