Happy Monday!

Worked night shift Friday & Saturday so nothing fun to report. Mia was over on Friday but it wasn't hot enough to swim. She must be growing, she took 3 naps (of course while I held her ). I invited Jacob and Mitchell over for Sunday since they don't speak to their dad, I try to have them over or do something to keep their mind off of it being Father's Day. Only Jacob and Livia came over so we went to a very casual bar and hung out there for a few hours.

Today is a holiday at work for me so I'm glad to finally have a day off . Had plans to work in the yard but rain is expected all day and week. It looks like it's going to start any minute . I should run out and pull some weeds before it does actually start raining. First I need to finish my breakfast.

I guess I'll just get my meal prepping done for the week. For dinner tonight, Mitchell and I had made plans to try out an Indian restaurant and Jacob & Livia invited themselves to tag along. I've only had Indian food once, they've never had it. I've been telling Mitchell that I think he would like what I ordered so he finally got the nerve up and wants to go. I hope they like it.

Good Monday morning all. Bright sunshine again, no rain until maybe tomorrow night. Temps near 90 today. I won't be doing any yard work in those temps, might mow after dinner tonight.

Summer came over with Lily and Lily's boyfriend, and both Luke and Ben called from Ocean City, so Don had a good day. Summer was telling us that in addition to all of her other problems, now her doctor is telling her that all the signs he's seeing says she has Lupus on top of everything else. It just never ends.

Off to do laundry, and find something else to do while it's still coolish outside.

Checking in but really nothing going on. Did some housework today, painted my nails, and finished Firefly Lane on Netflix.

Yesterday was fun. We went to a birthday party for my cousin's little girl (who is turning four this week) then over to my in-laws to give FIL his present.

It was sunny all day, now it's clouding over and they say we could get some showers. I mowed the lawn, did the edges with the trimmer, and just put some Miracle Gro down in the garden. Finally everything is poking their heads out after the rain. The cukes, the rest of the squash and the beans are all up. I picked some of the fresh leaf lettuce and we made a salad for it for dinner. Sister in law had brought us 2 huge mushroom basket tomatoes and we had one of those in the salad too. Tasted like summer!

Good morning. It is going to be a bit warmer today, mid 70s. I am not a fan of the warmer weather. I prefer temps in the 60's and low 70s.

It was nice to see Jeff's family on Sunday. The cousins were all together and had fun. Sam is walking all over the place and wants to join his older siblings. He has a mind of his own and knows what he wants. They are going to WDW this summer with their next door neighbors who have never been. Since Aimee and Sam could not join us last year they decided to do this trip rather than wait a few years. The kids love Disney.

I am playing catch up at work even from taking off only 2 days. Sometimes I find it a bit much but know retirement is not for me right now. But some mornings it is hard to get my mind into work and I just don't feel like doing it.

Happy Tuesday!

My day off was rainy and relaxing. Sat on the couch and watched TV, then fell asleep from 11-12:30 and woke up with a very sore neck . Finally got up and moving, meal prepped my breakfast and lunch for the week. I decided to go get a pedicure before I met Jacob and Mitchell at the Indian restaurant.

It rained the entire day yesterday, not a downpour but enough that you couldn't go out and do anything.

Watched the Reds win last night, that moved them into 1st place. WooHoo!!!

finished Firefly Lane on Netflix

Did you like the show? I really enjoyed it.

Tonight's dinner and probably tomorrow night's dinner will be my left-over Indian food.

Good sunny morning. Started pouring down rain around 7 last night and rained most of the night. Calling for temps in low 70's today and tomorrow. Then chance of rain Thursday thru Sunday. I told my friend from CO she brought all their rain this way. They have had storms every day since they've been in FL. Her Aunt says it never rains that much, of course not, she brought it with her, lol

Nothing new going on here. I am cleaning all of the blinds today. One of the jobs I least like to do, but it has to be done every now and then.

I got rid of all the mini blinds in my house except for the spare bedroom, for exactly that reason - I hated cleaning them!

Our back slider actually has tiny blinds in between the two panes of glass, so they never get dirty. It's amazing!!

Good Morning from feeling like November in June, LA,

It still feels much later in the year to me than it is, probably because it's so dark in here. Definitely looking forward to Summer and brighter, longer days to come! Of course, no matter, the weather, I am thankful period for this new day

Dad will be returning to see the Costco hearing specialist this morning. He hasn't yet shared what he's decided. I think for now, he's still keeping them. all always for your continuing prayers for him and me, as well.

Snowysmomand God Bless Sam! He is sure growing right up! I do pray that he and Aimee have fun at I remember that thwy weren't able to go last year and of course I felt badly about that. Sometimes work of any kind just isn't any fun. Grateful you do have options and overall a kind work support environment. Your coworkers are sure blessed by you!

Footballmouse and PollyannaMom, too. Glad you both enjoyed watching Firefly LaneIt's name sounds so Summery and for some reason Summer camp or beach/lake to me. I hope both of you find some fun new shows to come. For the first time in forever, I enjoyed watching a Touched by an Angel episode yesterday morning that was on START TV. Reminded me of what a special show to me it was and to watch my s of it. Dad and I btw, are very happy with our new Sony DVD Player from Walmart and if any of you ever need a recommendation for a new one please let me know. I will give you the info on it.

Dad is thanks to God long safely home. All went well at Costco. He has been so very pleased with their hearing aid specialist's service. We would definitely recommend--this Costco location anyway Prayers all of you are indeed having a good Tuesday

Good morning. Sunny here and expected to be in the 70s again. Tonight we are going to a Woosox game. Kenny won the tickets in a silent auction at the kids' school. The seats are behind home plate. I doubt the kids will want to stay for the whole game which I am fine with but they will like the snacks and the stadium. I am going along as he has 4 tickets and I don't want them to go to waste. It is not my ideal evening but I can at least help with the kids.

My therapist appt went fairly well. We talked about alot of stuff and she gives me things to think about. I still have a very long way to go if I ever get there or to wherever there is. Not sure it will ever happen. My friend who is 7 years out from losing her husband is just finding it a bit easier. She has been very helpful too. I have been doing alot of thinking and not sure I should be but it is what it is.

Tonight we are going to a Woosox game

Have fun at the game! The kids will probably have a great time, they really make the minor league games fun for kids.

My Reds won their 10th game in a row last night!

Didn't do anything last night except sat outside with the dogs for a while. The little kids next door were out and they kept screaming, trying to climb the fence and sticking their arms through the fence. I sat outside just to make sure they weren't teasing my dogs. The older girl (around 6) was the instigator for everything. I told them a couple of times to get off the fence. The grandparents just moved in at the beginning of the year, this is the first time I had to say something to the grandkids, they usually ignore my dogs.

Headed to Evan's soccer game tonight . Since I'll be out, I'll get my errands done. Need to stop at Kroger and get gas, I have fuel points expiring. Then down to Meijer to grab dog food and some fruit and eggs. Chili the cat is low on lunch meat so I can't forget to get more of that for her.

Rain is predicted off and on for today and tomorrow . Don't think Mia and I will be swimming on Friday, probably won't hit the 80's. Turned my AC off the other day and opened the windows and turned on the fans. Supposed to get hot again this weekend so I'll turn it on for the dogs before I leave for work Saturday.

Good morning! It’s rainy here, and I’m quite pleased. We need the rain, and I am happy for a quiet day. The other day I made split pea soup. My sister and I enjoy it. Today I will call for appointments for chiropractor, maintenance, and for mammogram, next month. Prayers please for friend, Tina, who has mammogram today. She found small lumps again, last time, they were benign.
