Good morning! It is a beautiful, crisp fall day here! Currently 55 degrees out and bright and sunny. DD got her degree in the mail and we took some nice pictures of her with it outside. She looks so happy - and relieved! :goodvibes She has a date this afternoon with this fella she’s been seeing, they’re taking the dogs out walking with them this time, lol. (Grady will sit this one out but Toto will have a good time.) DS is taking a big step today and his spirits seem high, too. Thank you for your good thoughts and prayers for him, I know they helped. He is a really good guy and is very good at what he does. I told him I’d go running with him tonight :faint: if he takes me up on it, but he might just do the treadmill or go on his own. Just trying to show support. 😅🙏 (He has a physical test to pass.) This is their bday week so we love this time of year. My niece is going in for induction this weekend, too, so we’ll have another fall baby in the family. She loved the gifts we sent her, she sent a nice thank you note already. I’ve had my coffee and DH brought me home a muffin (corn w blueberry jam; preferred a blueberry muffin, but they were out) after he and DS took the dogs for their weekend ride. I am going to continue working on my clothes today. So far have gone through my pajamas, lol. Digging deep in the drawers I found ones I forgot I had. I also have to round up the new ones now and make some decisions about what to keep. And so on with the rest of my clothes… I also have to start to pack for our upcoming graduation trip. Going to try to do that without Toto seeing the suitcases, he gets upset.

I hope everyone has a nice Saturday! 🐣 Thinking of you all. :grouphug:

We are somewhere between the Chesapeake bay and Bayonne NJ, and it’s raining here in the Atlantic! However, our seas have been calm, and it’s been a wonderful cruise! This morning’s seas:

IMG_5017.jpeg

We have been on a lot of cruises, and most have been on smaller ships. This is our second time on the Oasis, and there are 6000+ passengers. The terminal was crowded, the elevators are packed sometimes, but all in all, it’s been a good cruise.

The DCL Wish is definitely smaller than this, and I was totally blown away by the art and special touches like the mural of Tiana in our stateroom.

IMG_2488.jpeg

As we are getting older, i find myself less interested in ship activities, and we spend more time on our balcony, reading, just being together.

The ice show on this ship was excellent! The food, only moderately good, IMO. We are Diamond on RCCL, and they have a much better loyalty program when compared to DCL. Yet, I always say I smile a lot more on DCL. The crew on this ship has been excellent. We’ve never had a better stateroom attendant than this one….but many have been of the same calibre.

We pick a cruise according to specific needs. We needed to see our Ohio neighbors, it had been a year and a half since we had been together. They both have had health issues, as have we. This cruise fit the bill, and it was wonderful!

One blessing was that Ron, our neighbor, finally agreed to getting an ECV on the day before we sailed!! It wasn’t easy getting one that last minute, and I think there was a $30 surcharge for late booking, but it definitely made the trip more enjoyable!!

@Snowysmom, I know what you mean about Market Basket! I switched from there to Trucci's during the pandemic and never really looked back. (For those not in this area, it's much smaller.) Now that I'm not carefully planning trips, I also go to Roche Bros. for "in between" stops because it's the closest, but it's more expensive.

@bobbiwoz Glad you enjoy cruising. It is nice to sit on the balcony and read. So relaxing. I have been with Norwegian mainly due to the Bermuda cruise out of Boston. Chris and I did do an Alaska cruise out of Seattle on Norwegian. I want to try another Disney ship like the Fantasy sometime.

@PollyannaMom I recognize the name Truccis. I also have a Roche Brothers nearby but they are more expensive than Wegman's I believe. We had a Roche Brothers in the town Chris and I lived in but it ended up closing. I did like their meats and we always bought out Christmas roast at Roche brothers.

Good Morning. Cold again, around 44 with temps going up to around 60. Kenny got back safely. He called me on the way home. He said the last 5 miles were brutal as he could hardly walk. He hiked 23 miles yesterday. He is trying to do all the 4,000 footers in the White Mts. He got 3 out of the way yesterday. He asked me if I wanted to go shopping for kids' clothes today so of course I said yes. I do like looking at kids' clothing. I may look for some for all the grandkids for Christmas. His GF will be back this afternoon so I am happy to have some time with him this morning. Jeff and family are busy all weekend. I will do some work, walk, and just try to find stuff to do. I am thinking of making pasta fagioli soup. I will have at least 3 meals out of it.

Have a good Sunday.

Good morning. The rain finally stopped, but it poured all day yesterday. I'm going to close up the ac today. It's only going to be 50's and 60's all day. It will be nice enough to open windows if it warms up more than that. I called Dave last night to let him know they were planning on cutting down the tree next weekend so he would have some advance notice. He told me one of his sisters died. She was only 54 and they found her on the floor by her bed. They don't know what happened, and they waited too long to do an autopsy, so they can't have an open casket service. He was pretty upset. This year, between friends and family he's lost 27 people. That's a lot to deal with

Today is football day, so I'm on my own. My favorite day of the week, lol. Trying to figure out what to make for dinner. Maybe home made clam chowder or meatball subs. I want something easy.

