We just went through a tornado warning in my area!! The alert popped up around half an hour ago and just expired at 9:00. No actual hits that I know of.

There is still some thunder and lightning, and one of the cats is cuddled up pretty close, but the other seems unfazed.

How are things where you are, @Pea-n-Me?

Extra love and prayers to you dear PollyannaMom and Pea, too. All of you East Coasters who may be impacted. PLEASE stay safe and take care!:grouphug:🐣💕

I have shared this before, but it is so cute, that it bears repeating🧸Sweet dreams everyone with love.

@PollyannaMom Glad nothing happened. We had a flood watch but I did not see a tornado warning.

Good morning. Sunny outside with temps in a better range today, 70s. the humidity is supposed to be much lower. We are heading to Davis Farmland. I should stay at Kenny's and work and do some cleaning but I said I would go so I will. The kids enjoy it there.

Have a good Sunday.

Good morning

@Pea-n-Me Glad your BIL is doing better
@PollyannaMom Glad you didn't get a tornado

It's beautiful and sunny out. Humidity is gone and it's only going to be low 80's today
We never got the expected storms last night, but I had a flood of a different kind. I had colored my hair earlier, and decided to try the new shower since it now worked, rather than get hair color in the new upstairs tub. I took a shower, and checked to make sure the faucets were off and no water. I went around to the plumbing and checked and it was dry. So then I go upstairs, and a couple of hours later, I went to rinse off some veggies to fix dinner, and the water was just trickling out of the faucet. I thought maybe the neighbor had their sprinklers going (very low water pressure around here and terrible at dinner time), but they didn't.

I opened the cellar door to go down and see if maybe the toilet down there was running. I heard the sound of water pouring out. I stepped off the stairs and into water, and the bathroom is to the left. That floor was covered with water. I ran around to the laundry room, (the plumbing for the shower is behind the wall in there, but it's open so accessible). Water was just pouring out of one of the new pipes. I ran to the other end of the basement and turned off the main. The water wouldn't stop. The laundry room floor was flooded, water was working it's way out into the workbench area, water had come out of the bathroom, across the front of the steps, and down onto the wall to wall carpet on that side of the cellar. (Luckily there are floor drains down there everywhere). I called Dave, who I caught on his way out, and he came over. Apparently the glue on one of the pipes had let go, fluke accident. The elbow loosened and the pipe slid out. He had grabbed his plumbing box, so he dried everything off and reglued it 3x, just to make sure. Then he reglued around all the edges of the other pipes. We got the wet dry vac and got as much as we could up. But I had soaking wet rugs, towels, a laundry basket of clothes waiting to go in the washer was soaked through. It was a mess. We put a fan on the pipes and he stayed for 30 min to make sure that it was dry before turning the water on. By the time he left it was 7:30 and we hadn't had dinner. I fixed something quick for Don, but I had such a headache that I wasn't even hungry. I was in bed by 9:30.

2 more loads of towels to go.
That was my exciting everning, not, lol

Going to get out to the garden and enjoy the change in the weather for awhile.
Have a great day.

Happy Sunday everyone!

Snowysmom, Davis Farmland looks like such fun. I Googled. Love the "Rocking Cows!" So cute🐮

PollyannaMom, 🌪️and any other storm be gone today, too, for sure! I'm so glad you are okay, my friend!

Lynn:grouphug:prayers you have a much quieter and peaceful Sunday!

Looking forward to online worship this morning. The sermon will be on the Parable of the Mustard Seed which is always a great reminder that all God asks of us is faith as tiny as big as a mustard seed! He is forever with all of you dear friends and by His Grace, I so care, too, you know that.

I will check back in later :)

Good afternoon slipping thread save!

Dad went to Sprouts on his way home from Pavilions this morning. Guess what they had? My very favorite Sprouts Brand Original Applesauce in the glass jar! What a surprise blessing. Needless to say, he stocked up! 🍎:cheer2:

I did enjoy the book version of the Hallmark movie Picture a Perfect Christmas. The book is called A Family Under the Christmas Tree by Terri Reed. Dad and I will watch some Price is Right later. I enjoyed today's online worship service. Wonderful message that Jesus chose a mustard seed to grow rather than a larger tree as an illustration that He loves us all always! Also, that when we allow Him to, He absolutely grows each of us according to His perfect Plan.

Love to all and keep cool!

@lynxstch What a mess! Glad you caught Dave before he went out so he come over to take care of the issue.

@flyingdumbo127 So nice that your apple sauce is back.

Davis Farmland is cute. There are little playhouses, feed the animals, bouncy houses, a small waterpark, and a playground. They make each family wear wristbands with the same number on them. When you leave they check the numbers to be sure the numbers match and everyone is with the right family. And anyone over 12 must be accompanied by a child under 12. No alone adults allowed. I totally understand the safety issue.

