@tazdev3225 , how frustrating to win tickets and not be able to use them. I do hope you find a doctor who will help you to determine what needs to be done to your knee. What happened to me when I didn’t know what to do, or how to get help, in frustration, I called the Ohio State medical system, we lived in Ohio, and I explained to receptionist that I didn’t know what I needed, explained the problem, and she gave me an appointment with Sports Medicine. It began my road to wellness. Eventually I had two knees replaced and I was good to go. Whatever my problems are now, with walking, nerves, balance etc. I always smile and say that my knees are just fine! The operation was 8 years ago.

and a whole lot of extra prayers, dear Taz! That is ridiculous that you are not able to see a doctor unless you are 100% positive you need surgery! I never heard of that. God will lead you where you need to go, you know that!

Dad and I are long, thank God, safely home. We were both very much done in! Too much and way too long a drive. We agreed never again. Good to know. No slippers or sneakers. I did find some possibilities on Amazon. At the moment, I'm wearing my winter booties just so my feet have some support. I do know that's not exactly healthy in the heat either! Dad's feet, prayers extra for him would be appreciated, are still swollen a bit from his poor shoes and possibly the heat, too. He needs to wait until that goes down before truly being able to We did get a few things at Dollar Tree. Next time, we'll definitely go to Burlington. Eventually, we will go to a ginormous Skechers in Gardena--Far from us, too (just as far as today, a good 45-1 hour) It is the biggest Skechers Outlet in LA. Positive about them is that they have their own small parking lot. The Citadel location, where we always did find shoes, (we actually never got anything at the Gardena location) would be ideal other than the Citadel parking lot is humongous! There is no close space by Skechers. Dad could drop me off closer but then he has to walk. Plus trying to find our after is never any fun there. All considerations! Always, a blessing to have options

Hey everyone, hope that everyone is doing well. I haven't been keeping up with what has been going on since my last post. Thought I would step in and let you know the latest on Carol and the kids.

I want to be brief. Carol's emergency hearing was scheduled for last Wednesday afternoon. Carol kept custody of the kids. Joe has been accused of physically abusing Lil Joe which is a crock, he would rather cut off his arm than hurt either one. He has never raised a fist to me or James and Carol.

Carol and kids have to move out of our house. Joe, through his connections, found a lovely home for her to rent in the same neighborhood as the school she will be teaching at this coming school year. Joe and I are not allowed to be around the kids period, we do not exist. We may not have any contact with them at all. Her ex brought the kids back last Thursday. We left our home on Thursday so the kids could come back to their home where everything was familiar than to a hotel. We have decided that instead of Carol and the kids finding another church, that we will just attend church elsewhere on the weekends when they are with Carol so that they don't lose the love and support of their church family. Fortunately, other family and friends can see the kids, just not the two of us. The kids have been asking where we are and Carol tells them that we are on a trip which suffices for now. We're got back today. We are heart broken and pray that the truth will be made known

I just ordered both socks and slippers on to try. Realized that a big part of my own current trouble (I have been so blessed as I shared earlier to never before now have had foot trouble) is that like my poor dad, due to the heat+more so (because this never happened ever to me before over the summer) awful socks and no shoes around the house, my own feet are not only hurting but a bit swollen as well. appreciated!

A friend spend the night because we went to see Peter Noone last night, and it was a great show. I really enjoy doing puzzles, and with Faye and Tom’s help we did this 500 puzzle in the two days. If anyone wants the puzzle, just message me!

@Kirby I am so sorry and so sad for you. Is there going to be a further investigation to prove he is lying? I truly hope and pray that he is found out and things can go back to the way they were. Does he even care how this is affecting the kids?

@flyingdumbo127 Walking on hard floors is so tough on the feet. Kenny has hardwood floors and if I am barefoot my feet can hurt. I found some light slipper socks with rubber grips on Old Navy and wear those when I don't want to wear shoes which is most of the time.

Good morning. It is supposed to be another nice day. Yesterday was so nice after the really hot weather. Today it will bein the 70s. The kids have T ball tonight. My older DGS does not like to play so he comes and goes from the field. The younger one will get bored and leave the field too. Kenny is a coach so he cannot go after them. I can see behavioral issues in them due to the divorce. Now that their mother has moved 35 minutes away from the only town they have known, I see more issues. She decided herself without mediation. And she is putting the kids in the schools there. There is a court date coming up in which DS wants to have them stay in school in this town and he has them during the week. I believe the ex overstepped in just moving without mediation. Unfortunately she is looking out for her and not the best interest of the kids. She commuted 35 minutes to a part time job so there is no reason why she can't commute 35 minutes for a full time job. Divorce is hard enough on the kids. It is the parents job to make it as easy as they can.

