Extra :grouphug:Snowysmom!

Footballmouse, Amazon return fees seem to depend on the item! Almost always for us, Whole Foods or a UPS store are free options. No packaging needed only the return code. I'm sorry you are having trouble this way :(

Easyas, you take care of yourself please!

Hope everyone is having a good afternoon. Reminder if you see this, please let me know by early evening whether you would like to contribute a postcard for my dad's surprise but are having trouble finding one. Zazzle does have today only 50% off postcards. I have the free trial of Zazzle + so there is no minimum for free shipping. Zazzle has a ton of postcard choices. Please PM me any preferences you may have for me to pick from (Your home state, scenic, Disney, birthday, etc) I am ordering a postcard for at least one other person already so no trouble to order more. I would need each of you to write a message on the back to my dad. Mail me the postcard with your message inside an envelope that is only addressed to me before December. PM me and thank you all so much :)
The bolded threw me. I have never had to pay a return fee for anything on Amazon. Of course I have Prime, so I don't know if that makes a difference. Even if it's to a third party seller, I can return anything for free.

Has anyone else noticed when returning something to Amazon that Kohl's is no longer an option, there is $1 charge for the UPS store now, and now Staples is a player in the return spots (free). Or is this just my options?
Kohl's isn't an option for us these days, but dropping off at either Whole Foods or Amazon Fresh is the standard return method offered. No packaging needed, just the QR return code. And once the code is scanned, the refund process begins. Sometimes we can get a refund back on our card in just an hour or two!

Same here, but we also make sure to try not to buy things that don't offer free returns.

This is also my experience, plus Staples has a push on with a $10 of $30 coupon if you use them to return to Amazon. I sometimes will buy coffee, wet wipes, etc.

Interesting to read about bears and coyotes. We did see a bear in NH this past summer. At my old house we had coyotes and I would see one sometimes when looking out the window at night. Kenny has a doorbell camera and caught 3 coyotes walking by and they were big ones. There were coyotes at the last condo complex I lived in and I am sure there are some here as it is all woods around. I really don't want to see them or a bear. We also had foxes at my old house. Deer also made an occasional appearance. We weren't in a really woody area but still had the wildlife.

Good morning. Cool again and rain expected. This weekend is supposed to be rainy. I am going to fight with the condo mgmt today to get my dripping water issue fixed. I am calling the next level mgmt. I am still waiting to hear back from my real estate agent and attorney. I met another person yesterday and walked with her a bit. She filled me in on things and told me my fix needs to be done. The builder here is not exactly trustworthy. I am surprised that with my due diligence I did not find anything red flags before buying. Kenny asked if he could call someone and I may just sic him on them. I honestly feel like the universe is mad at me. I am going to Kenny's for dinner tonight. The kids will be there. I am bringing them Halloween bags with candy and a book. I won't see them again probably until Halloween. Kenny will get some candy too.

Off to work. Have a good day.

Happy Friday!🌧️

Boring night last night, we had a lot of rain on and off. Luckily I was able to get my garbage cans to the curb between the rain spurts.

Work night shift this weekend so hopefully I'll be able to get some things done around the house Sunday afternoon. I was thinking of putting my deck furniture in the shed and getting that organized but I don't know if I'll have enough time.

Snowysmom - hopefully you don't have to wait long to get the leak issue resolved.

That's about it, have a great weekend!

Amazon told me that only items bought and shipped by Amazon can be returned through Kohl's because it can take weeks for them to get the items back. Makes no sense to me. I returned something to UPS yesterday and there was no charge. I read that there can be a charge if you want to return to them, rather than another closer drop off location, but for me UPS is the closest. I usually use the 'try before you buy' option, and it seems to get back to Amazon faster. My return is already showing back in my account this morning, so I won't get charged for it. Our Staples is the same distance as Kohls is here.

Good rainy morning. So much for their saying we would get near 70 again. We are at 54 and it's going to 56, lol. Good thing we moved the tree cutting to next weekend.
I'm still stiff and tired from everything I did Wed and yesterday, so it will be a light chore day, if any get done. I need to watch Survivor and I'm 2 behind on Amazing Race so maybe I'll catch up on those.

Have a good day everyone

Amazon told me that only items bought and shipped by Amazon can be returned through Kohl's because it can take weeks for them to get the items back.