Have a good night.

:hug:Snowysmom, what a wonderful update! Extra praises to God! I'm so thankful you went! Thank you on the applesauce :)

Such a quiet thread today. Prayers that means all of you have been taking extra care!

Glad to hear the applesauce is back and the kiddos had fun. 🙂

I was busy with errands and flea market stuff today, but it was lovely to have the good weather back! I had the windows open all morning, and enjoyed the sunshine while I was out shopping.

Glad I fixed dinner in the crock pot, though, because that means I didn't have to think at the end of the day!

:cheer2:for good weather, PollyannaMom especially after yesterday! Glad to hear you also had a nice Sunday, yay :) Thank you, too, on the applesauce, it will be an extra treat to enjoy tomorrow.

Dad, I decided to go to a Skecher's Outlet tomorrow rather than Burlington. We both need new 👟+ we have a $15 store reward!

Would any of you be up for adding a paragraph (example) onto a few sentences for a share a friend once wrote for the book? She never got back to me regarding sharing anything additional. PM me anyone who might be interested :thanks:very much!

Here's a new (I think) cute puppy sweet dreams wish for all of dear you with love always.

Good morning, all 🌞

Another nice one, weather-wise. - I can't believe what a teeter-totter this summer has been! I'll be heading over to meet with the lodge ladies this morning and see what donations came in over the weekend (and hopefully finalize the volunteer time slots for the event this weekend coming up). Then I might stop by MIL's for a "puppy fix" before I come home.

Good morning. Like PollyannMom, we have another beautiful day on tap. Apparently we had some showers overnight, the deck is wet, but everything looks clean and bright this morning. Temps in low 80's again, I could get used to this. It's really been a weird weather last couple of months.

Hard to believe that it's the last day of July, already.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Can I join you for :dogdance:time, PollyannaMom? Have fun and enjoy visiting your MIL, too. I love your cute and cheerful morning picture, thank you for sharing :)

Lynn, :cheer2:that the weather by you is also nice. Dad said just last night that July sure sped by fast. It did! You please enjoy this summery Monday, too :)

Dad and I will shortly be going to a Dollar Tree and Skechers. We have hard laminate flooring in this apartment that replaced ancient (as in at least the entire 20 years dad had been living here at that time, probably years longer) carpeting in 2014. Dad since then has had various 🦶trouble :( Over the last week, not wearing any type of slippers, I have begun to see why for myself :( This floor is very hard as I said. It's also uneven in places. I am blessed to have healthy, thin feet that don't normally cause me any issues whatsoever. During cold weather, as I have shared, I have the most wonderfully soft and cozy bootie slippers! I don't currently have any around the house Summertime slippers and my poor feet are not happy. I seem to be walking harder on one side which, of course, puts more pressure on that foot. I am definitely keeping in prayer that we both find new shoes today! Dad desperately also needs (he needs slippers, too) sneakers! 👟

LOL, I feel like a young child in a way. I feel best early in the morning. That's when I truly feel brightest and have the most energy. I absolutely, as all of you know, cherish being at home. I am a homebody! When I do need to go out, I prefer going out asap and coming home! I have never been someone to dwindle or stall in getting ready to go. Dad has always been, so was my late grandma. Absolutely to each their own for sure. Just right now, since we are also in summer and in a pandemic, I do think early is best! I hope we get going soon :) :car:

Safe and cool travels to all today. Prayers each of you will also enjoy a happy last day of July, too! I would appreciate extra prayers that we have a safe and healthy trip. God willing, I will check back later 🌸maybe even with shoe :tigger:

Good afternoon

I need to catch up one day, but I have been a bit busy. The weather here is in the low 80's and low humidity so I planned on hanging out at the swim club but of course that didn't happen. My knee was really bothering me last night so I got very little sleep. Every time I moved a certain way the pain jolted me awake. I know I need to see an ortho dr. but I called the 2 my daughter recommended and since I don't KNOW I need a knee replacement they won't see me. I really hate the group anyway. They are buying up all the little practices and don't have the greatest reputation. They want surgery and expensive replacements, or assembly line surgery. I really miss the doctor I saw but he retired.

Crystal is doing a little better although yesterday she really felt the effects of the accident. Her neck has some bruising, but her left chest took the brunt of the seatbelt. She isn't worried about being able to start work this week though. Now we are trying to figure out her schedule so we can see the 100 Years of Disney exhibition before it closes at the end of august. I also need to fit in a trip to Sight and Sound to see Moses. I won 2 tickets but between my schedule and my moms schedule we haven't had time. The summer is getting away from me again.

@Snowysmom - Hope you get the condo straightened out soon. It must be frustrating

@Pea-n-Me - Hope your BIL is ok

Hope you all are having a good day.