Off to work. No one did my work while I was out so I am crazy busy.

Pleasant weather here today. 60's when I woke up only going to low 80's with low humidity. I can deal with that.

@Kirby - I read your post last night and wanted to cry. I can't believe someone would make such accusations to hurt you, but worse than that to hurt his own children. I know the pain of a grandchild being withheld from you and it is a pain beyond words. I am sure this was done for the moment so they can investigate the allegations. The courts are mandated to protect the children when a question of abuse has been raised. They have no way of knowing the real truth. Sadly in this situation there are no winners, because the kids are confused and you are all hurt and upset. I cannot understand why anyone would use their children as weapons, and that is what the ex does, repeatedly. The truth will win and you will be vindicated. Until then know that there is one set of Footprints in the Sand, He has you and will be your strength. I will pray for a quick resolution.

Not much else going on here today. Jim sees the foot doctor and then I need to get the paperwork down to the place that makes his shoes to get that started. Bad wife that I am I lost the referral from his last visit. Getting ready for the Disney trip I think I threw it out. Not a problem as his foot doctor is wonderful and will just print a new one. Then the real fight begins. I am not allowing them to cast his feet for molds until all the paperwork is in their hands. That is the real fight. Maybe by Christmas he will have the shoes.

Good morning. A cool start at 55, felt so nice. I took all the trash down to the street while it was so pleasant. I have been cleaning in the basement again. Every time I think I have everything thrown out, I get in a cleaning fit and more goes out. I filled 2 contractor bags and 2 boxes with stuff, plus a box to go to Goodwill tomorrow. Don will never fit in the clothes he wore when I met him, but he insisted I keep them in totes. Well I just emptied 6 of them, lol.

@Kirby, that is so terrible. Prayers said that things get investigated and cleared and you can see your grandchildren again.

@Snowysmom- prayers for Kenny and the whole situation with the ex moving and taking the kids to a new school. I'm sure the courts are going to have something to say about that.

@tazdev3225 I don't blame you about Jim's shoes. I remember what you've gone through the last couple of times trying to get that all taken care of. Sending you luck and prayers they get it right this time.
Off to make my grocery list, and clean some kitty nose prints out of the windows, again. Because the windows are closed with the ac on, they tend to sit in them with their noses pressed to the glass, lol

Just dropping in to say that Carol has made an appointment for the kids to begin seeing a forensic psychologist next week and is looking for an evaluator also. I don't know how long this process will take but it's the next step to fight all this injustice.

My utmost prayers forever that all children (of all ages) especially God's precious youngest kiddos, only know unconditional love and support, belief in them and genuine safety always. No matter how any adults may feel about each other, children are forever who need to come first! Prayers absolutely extra for both Kirby and Snowysmom's grandkids as well as the hearts of Exes involved to choose kinder intentions for their children. Amen Taz! I love Footprints in the Sand. I did order socks and slippers on Amazon last night that should be here by Friday. Tomorrow, I will be going out to a few stores. I can't keep injuring my poor feet every day or wearing these HOT slippers! I also am aware of that menopause could be at play here, too. Although, as I said, this trouble for me only started a week ago when I ditched slippers that were shedding/falling apart! I absolutely pray once I have both well fitting, comfortable socks that are loose and slippers that are summer appropriate to be well in foot again. Dad prayers so appreciated, too. He really needs feet help

Quiet afternoon here. Dad, thanks to God, safely long home. We are planning to go to Burlington tomorrow. Dad will go to Walmart quickly while I go to target (same big shopping center). I feel more comfortable in Target generally because there is more room. The one time I was at Burbank Walmart, was crazy and definitely not for me at all! this way, we save time Burlington (has its own small parking lot not far away) doesn't open until 9 so we will do the other stores first. My new are out for delivery from Amazon. I sure am keeping in prayer that they work out and that Burlington in store has both socks, slippers, and other clothes for us both! Burlington when I this morning said they did have a lot of open toe women's lighter slippers so that sounded promising indeed Meantime, my poor left especially is not happy from these uneven floors and so long of not wearing slippers. I'm wearing the HOT bootie slippers right now which I know isn't healthy either for my feet. Tomorrow, God willing that will change

I'm going for a walk with my neighbor this morning, then meeting my cousin and her little girls for a show at the library, after which they'll come back here for a swim. Busy but fun day
