Quarantine and chill and kindness chatty clubhouse: Jump in and join the conversation! All is welcome!

Good Wednesday morning. Rained again overnight, but not much from the looks of it. Chance of showers again today with temps in the low 80's. It's very muggy feeling outside.

Just picked 6 more tomato's. Not getting huge like they did last year when we got ones that weighed almost 1 1/2 lbs, but they're still good. Just waiting for Summer to get here, we're going shopping. I want to give her something for Lily. I got her a Visa gift card so she can get some new clothes for college. Even if all they wear is jeans with holes in them, at least she'll have some new stuff. I know money is tight in that household these days. Robert is working in IL again, they say the job is 9 months, and Summer has to drive him back and forth to the ride share guy every other weekend, which is a lot of gas and wear and tear on her car. At least now she has 2 of them that have no issues, for the time being.

@Snowysmom That's awful that Kenny's arbitration got pushed again. There's really no excuse for it to keep being dragged out like this. It's not fair to anyone. The stress has to be awful for him.

Have a nice day

Quick Hi. I am in between getting back from the office and heading out for errands and walking. I have noticed supermarket shelves seem to be getting a bit bare here and there and the prices are only going up. It goes between sun and clouds here and is around 80.

Have a good day.

HI Gang.

All is well here. Keeping busy painting bathrooms and planning trips.

I have used a National Park passport book since 1991 when I drove with my youngest down to Space Camp to pick up his brother who was attending the camp. So, the Cumberland Gap was my first passport stamp, and by the end of this trop, Olympic NP will be my most recent. My book has been well used. I have had to add additional pages to some sections.
Does anyone else use the National Park Passport?
I don't keep up on all your doings but had to comment on the NPS Passports. We are actually on our third one now. We started with one stamped Cape Hatteras Aug 4, '87. When we got into a problem with it being in the wrong car, we started a second. Now that the pages are falling out of the binding, we got a third one that is spiral bond. The most recent stamp is from the Missions in San Antonio this past April. So we have been getting stamps for 37 years.

Carol, such an extra Thursday blessing to see you. Thank you for stopping in! Please take care and have a great rest of summer.

Good afternoon hug to all. Dad went to JC Penney this morning to return the pajama pants that were so long. He said it took a good 20 minutes to get through the line because there was one customer service worker. The three customers in front of him all had coupons. Thankfully he did get a refund. He also went to a Dollar Tree and Target. He got a couple items at both places. Dollar Tree especially he has said seems to have more empty shelves than ever. I'm still hoping Dollar Tree comes into where our 99 Cent Only Store used to be. I do agree that stores in general, don't always have what they once did. Items also seem to come in waves, sometimes, season or weather depending. Get what you need when you are able to do so and it's available friends, online, as well!

Have a great rest of Thursday everyone :)

Flyingdumbo127 Unfortunately alot of stores do not have the staffing any more to make things quicker. I am glad it all worked out.

Good morning. The sun is actually out here. It is 62 now with temps going into the 80s. Good for walking. I went to Market Basket yesterday to pick up salads and they have some not so well stocked shelves. Not sure why. At least the price of the salads have been the same for a while after they initially went up a bit. This weekend I will be going to the Museum of Science with both families. I am glad they are using the passes I got them for Christmas. I have been so many times I feel like I could be a tour guide but I love seeing them have fun there. Tomorrow I will do housework and any more errands that need to be done. I may make something for dinner for the week, maybe pasta fagioli.

Off to work. Have a good day.

DS and I went there a lot when he was little, too. But I could sit and watch the tamarins for ages, so I loved it! His favorite for a long time was the playground science exhibit. Do they still have that?

Hi! I was at the San Antonio missions with DH, Mom and DSis in 1997. I love looking at the book, and it’s a spur to my memory of people and places!

DH picked a beautiful ripe tomato yesterday. BLT Today for sure!

Good morning friends🐤💕

Thanks, dear Snowysmom. I completely agree that so many places just don't have enough help or support. It's sad. May you and your family have a wonderful time at the museum. Dad took me as a kid all the time to the now years gone Children's Museum. We would also go to the Museum of Science and Industry. I volunteered and worked at a Children's Museum while in college. Thanks my friend for the memories. You are a wonderful grandma!

Dear PollyannaMom and Bobbi, you both are also lovely mothers and grandmothers. I'm so glad you each also have positive museum memories.

Friday joy to all. I will check back later.

Good morning. Welcome to another sunny mid 80's day. Heat starts coming back again tomorrow. At least it's less humid today.

I've already watered everything, cleaned the birdbaths and feeders, and picked a few more tomato's. I'm already getting sick of them. Why I keep planting so many is beyond me. Mostly it just supplies the neighbor, lol. No garden next year, I've already decided. I'll have Dave take down the fence and I'll just plant grass seed.

I was watching one of the outdoor cats when I called them for breakfast. Since the fence is new, there's no more holes under it where they can come and go as they please. One of them was in there, and I watched as he scaled up the fence to the top and then jumped over. Where there's a will, there's a way!

I may watch the opening ceremony for the Olympics tonight, but I'm not into the summer ones, so I'm going to skip most everything else.

Have a nice Friday

Good morning!

From experience I know the cats can scale my 6 ft fences easily!

The Olympics - I'll be watching Jessica Stevens from Maryland compete in women's trampolining. She's 24, a senior at University of Maryland and trains where my grandchildren take gymnastics classes as well as are in afterschool programs and swimming. She also does some of the teaching there, and my younger 7yo DGD loves her when she is the teacher. 8yo is doing excellent in gymnastics and has moved up to a more advanced class. I wish her all the best in Paris!

If any are interested in a youtube video (2 minutes) that shows her in competition at Birmingham doing almost 2 story high spins in the air check it out here:

As far as watching her Olympic performance trampolining will be aired August 2nd starting with qualifications at 6am, (noon Paris time) and going forward until 7:30am on NBC. If she wins for the US I'm sure it will be all over our local news.

Good morning. Pleasant day here with mid 70's and lower humidity.

We got the results of Anthony's blood work and thankfully no Lyme Disease. Just a weird virus that evidently is going around. I never knew my son had it a couple of weeks ago.

The shoe frustration has started with my husbands shoes again. I had to take Ella to work this morning and there is an office right by her so I stopped in. It was like night and day. They were so helpful, agreed that he can get the shoes now not wait til November to start the process and I walked out with an appointment for next week. It's a bit further away but doable and the staff was so much nicer.

I went out to walk the dog this morning and my crazy neighbor parked blocking half of the shared driveway. I was able to get out with a bit of a tight squeeze and thankfully the neighbor I share the driveway with was able to get out while I was gone. This woman can NOT park. Then I noticed her driver door window was smashed in. Not sure what happened there but she keeps most of her possessions in the car. She is "living" with a neighbor and he is always throwing her out because she drinks all of his beer. I have a feeling she may have been drinking when she came back last night. I try and stay away as much as I can because I am not a fan of her political conversations, we do not agree on anything, and I learned a long time ago to just walk away. My husband loves the debates with her. My neighborhood is interesting to say the least.

I haven't noticed empty shelves around me lately. Maybe it's regional.

Hope you all have a great day.

I had no idea trampolining was a Olympic Sport!
I think we have a handful of MD athletes completing this year, that's cool.

It's been a sport since 2000, about 24 years! But, I never heard of it until Jessica won her spot last month and my DD sent me a pic of her and the girls from a send off party they had for her. (the facility I mean.)
