Good afternoon :grouphug:with love to all!

Dad tomorrow will be going to Dollar to pick up an order. I just called Roadrunner Sports because it's on his way home in the same shopping area as a CVS that he'll be stopping in anyway. The person I just spoke to at the store was very nice and explained no appointment for the free consultation is needed and that it takes about 10 minutes. Beyond that depends on whether you (meaning the person getting the consultation) wants to try and orthotics or shoes. Dad, I am hoping will do this. God willing next week, when I go to the dentist, perhaps I can do the consultation on our way home. We will again be going right past this shopping area. I'll definitely keep all of you posted. Thank you all most sincerely always for your extra prayers and love, feet healing wishes!

Waiting for mail to come including a Zazzle order that will have some birthday surprises for dad inside :) Should any of you be interested in buying anything on Zazzle, please let me know before you create an account. I think we both could get a discount. On a cell phone note, my new phone has shipped from a Walmart about an hour and a half away so it definitely should come tomorrow.

❤️to all always.

What kind of phone did you get this time Mona?

Good morning. Another cold one. My heat actually came on for a bit. It is supposed to get into the upper 60s today. I met one of my neighbors again. I have talked with her a few times. She is on the next street. I was walking by her condo and she yelled out to me. She needed help with some dresses she was trying on for he sons' weddings. So we chatted while she tried on 2 and she asked my opinion. She gave me some of the scoop about the building of the condos as she was one of the first to live here. It was nice to chat for a bit. I did have to get back to work. I will say people here at least say Hello when they see you unlike where I lived before. I am just sitting back right now and trying to figure things out. I am always that and don't like to jump into things too quickly. I did to to Home goods to look for a desk lamp and ended up getting some things other than that. Now I have to go look for the lamp elsewhere.

Off to work. Have a good day.

Good chilly morning. It was 35 degrees when I got up. We have a frost warning overnight today. Brrr.

@Snowysmom I'm so glad you're meeting new neighbors, that's going to be a big help to you in feeling more settled

Don has a cardiologist appointment this afternoon for a 6 month follow up. New doctor, so far he's had 4 different ones in the same practice. They just don't stay more than a couple of years. My cardiologist said he really likes this new one and I trust his recommendation, so keeping my fingers x'd. Going to stop at the battery place down the street from us on the way home and have the battery tested. Dealer said it's only cranking at 425 when it's supposed to be 600 something. I got the receipt out last night and it isn't 2 years old yet, with a 5 year warranty, so even if it needs to be replaced, it won't cost us the full amount. They're saying this winter is going to be colder and snowier than usual, so I want to be prepared with a car that starts every time.

I'm going to do grocery shopping and other errands tomorrow instead of today.

Have a great day all

Happy Wednesday!:sunny:

Picked up my grill yesterday and started to put it together. I got about 60% done, but I need a couple of more hands.🖐️

Snowysmom - glad to hear you found a friend at your new condo. Sounds like your friend is very personable and since she knows all the juice around the complex, that's who I would be friends with.😏

Well I didn't feel like heating up my pork chop and green beans for dinner last night. After all my work on the grill I decided to treat myself to Chipotle ... big mistake. I ordered my bowl through the Chipotle app and I got there at the time of scheduled pick-up and they were running 50 minutes behind 😳!!!! I couldn't cancel my order, you need to call a number to do that, so I was stuck waiting. They didn't even offer the people waiting a drink. I ate about 1/2 the bowl and threw it away.😡

Back to work, have a great day!

Snowysmom, so thankful extra to God you found a new friend. And how blessed the new friend is to know you! Wo many prayers new friends and activities help bring you joy, fun, and peace!

Lynn, prayers for Don's appointment. Blessing the doctor is trusted by your own cardiologist! I am, of course, sorry you both have been through the doctor wringer :(

Foorballmouse, May your next food ordering experience certainly be a ton more positive, my friend. I'm sorry.

Cool morning here. We never did get any mail yesterday. Maybe double mail later? informed delivery at the moment, it's not yet 9am here, shows "unknown delivery date," for everything that was out for delivery yesterday so who knows. I'll check again after 9. We are expecting two Amazon packages and my phone by FedEx from Walmart today. at least those aren't mail dependent.

