Waving Good Morning with love always to each of you,

Pea, wonderful job on your bathroom! It does look great. What wonderful 🏠memories to have, my friend:hug:

Truly and always thank you PollyannaMom and your husband for honoring veteran's once more this year. I really would, as I said in the gratitude thread, love to help you with this if I lived closer. God willing one day when Covid is more settled, perhaps I can do something similar out here.

Lynn:grouphug:along with safe return home prayers for Bug🐈indeed!

Snowysmom, I do love that you talk with Chris every day and pray doing so brings you extra 🕊️and comfort, good memory. I do know it means a lot to Chris and God because really, in so doing, you are talking with Him, too in thanks and trust. Happy 📚🛍️for your grandkids. That sounds like fun :)

Dad and I are enjoying a quiet morning here. I'm so thankful he is staying home today. Extra hug to all and I will check back later.

Thank you to all who help put up flags! As a miitary spouse and military family member, it is greatly appreicated!

This weekend is pretty laid back for us; currently sitting at Starbies while DH is doing homework (gotta love the free hot cofffee/iced tea refills while you are in-store; not sure if all stores do this, so make sure and ask!) and then tomorrow, I work at my friends BBQ popup, and Monday we are grilling out with family. I have to make a pasta salad (hello simply pasta!) and some dessert; so I think I will make a copycat recipe i found for the monorail cafe in disneyland for their banana bread; i will make some in loaf form and some in muffin form; my brother and his family just moved closer to us and they are still in the 'eat out and unpack' so if i make some into muffins i can leave them with for easy on the go breakfasts!

Please thank your husband from me, Verleniahall for his service. Thank you, too. Welcome to our kind thread also! Feel free to post anytime:flower3:

Easyas and Carol, thinking of both of you extra this weekend. My thanks to you and your family members always for your service 🇺🇸All Quackers, of course, too.

:grouphug:and Good afternoon dear Quacker family,

I did post briefly in Dom's thread and wanted to reach out to those of you familiar with it, too. Please PM me this weekend to join in a surprise for Dom, our friend TeresaNJ's relative. Also, should you know of any Disboarder who may like to be included, please PM me or them directly, too.

AuntieMe3, truly thinking extra of you and praying you are okay. It's been quite a long time since you have posted. Lynn, extra hugs to you that Bug is long home now!

Always to all of you, you know this, love and prayers.

Good morning. Warm day here with temps going into the 80s. I just got back from my first walk. It was nice and quiet as there were only 2 other people out running. I could hear the birds well. I saw a dragonfly on the sidewalk. As I approached he got into the air and flew just in front of me for about 20 seconds and then flew off. I love seeing dragonflies. The other day I saw the most gorgeous blue jay at the feeder. I have not seen a blue jay at Kenny's house before, at least that I can remember. The blue was very vibrant and he was very handsome and big. He looked at me, fed a bit, and flew off into the trees. Chris loved blue jays as well as cardinals. The cardinal comes by once in a while to look around, feed a little, and fly off. I hope to be able to come by Kenny's once in a while to watch the birds once I am in the new condo.

I will be seeing Jeff and family today. I am bringing Sam's birthday gifts with me. I want him to have the toys now and wear the clothes I got him before he outgrows them. He is getting so big so quickly. Yesterday I did not know what to have for supper. I was going over my options when I got a thought about having hot dogs and beans. Growing up we had that every Saturday night. I really needed comfort food. While I was out I stopped and got some hot dogs and beans. I did really need that. It hit the spot. And I have leftovers for tonight.

I hope everyone is having a nice weekend. Have a good day.

