Good morning and welcome to an outside steam bath. 9 in the morning and it's already hot out there. I went to feed the outside cats and make sure they had extra water, and got hit in the face with the humidity. We had a storm last night around dinner time, that dropped the temp to 84, but it stayed in the upper 70's all night. Planning on staying inside and cleaning in the cellar.
When I was at the grocery store yesterday, I was at the U Scan, and someone came up behind me and put their arm around me. I freaked out, then I heard Dave saying 'they'll let anyone shop in here'. Geez. I had been trying to get hold of him all week. For some reason the new lock and deadbolt on the new back door, wouldn't lock. It was hitting the strike plate instead of going in. He has to come and lower the strike plates a touch. No idea why all of a sudden, since it's been fine since he put them in. He wasn't answering his phone and no voice mail. He said he took his granddaughter to see the Barbie movie on Saturday and never thought to turn his phone back on. He wondered why it hadn't rung in days, lol. He's going to come either today or tomorrow and fix the locks, and do the downstairs bath plumbing for the new faucets and shower and put the new vanity and faucets in. It's too hot for him to be working outside on roofs, that's for sure.
SIL is doing okay. They already had her up and sitting in a chair yesterday. They said she needs in patient rehab, in the hospital if they have a bed, if not, a nursing home for at least 2 weeks, maybe a month. Summer and her husband are over there today at the house, trying to clear stuff out so she will be able to get around when she gets home. Her and my niece have let the house go since her husband died, and stuff is falling apart. They need to replace the bathroom floor, put in a new toilet, fix a sagging spot in the kitchen floor, clean out so much junk it's unbelievable.
Well Dave just called and he's on his way. So much for cleaning down there today, will get the plumbing and vanity in instead!
Have a nice day, stay cool