Grace of God, I slept well last night. Doing an extra later evening epsom salt soak really helped, too. I wish I could do that all day! Right now, feet aren't too happy. I'll elevate shortly. Wishing all of you a great day with a hug.

Almost afternoon here and almost 3pm for most of you, wave hi and thread save. Dad thank God is now safely home. He was grateful to have gotten his :car:washed at last.

🛍️wise his trip didn't go very well. We had ordered from Dollar Tree.com, because no stores have them, feather dusters. Dad went to pick up our package at the store, free site to store shipping, he discovered what was sent was cans of dusting stuff. Not at all what we wanted. He will be calling Dollar Tree.com this afternoon. A couple other places didn't have what he went in for either. He did get one tube of epsom salt gel at Dollar Tree. For $1.25 we will try it. My poor feet have sure hurt all day :(

Dad did go to Roadrunner Sports. He said they were very thorough and professional. His Skechers were more comfortable especially given his calluses. He did get good recommendations. He will be seeing his primary within 2 weeks and will be asking his doctor for help. Meantime his Easy Spirit shoes are expected from Amazon today.

Extra hug to all with love.

Beautiful outside, 72 and sunny. Don's appointment went very well. We both really liked the new Doctor. She was much younger than I expected and very thorough. She's going to take a couple of days to go over all of his meds and see if she can see a logical reason for the other Dr to have raised them all up so high.
Stopped at the battery place, and after giving me a line that the Ford dealer is always sending them people saying there's an issue when there isn't, ours actually checked weak. They replaced it, and a pleasant surprise was finding out there was no charge at all. After next month it will be pro rated for the next 3 years, but it saved me $149 today!

:grouphug:Dear Lynn and absolutely extra thanks to God! I am so grateful to hear about the new doctor. Many prayers indeed. :car:Great news, too! YAY!

Don't ever buy a smartphone from Walmart online! My new 📱did come this afternoon. One BIG problem is that Walmart did not scan the phone! Verizon as a result is not able to activate it. Dad now, I feel so badly, has to drive an hour tomorrow to our closest Burbank Walmart to return the phone! Dad and I agree that we would now only want to purchase a phone at a physical store. This way we know it is new or as new as it can be anyway. We remember how other past phones that claimed to be new when they came via an online order weren't at all new! My old phone is useless because once again this morning when a friend called it didn't allow me to answer the call. Voicemail is still screwed up as is the camera. That phone has to go asap. Definitely all of you with good working phones be extra grateful :)

Foot wise, my poor feet, haven't been at all happy today save when they were being soaked in the Epsom salt earlier. We'll do that again later. I haven't yet tried the gel. I absolutely pray to give thanks always no matter what. As I have said, as a human, being in foot pain sure is literally no fun at all!

Different note, I found out what happened to our mail yesterday and perhaps so far today, too because we have yet to get today's mail. All of our packages and mail yesterday along with that of the other 9 tenants in this building were at the wrong facility! The mail carrier yesterday delivering them was NOT in our area at all. The 800# for the post office said should we not receive everything tomorrow to call on Friday with all the tracking numbers and other information. Dad, meanwhile, is also waiting for Amazon to deliver his new sneakers and our new thermos. I extra hope each of you got some happy mail today!

All of our packages and mail have come :)

Much love and Good evening :)

Happy Friday Eve!:cool1:

First one of the day, Snowysmom must still be sleeping!

Went down to a little clothing boutique last night. They were hosting a make-up party 💄. I bought a shirt but after my make-up consultation, opted to look over what she recommended before buying it. I know it's going to be expensive but I like the make-up. Ran into a friend while I was there and we had fun talking and of course cracking each other up.🤣

Got back home and watched Survivor. Surprised by who was voted out but I liked the move :thumbsup2. Didn't stay awake for The Amazing Race so I'll catch that tonight.