Good morning! Posting from a hotel - had an awful sleep. Missed my fan and pillows! But having a good time nonetheless. Tournament games yesterday were great - perfect weather and nice people. DS looked strong - he closed the game and struck out the side! I was proud of him! More games today, should be fun. Rushing now to shower and head down for breakfast before it ends. Hoping Toto and Grady are doing ok in the kennel. Miss them. Lynn, I hope you found your cat! All the food sounds delicious! We went out to a restaurant last night and it was good. Brought some sandwiches to the game using leftover marinated chicken, lettuce and Caesar dressing on pita bread - but we also got some hot dogs at the stand, too, lol. There was a dog at the game off leash that sat with us. Pollyanna Mom, strong work with the flags! And thank you for going by where my parents are and sending the pic - it meant a lot (still teary, but in a good way, thinking about it). Mona, so glad you’re finished with your project. Thanks for the compliments on the bathroom!

I hope everyone has a beautiful Sunday! 🐥

Good morning. Another beautiful day, chance of rain tomorrow. Still no missing Bug :( I got so much done yesterday. Kitchen is all back in order. Washed curtains, blinds, rugs, floor, put everything back in it's place. Stripped the bed, washed the sheets, along with blankets, cat blankets, and hung them all on the line to dry. Vacuumed the rest of the house, and made dinner. Today I need to till the garden and plant the squash and cukes, and mow the lawn. I just fixed potatoes and eggs for potato salad for dinner, we'll have bacon cheeseburgers and fresh corn to go with it. I have a whole watermelon to cut up too.
Have a nice day everyone.

Happy Sunday dear Friends,

Dad is out doing Sunday shopping. I'm thankful he is staying home tomorrow! I am so looking forward to watching Sunday worship shortly. Doing so on Sunday always fills me with extra joy even though thanks to God, I know the day doesn't matter that I watch just that I do. I also know, of course, He knows being more worshipful on Sunday is important to me so it is to Him for me :)

:hug:Snowysmom, I truly pray you are able to still see 🐦when you move back at Kenny's. Perhaps some new feathered friends will greet you each daily at your new place. They Blue Jays sounds beautiful. Should you ever get a picture of one, I'd love to see it. God Bless Sam! Prayers he is long well now and had a very Happy Birthday, too. You know, he will always be special to me extra, because of his name. I believe from Heaven my Grandpa Sam is extra looking down on him! How truly special that you and your family had a Saturday night dinner tradition of 🌭🫘 I really like that you did, too. Small moments and family traditions that as you know can mean so much for a lifetime to come!

Thank you, Pea! Prayers that you catch more 💤tonight! I am very pillow particular and when I used to travel, even for a local overnight by Disneyland, would always try to bring my own pillow. I also agree with you on preferring my own bed and really just being at home. I am a homebody as I have said, not a traveling person. That said, of course, God willing one day how I truly look forward to our Quacker family meet at DL::MickeyMo⚾cheers to your DS and his team and prayers that your beloved Grady and Toto are doing well, too. They are Quackers, of course, in fur, too! :dogdance:

Big :grouphug:Lynn with truly just extra ❤️Still praying Bug safely returns.

Wishing all of you a Happy day with love. I will check back later.

Wow! Not one post. Thread save for the evening to say I pray each of you has had a good Sunday! It has felt more like later in the year here the last few days weather-wise which make time feel stranger to me once again. I was grateful to have gotten to talk with an elderly friend earlier who lives in Assited Living and hear she's doing better through some ongoing health issues. Yesterday, I got to also talk with Sue who will always be an inspiration to me. She truly is amazing at closer to 100 now! I did watch online worship and loved hearing a favorite Hymn Spirit of the Living God. I pray this hymn in some way every day, that He might call me afresh and new and help me to walk closer to, with, and always for him.

Colossians 3:12 was yesterday's scripture that I read. It reminded me of all of dear you and the kindness you daily choose to clothe yourselves in and share with so many including me! :thanks:always with love.

Sweet dreams to all :)

Good Morning. Happy Memorial Day. Thanks to all who served our country and continue to do so.

