Have you looked at jeans from Lands End? They still have regular (i.e. not fake or just decorative), useful pockets. And there is a utility jean style this year that has side pockets. There are always online coupons for LE -- you can get a significant discount and free shipping! Hope you find jeans you like somewhere. Well, my back is just about broken but I made a big dent in my clothing. I got five bags for donation so far, and I haven’t even done my closet or lingerie chest yet. I tried just about everything on to see if and how things fit (happy to say everything did; that wasn’t the case last time) but styles have changed and maybe even my physique (my reflection in the mirror looked like my mother’s - not a bad thing, but a little surprised how much I’m looking like her now, especially my legs!).

Jeans? Wow, I had a lot of different types. I let quite a few go. I tend to like the legs tighter now than before, and many were wide legged or boot cut. I did save one or two of the boot cut for when I wear my boots, but I have plenty of jeans that I liked. (Though I realized I have to buy some black ones, I just bought some new black ankle length boots.) I’m packing at the same time - going away later this week and it’s close to 100 degrees there still, so that’s a little tricky. Dogs know something’s going on and have that worried look on their faces, especially Toto. Not too happy about changing planes, I’m a nervous flyer and we almost always book non-stop to WDW. But this was what worked for this trip. Wish me luck.

Oh, haha, not nearly as fun as last year when I got the brown Frye’s, right?

The older pair of black boots I had were getting a bit long in the tooth, and weren’t the best anyway. I saw some flash by me on Instagram that I liked, but I thought the price was sort of high compared to others like them, shopping around. So I got these. I haven’t worn them yet, but they feel very comfortable. They were 1/3 off on Amazon day, too. Don’t laugh, but they are Dr Scholl’s! Where are you with your boot buying?

PS I also really liked these Skechers for taking the dogs out in the muck. (Messy!) But they don’t seem to have any in the larger sizes in this darker color. I have some nylon ones I keep in the car to change into which will be fine. I am still in flip flops (and my feet are getting a little chilly but I really don’t like wearing shoes or boots, believe it or not - only when I absolutely have to!).

Jeans shopping is right up there with bathing suit shopping. I am definitely pear shaped with heavier legs than I like. I need jeans that are a bit stretchy and boot cut or straight leg works best. I am not a skinny leg jean person. I will take a look at Land's End. I usually wear Lee jeans that are a thinner denim and are forgiving. I am finding the pockets are getting smaller.

@Pea-n-Me I like the black boots. I find Dr. Scholl products are comfortable. I may have to take a look.

My heat has been on during the night. I have it at 66. I am not happy with having to put it on but I also can't be so cold either. I need a happen medium. I have a drip downstairs in the basement. Have I said I am not a happy camper with this place? My kids keep telling me to get the kinks out now and it will be better down the road. I do not see that. I am going to talk with one of the guys who came by last week to fix my windows and the door stop. He did tell me to ask hm to look at anything that I find isn't working right. It is only a little bit right now but it is not near any walls or windows so my sense tells me something is loose somewhere. I really need a break so I can just be with life for a while. The past 2 years have been going going going and dealing with so much. I need to just "be" for a while. I am praying for that every day. Therapy appt today. I hope it is better than my last appt. That one was not very helpful.

Happy Tuesday!

Jumping on real quick. Worked from home yesterday so I was able to get things done around the house. I got Mitchell's old room all straigthened out and cleaned up. I got used to just throwing things in there (out of sight, out of mind type things) so that was organized. I have a couple of bags for Goodwill. Hung up my new shoe organizer in the other spare bedroom and got my shoes all situated . Washed my sheets and pillows yesterday and meal prepped my breakfast for the week. Good thing I wasn't busy for work.

I mentioned yesterday that I watched the Haunted Mansion movies, I also watched Champions on Amazon Prime. It's about a basketball coach and his mentally challenged team . It was really cute. Last night I watched an older movie, For the Love of the Game with Kevin Costner (Amazon Prime I think). That was about a baseball player trying to decide if he should retire . Two thumbs up for that movie.

Pea-n-Me - I love those Sketchers that you posted. I like that color but I would need a bigger size also . I like shoes like that for going to work since I have to change when I get there. I'm always looking for something easy to slip on and off when it gets cold.

@Snowysmom Your kids are right, get all those little kinks about the condo worked out. Have them find the drip before it becomes a worse issue. Once you get everything working right, you'll start feeling better about things.

Took the trash down, fed the cats. The little one from outside has been inside for 2 days and she seems to love it. She sat on the coffee table, and on the tv cabinet last night watching the football game with Don. She would crane her neck every time the players went off the side of the screen. She walks in front of it and behind it trying to figure out where the people are that she hears, lol

Newtrouble already Dad will be going to a Verizon store with the phone this afternoon. The phone doesn't seem to connect to voice mail (allow me to check messages) or properly allow me to always make a call. My friend Judy yesterday couldn't hear me. I could hear her fine. Dad and I also, of course, want to make certain this phone truly is new and not refurbished! That has happened to us before

Your postcard for my dad can really have any image as long as it is horizontal.

Please write a message on the back to my dad (I will give you his first name via PM) Remember to mail the postcard inside an envelope that is only addressed to me (no dad's name on the envelope. Keeping this a surprise for him). I need any contributions by the middle of December. Big thanks for all who have already contributed and who are going to do so. To anyone else, PM me more for more info. I would also be happy to send any of you a postcard to write a message on if need be if you'd be willing to do that and then mail it back to me inside an envelope. PM me. Thank you!

It was a beautiful day today. We love the off season here in Cape May, we rode our bikes to City Hall to pay property tax. It’s great without much traffic!

I have begun to bring in plants that I’ve had outside for the summer.

Our Nantucket daisies are having a good showing this fall!

As you said, this year isn't nearly as fun as last year (yet!). But I did get 2 pairs of TOMS kids boots (one black, one brown). The kid sizes fit me better in this brand and are usually less expensive, too. The website had a sale and a discount code, so that meant a good deal. I also replaced my UGG Rianne boots from last year (Amazon sale!). So comfortable! The old boots held up quite well and have now become my "beater" pair. Glad you were able to find nice boots and hope you can find the Skechers you want!

Good Morning. I am getting used to the cooler mornings. I had a good therapist appt yesterday. I am still and will always deal with the loneliness issue. She is trying to help but it is ingrained in me. I have also had so many issues in the past 2 years that I have hit the wall and really find it hard to do much more. She knows my anxiety is also part of me and is increasing and is trying to help me. She suggested a book that I ordered. I was hoping this condo would give me some peace but instead I am dealing with issues again. The plumber came over yesterday to look at the drip in my basement. He said all the pipes in the area look fine. He has an idea it is my master shower tile floor leaking. There is dripping for hours after the shower is run. It did drip again after they ran the shower yesterday and I took pictures. I looked this morning and it is not dripping. I did just take a shower so I will go look again in a bit to see if it is dripping. He said he is working across the street so I can just come and get him to take a look. If it is the floor they are going to have to take it apart and fix it. Kenny thinks it may be the floor pan. I am just concerned that they can't fix it. Everyone tells me they have to fix it. More headaches. I am driving my kids crazy.
