Good sunny Saturday morning. Perfect weather today, 82 degrees, sun, and a nice breeze. Wow did we have some rain last night. It was coming down in sheets, and the wind was blowing it like a huge cloud down the street. Everything is soaked this morning but should dry out by dinnertime so I can mow. I want to get it done before the 95 degree weather hits this coming week.

I've done all my morning chores. I went to sleep at 2 am and was up at 7. I had a burst of energy so got everything done.

Have a nice Saturday

Tazdev What a nice graduation for Mikey. It is hard to kids to change schools at first but they always seem to meet new friends and adjust to the change.

It is sunny here today and in the low 70s. Good walking weather. I took myself out to breakfast as I am trying to do once a month. There is a little breakfast place in the next town that is really good, the owner and waitstaff are kind and friendly. If I go a bit before 7 it is not busy but there are a few people there. I read and eat. Then I did some housework, changed the bed, went walking at the lake, did more housework, and started looking at stuff for the cruise. I hope to go to TJ Maxx later and look for a few things. I need to keep busy!

Have a good Saturday.

On page 2 not sure that is allowed

Lancaster was fun yesterday, just me and my girls. No friends this trip and Mikey stayed home. We did fine tune the party and picked up some things we will need, especially produce. I got a couple of pins and ornaments at the Disney store but what they have has been going downhill recently. The whole Outlet Mall is declining as an entire section is empty and barricaded from entry. It used to be a favorite part of our Lancaster trips. I'll still go though for Disney and the Pepperidge Farm outlet. I can get some good deals there for snacks for Jim. We did stop for ice cream at our favorites spot, the ice cream is so good, and there were a few kittens roaming. I gave one a taste of the ice cream and she wouldn't leave me alone after that. She must have guessed I'm a sucker for those sad kitten eyes so I would up using 8 fingers for her to lick some ice cream and then a small piece of the cone which she gobbled up. I think my husband was surprised I didn't come home with a new kitten. Overall a fun, but long, day.

Not much else going on around here though it is forecasted to be HOT today. Thankfully the AC with the ceiling fan makes it tolerable in the house, Hope you all have a good day

Page 2 is definitely not allowed, dear Taz:hug:I'm truly so thankful you enjoyed some fun and a treat, too. Thank you for sharing your 🍦with the kitty.

Sunday joy and Father's Day cheer to all celebrating. Extra 🙏❤️to those of dear you for which today is harder. Thinking of you always with love and care. You are not alone. Forever God is with you. By His making and keeping us a Quacker family, I care, too🐣:grouphug:to all my Quacker family.

Good Morning. Happy Father's Day. It is around 50 now with temps heading into the 70s. This week the temps are supposed to be near 100. The day I go in the office is forecast for 100. Luckily the AC is on high there. So far I have taken a walk, cleaned the walk in shower, and had breakfast. Next up will be logging into work for a bit.

Have a good Sunday.

Yikes! - I hadn't looked ahead to upcoming temps this week.

Was out with the kitties this morning, and it was pretty nice for the moment. - Guess I'd better enjoy it while I can!

Good morning.

Going to be 87 today and then temps mid 90's the rest of the week. Summertime is arrivin

I mowed the lawn after dinner last night so that's done, probably for the week with the heat.

I texted Luke (Don's younger son) this morning to tell him Happy Fathers Day and he told me that he and Ben are coming up on Tuesday night and staying until Wednesday night. He told Summer he was coming up to get Don's ashes to scatter in the ocean. I just assumed that was why he was coming up, even though he never mentioned it to me.

Summer called me in tears missing her Dad today, and we spent an hour on the phone. She wants to come over today and help me put the ashes in the containers. Not really what I planned to do on Father's Day but she seems to think it might help her deal with it in some way.

I'm going to dry rub some baby back ribs to put on the grill tonight, and then find something else to do.

Have a nice day everyone.

I hope everyone celebrating had a nice Father’s Day. Hugs, Lynn, and anyone else who wants/needs one.

We took DH out to breakfast and then did some kalooping around. Nice day. DS was doing a double at work so we went by so DH (and Grady) could see him and dropped him off some home made chicken caesar salad wraps (his favorite) and potato salad. G really misses his buddy.

Went to a couple of Open Houses with DD this weekend just to get a feel for looking at real estate. She’s still a ways away from buying anything but both of these houses were nice examples of what she’ll be looking for in the future, and it was fun seeing her being the one to talk to the real estate agent, etc. (Most people think she’s a lot younger than she is, so this surprised both agents a bit, lol. She also went out to dinner last week and the waitress apologized to her afterward - hadn’t carded her boyfriend - saying she couldn’t believe she was that age. She’s had patients be surprised, too.) There was one couple at the house we went to today who were young and pregnant and I found myself secretly hoping they got the house. :goodvibes

Weather was perfect today. As others have said, it’s going to be oppressive here this coming week. Thankfully we’re off and hanging around doing some work around the house, so we’ll be able to stay pretty relaxed and cool. Things are shaping up quite a bit here, it feels good. Still have lots to do but we got rid of a lot of stuff in the yard and in the shed and basement. And the flowers all look so nice. I matched them to the new house paint color and I really like the change.

@taz at one time we had two nice outlet malls and they both closed. 😬 Our Disney store at the mall closed long ago, and even our Pepperidge Farm store closed recently. Ugh. I hate when stores I enjoy close! I am also surprised you did not come home with that kitten! 😆 Which reminds me, I saw something today at a nice consignment shop I should’ve bought and it only hit me later, will have to go back for it some time this week! Lol.

I hope all of you are doing well and have a nice week. 🐥

Hug dear Pea and so glad you and your family had a nice day. Extra hug to your daughter. I look younger than I am, too. When I was much younger, especially during my university and early teaching years, I think some waitresses and others also thought I was not the actual age I was. There were times when that was not always positive. I remember about ten years ago someone from church thought I was much younger than I was, in that context it was much more positive which definitely made a difference from past experiences. Dad and I both today look younger than we are and look at it as a blessing because to us every day truly is. Sweet Dreams with love to all my Quacker family.

Lynn I hope Summer was able to find some peace yesterday.

Good Morning. It is 56 now with temps heading to the 70s. The rest of the week will be hot and humid. Need to rethink my walks. I may go to the gym one day and other days walk earlier in the day and in the early evening. I saw Kenny and the kids yesterday. They have a community pool that they joined so I just went and watched and read a book. Then I had dinner with them. I did a videochat with Jeff and kids. It was tough that Chris was not here with the kids and grandkids. Kenny and Jeff spent their Father's days with their kids. I know they miss Dad.

Off to work. Have a good day.

Good morning. The heat wave has begun. Temps of 98 today and tomorrow, mid 90's the rest of the week.
Just time for a quick hello. Summer is on her way here after dropping her husband off at the work pick up spot. We're going to do some cleaning and pricing of yard sale items

Have a nice day, stay cool!

Hi
Just checking in. We went for bike ride and pool this morning, and just resting this afternoon. We have a library cooking demo this evening. I’m not sure what will be prepared, but I wanted a night out, so I signed up!
Not expecting that high temperatures in Cape May this week.Weather Channel says it’s 74° now, but it does feel warmer.
Good afternoon!