@Snowysmom --Kenny is very ambitious to be trying to climb all those footers.

@PollyannaMom I've seen both of those in Newport, they are just gorgeous. I can't even picture trying to live in that kind of elegance!

Have a great day everyone!

:wave:Good Morning everyone, Grace of God I did sleep easier last night. My feet really only hurt when I got up during the night which they always do after being in bed :( It was a blessing to get more rest. I will be doing shortly the epsom salt soak so that will help. I am looking forward to watching online worship as always. Wishing each of you a cozy and happy Sunday with joy. I will check back later.

Good afternoon (almost afternoon here) thread save! I like this image because while perhaps a bit over the top it's Christmasy and Valentines-y too--cheerful like each of dear you! :) I did enjoy online worship earlier. As always, a great message. Dad, thanks to God, is safely home from morning shopping. Feet were soaked once. Will do another this afternoon. Trying my best always to be faithful and positive and beyond all else give Him thanksgiving! I absolutely rejoice that all, even me, will be used, is being used for His good. Of course, I wish for healthy normal feet again, too! Absolutely, always, dear, dear friends, please take care of your feet! :grouphug:to all.

Dad and I are very pleased with our new green Thermos It's lightweight and keeps water cold :)

Good morning. The cool mornings are here to stay I guess. It should be in the mid 50s today with some scattered showers. Yesterday was a quiet day. I did go shopping with Kenny and he got some clothes for the kids. They are growing so fast. I got a pair of pants at Old Navy. I can't find any jeans I like that have deep pockets so I have found some other casual pants instead. I made the pasta fagioli soup so I will have that for a couple more nights.

Have a good day.

Good Monday morning.🍂

Cooler temps have arrived. I actually closed the living room windows last night, kept the bedroom windows opened though.

Watched the new Haunted Mansion Friday night and the original version Saturday night. I think I liked the new version better. They had both the DL and WDW mansions in the new version so I knew all the references when they were in the WDW version.

Evan, Bailey, and Mia came over yesterday to watch the Bengals game (we won 👏) and we cooked out on my new grill. Evan was looking at my old grill and asked what was wrong with it, I told him it wouldn't light anymore and we had to light it with a lighter from the back. He took the ignitor button off the front and pulled out a AA battery and said "maybe you just need a new battery". Are you kidding me!!!! All it needed was a new battery and I bought a new grill! Ugh, I'm never listening to Jacob and Mitchell again.😠

Back to work, going to try to get a walk in this morning 🚶‍♀️. Have a great day!

Good morning. Cool, but sunny today, temps mid 50's

@footballmouse Your post had me LOL I never knew that a grill could have batteries in it. That wouldn't have been something I would have thought of. I would have been using a lighter from the back too. That was an issue with my old grill, and why I replaced it, didn't feel safe lighting it that way. Now you can have a giant cookout and use both grills, lol

Puttered around yesterday, didn't do much of anything. Made home made New England clam chowder for dinner. Hit the spot on a cool day.

Calling for rain Fri and Sat which means tree cutting will get pushed back another week. :(

Have a great Monday everyone!

Just a quick hello. I am in the midst of a big clothing “mess” and want to keep going.

I am enjoying this fall weather. I love throwing on a sweatshirt and not sweating, lol.

Gorgeous pictures, PollyannaMom! Your photographs are really well composed! :goodvibes

Mona, sorry your feet are still causing you pain. Sending you a PM.

Snowysmom, sounds like things are going pretty well in the new place. I’m glad. I know it will take a while to settle in.

Toto had a nice time on the “date” and got along well with new fella‘s dog. He was exhausted afterward! DD thought she was prepared with the supplies she brought (that I had her bring in a little bag, lol), but the fella was totally prepared with a backpack full of supplies including water, treats and poop bags! :lmao: I told her he’d probably be good caring for kids! But she is learning she may have to step up her game.

DS ran yesterday. He was surprised with all the baseball and golf he plays that he was a little winded, but he’s keeping at it. He’s flying this morning and he’ll run when he gets back, before his work shift this afternoon. Thank you for good thoughts for him. 🙏 Still making decisions.

Thinking of everyone. Enjoy your Monday! 🐥

Good Morning. I PMed you back dear Pea :)

Dad is currently off to Walmart where he hopes to get me a cell phone. Yes, I think we should have tried again to order it. I will be looking into foot options this morning. Dad this afternoon, I will ask him to call his primary for any recommendations. Have a good day everyone :) P.S. Happy 📱update! Dad got the phone we wanted and is on his way home :)

Goof afternoon hugs and slipping thread save! New phone is charging up. Dad, of course, was my first contact in it. I'll do others when it's fully charged. Dad was thankful that the electronics lady Rosa was Walmart was so sweet this morning. She felt awful about his previous experience and confirmed that also sadly Walmart employees usually don't answer the store phone. Dad and I had been trying for 4 days to call a few different Walmart's to find out whether they had the phone. That never worked at all. We absolutely will never buy a new phone from Walmart online again! So far, new phone seems like a winner. We're both very grateful I have one again.

Wishing each of you a good afternoon with love :)