This reminded me of a situation we had this summer. So I bought a tent (not camping, rather canopy type) off of Ebay that I thought was pop up but when I got it I realized it was something that needed to be put up with tent poles. Anyhow - I returned it, and luckily for me the return had a tracking #. So it only went to northern NJ from MD - so not that far, but it languished for days and then weeks at whatever facility in NJ it landed in. AND so long as it wasn't "delivered" I was unable to get my refund. So when I finally called USPS to ask why it was seemingly stranded in this postal depot they let me in on some information I was unaware of. So when different Companies that deal in large amounts of shipping and often have returned merchandice coming back to them can make a deal with USPS at these large depots that the returns will stay there - basically stored there - until the Company comes and picks up their returns. Sometimes it's only once or twice a month she told me - she said some Companies were much better about picking up their returns than others.
After I hung up with her I contacted Ebay and explained the situation and had my refund within the hour. AFter that I stopped tracking the package - I've got no idea when the eventually picked it up!

Good Morning Friends :)

I never have had to pay an Amazon fee thank goodness to return. Sometimes depending on the item and where I would want to return it there could be a charge. Dad has said our nearby Whole Foods is super easy. We also have a UPS store not far away and a FedEx which has been a drop off at times, too. Definitely grateful for options. ITA that Amazon is great about a quick refund return.

A kind Verizon customer service agent Thomas was wonderful yesterday afternoon. He helped both me and my dad troubleshoot our phones. I enjoyed a long conversation with Barbara Ann on my new 📱

Is mail showing down for any of you out there? It still seems to be slower here. 3 weeks later I still have yet to get mail from a friend 6 hours away in Phoenix! Glad to have started dad's surprise so early!

Have a great day everyone. I will check back later.

I bet they will be excited!

Definitely! Several things arrived later than expected, both things I sent and things I received.

Good evening. No mail problems here in south Jersey. Sadly, right now, the Phillies are losing.

We cancelled our “much looked forward to“ visit to NC to be with our friend. However, Gus had come home from his last stay with some health issues. His new medicines are helping him, so we feel it was the right decision.

Good night, all.

Bobbiwoz I hope Gus continues to get better.

Good morning. Or actually for me not so much. The builder will not send anyone to fix my leak due to the stop work order. That order does not mean they are not supposed to do necessary repairs on existing condos under the warranty clause. And now I have 2 dripping areas instead of just one. It most likely is not the scenario that the plumber thought when he was here on Tuesday. I have not used the master bathroom since Wednesday and it is still dripping in the basement. I am beyond angry and disturbed. I may need to shut off the water at this point. I hope that would stop the leaks. The builder's attorney has not gotten back to my attorney. I am emailing my agent again to let her know it has gotten worse. I am going to ask if I get in a plumber and send the bill to the builder, will that void my warranty. It shouldn't since they are refusing to do the work. I am sorry to be venting here but it helps to write it out. I have to cancel my hair appt today which I know is not a big deal but Kenny is very busy today and I have to work with his schedule so he can come over. I certainly have buyer's remorse. I like the community and the people are very nice so far. I just can't deal with an unethical and unresponsive builder. I just want some peace and calm in my life and it is eluding me.

On the good news side Kenny is meeting a rescue lab today who he may adopt. The person fostering the dog says he is such a good dog, mellow, good with kids and cats, likes to play fetch, house trained, and goes into his crate easily. He is a yellow lab, medium size, about 3 years old. Kenny is excited.

Have a good day.

Good cloudy, windy, might rain again Saturday. The yard is full of leaves and more are falling like raindrops. Soon it will really look like fall.

@Snowysmom Sorry about the continuing water leak issues. I wouldn't think a stop work order would affect something that's supposed to already have been taken care of. I hope the agent can get something done for you. It's sad that you have a new master bath and can't use it.

Going to strip and remake the bed and at least sweep the kitchen floor and shake out the rugs. Maybe do some clothes cleaning out of my own, although I try to keep on top of it. I think I'm going to put most of my summer clothes down in the totes and swap them out for winter ones. Other than being 70 Friday and Saturday next weekend, our temps will only be in the 50's. Finally gave in and put the heat on yesterday for a little while. I hate the thought of it being on until next March, but in order to be comfortable and keep Don from being chilled all the time, it's a necessity.

Have a great Saturday

Good morning.

Got back from my trip Wednesday and right back to the real world Thursday. I did have a great trip, upgraded to an AP so I see another trip in March, I did it mainly because I am going in September with a friend and this made sense financially. The only downside to the trip is that my allergies, which always settle in my sinuses, turned into a full blown head cold.

It's a little dreary here today and I have to go to my grandson's homecoming game for football this afternoon. Not much else going on around here. Really hope the Phillies get it together tonight and get a win. They blew the last 2 games in the 8th or 9th innings with really bad relief pitching. I still think they will win the series, or at least I hope they win the series.

Have a great Saturday