Leaving work a little early today. I got on a P&G sniff test for later this afternoon. I've done these before where I just go from room to room at the facility and smell a towel and answer questions. They might be testing a new scent for detergent or air freshner. It's an easy $95 so I'll go sniff some towels.💵

Making a trip to Kroger tomorrow, the Halloween candy is on sale this weekend.🎃

That's it for me, trying to finish my breakfast before everyone starts coming in to the office 🍳. Have a great day!

Good Morning :grouphug:

Indeed, a quiet thread so far today. Prayers all of you did enjoy a good night's rest, I did. Dad likes his new Easy Spirit shoes. He will wear them today. Dad isn't too happy about the Dodgers. Next year ⚾May all of your teams do better! :)

I shall check in a little later. Have a great day dear friends.

Good afternoon. I was on the road at 5:10 am today to get into the office. I have to do that to beat rush hour and even then, one of the roads was busier than usual. I get to my office around 6 and get coffee first as that is the most important thing! Then I wese into the day. I am back at the condo now and heading to Kenny's in a bit. I am meeting the kids at the school bus. Then I am having dinner with them.

Have a good rest of the day.

I'm here too, just not much going on today to write about. I've been catching up laundry and I had DS get my Halloween bin out of the attic, so I'll probably put up some decorations tomorrow morning.

I did "walk" the cats for quite a long time as well (taking advantage of the dry day) and I watched the second episode of Sullivan's Crossing. - Anyone else watching that one?

Got back home and watched Survivor. Surprised by who was voted out but I liked the move :thumbsup2.
I thought she might be going soon. A couple of episodes there was talk about her going. I liked her though, in fact I liked all four of them. Has anyone noticed how banged up some of the competitors knees and arms are this year?

Sounds interesting, where do you watch it?

I'm doing much better today, no fever. I can begin getting out tomorrow, have some errands to run and a quick stop at Kroger. I'll be wearing a mask though. My doctor recommended me wearing one if I get out for the next five days after having no fever.

I spent hours (literally) booking flights for my girls for our March (Easter) Disney trip.

Both girls were busy working and I've been telling them to figure out which day to fly in. I tend to like to plan early but I often change things up if I feel like it. I'll be driving and grands will ride with me as they will be off school all week until the following Tuesday.

Southwest sent out an email that their 'sale' was ending today. I took a look at one way flights going from this area to MCO. Found a late nonstop on Monday evening for $104. Booked it for DD who lives with me and texted older DD that it was available. At the moment the next cheapest that I remember was $165.

Before booking for younger DD, I semi remembered that I had a Southwest Gift Card from many years ago. Looked in my (old) book where I record information like that and found 3 cards. Two of them had money which equaled $188 and change. I was thinking maybe $20 or so.

Meanwhile older DD was busy so couldn't talk to her so I texted I had some leftover money if she wanted to use it. Texted me back and asked me to book for her, which I did. Now I feel like I got both flights for $19.

In a way I did because the original gift cards were freebies from doing something that I don't even remember. I do remember trying to give them away one time to one of my kids and I did give one to my ex husband.

Anyway I don't fly anymore willingly but will if I have to for an emergency. It's all part of that anxiety thing, bridges, heights and anything else that will spring up.

Older DD is on her own booking her return flights. Younger DD says she will ride back with me. The grands are flying back so they can get to school the next day.

Not sure yet where I'll stay over on my drive down or back. Those are fairly easy as there are any number of spots to choose. But, now that I've got my 2 DD's arriving late, I'm booking the Hyatt at the airport. That way the DD's can get off the plane and walk to our rooms. Then, after breakfast we will check out and ride over to Grand Floridian Villas for 3 nights. During this time we will take the grands to Magic Kingdom and wherever else we want to go.

End of the week we will move over to Animal Kingdom Lodge. The plan is to relax and either enjoy the pools or use up some of my water park tickets. We want to focus more on the kids having some park time early in our trip, but it doesn't have to be 10 hour days. They will be 7 and 8 and can enjoy maybe 3 park days, or however many DD wants to use up. We all have some older tickets but the girls will need some extra days. Counting arrival we will be in Orlando area for 7 nights.

Anyway, still planning and changing up stuff! I think I want to try for an Easter Sunday family dinner, maybe at Boma or Jiko. Still early, but nice to have sort of an idea of what we (I) want.