Yesterday was nice with Jeff and family. Jeff, Charlotte, and I went to watch the local Memorial Day parade in the town. It was the usual local groups, high school band. elderly veterans who served during the Korean War or Vietnam War. I really like the honors given to them. There was a bagpipe group who were playing the anthems of each of the branches of the military. I liked hearing the Army one as my Dad was in the Army in WWII. Why do bagpipes always make me want to cry? Then we went back to the house. I read Charlotte the book I got her and Ellie read the book I got Luke, to Luke. Ellie will read the book I got her at bedtime. She loves to read. We went outside for a bit and then Jeff cooked hot dogs and hamburgers for dinner. Sam opened the gifts I got him or actually his siblings opened them for him and then wanted to play with them too. Both were musical gifts and he sat and danced to the music. He loves to dance standing and sitting. I got back to the house exhausted and just vegged in front of a Hallmark Move, 2 tickets to paradise. I like that movie as it is light and fun.

Today I have taken my first walk, will do some work, and may go to Lowes to look at deck furniture. I know there are good sales this weekend but I am not going to rush a decision. There will be more sales. I know what I want and I want it to be delivered to my new place so I don't have to transport it from Kenny's house. Feeling very tired today so more Hallmark movies are probably in my future.

Have a nice day.

Good morning. The weather this weekend has been spectacular. Despite their saying it would rain today, they are now calling for a carbon copy of the last 3. I got the rest of the garden retilled and planted yesterday. 3 kinds of summer squash, 2 different zucchini's, 3 kinds of cukes, wax beans , and 2 kinds of green beans. I also got the lawn mowed. I fully didn't expect to see the painter yesterday, but she showed up around 11:30 and was here until 6. The living room and dining room are now also done 100%. I can finally put the new curtains up today. She won't be back for at least a week while they open the newest location of the restaurant she works at. Which is fine, I need a break from her. Everything I've told her not to touch, she has done it anyhow. Everytime someone unplugs our tivo/tv, it messes it up. I told her that when she was painting the walls in there. I said do NOT unplug this surge protector. Yesterday she walks in there to start taping the wall below the ceiling and the first thing she did was unplug it. I not so nicely said 'plug it back in and don't touch it again'. Enough is enough. She's been telling me things that Don should be doing, and it's crossing the line of what isn't her business. The only nice thing she did was bring us 2 marinated steaks for today. I guess that was thanks for the stove. I put them in the freezer as I already have ribs seasoned to cook today.

Still no sign of my missing kitty, I guess she's gone for good. She should have found her way home for food by now.

I hope everyone has a lovely Memorial Day, and thank you to any who have served, or who had family who served. God Bless

Good Morning 🌹

My sincere extra love and appreciation to all who have served (or who currently are serving) our country along with their families. Thinking extra of Carol and Easyas.

Great point, PollyannaMom. I truly do hope the weather has been brighter :sunny:for you and other Quackers. Here, it's still cooler and overcast. Doesn't feel like close to June at all. Grateful that time will come :)

:bday:boy yesterday extra, cheer for Sam, Snowysmom. How adorable his dancing sounds. I'm so grateful you got to spend time with him and Charlotte and Ellie too. I will have to look up Ticket to Ride, thanks for the recommendation. I would enjoy a local parade, too. Continuing extra prayers and peace to dear you always.

:grouphug:Lynn, I'm so sorry :(

Wishing each of you a happy Monday in however a small way. I will come back later.

I had just finished saying to Don that we wouldn't see Dave today because it wasn't raining, when in he pulled. He wanted to go and get the carpet for the porch so that it would be here when he wanted to do it. He's got a million things he has to do for people, but said he'll try to get here Wednesday or Thursday and knock out everything on my to do list. I said I can probably come up with more by then, lol. It's so beautiful outside, but we could use a little of the breeze that we had yesterday before it gets too warm. I washed the new curtains and have them drying on the line. Can't wait to get them up. Then the dining room and living room will be done, except for new carpet, which is the next project on the list. But I'm not making Dave do that with his back and neck, we'll have it installed.
