Happy Wednesday!:sunny:

Worked from home yesterday and it was a beautiful day outside. Both my bosses took off work yesterday so I worked in the morning and sat outside in the sun in the afternoon (while I worked 😏). Had a chiropractor appointment later in the day and stopped to get some more mulch and garden soil. Came home and unloaded 5 bags of mulch to the backyard and 5 bags of soil. Between that and the bags from Sunday, my hamstrings and butt are so sore!

Got all my flowers done 🌷. I have a small metal bucket that I need to put the rest of the flowers in but I have to clean it out first. I just have mulch to put down around the pond so I'll do that Sunday afternoon.

Headed to Evan's soccer game tonight so I'll have to catch the finale of Survivor tomorrow night. I have to make sure I stay away from any websites that will tell who the winner was 😵. I like to get on People magazine's website in the morning to get my entertainment news, not tomorrow.

Have a great day!

Good morning. Reading all I did yesterday, makes me even more tired this morning, I was trying to keep up with @Pea-n-Me -lol! Lowes called me yesterday afternoon to confirm delivery and said I would get a call from 'logistics' last night with a more specific time frame. They hadn't called by 9 , so I called Lowes. First they tell me they can't find my order, and then they give me the logistics phone number. No one answered. I call them again at 7 am, still no answer. I got up early in case they showed up at 8 am. I call Lowes again. They tell me it's on the way and will be here between 12 and 4. Now they couldn't have just told me that at 9 last night? Don can't get why I am upset. Because I have to empty out the drawer, and move all of the painters stuff out of the way. He thinks we are going to leave the old one sitting in the middle of the kitchen until she can take it? I don't think so,,it's going outside with a tarp over it. She can't be painting trim and ceiling with it in the way, I can't get around the kitchen with it there, and he wouldn't be able to get around the kitchen with his wheelchair. Hopefully she's cleaned out her car so we can get it in there soon.
I don't plan on doing much today. I might paint, I might not. Do have to make a grocery list for tomorrow, but that's about it.

Have a great day everyone.

Is it your stove coming today @lynxstch ? I've lost track of who is getting what.

This morning it looks like snow outside. That cottonwood tree is shedding again. Yes, right after we got the gutter guards on. Hopefully the mesh doesn't get clogged up before it rains on the weekend - yes, 4 days with possible rain from Saturday to Tuesday.

The tree is not mine. It's on the back side over the fence. But I'm first in line for it's assault as other neighbor has some pine trees that catch what goes in their direction. There's an idea, plant some pines! Maybe they will help someone else in about 40 years!

No plans for this weekend, yet. We do have an invitation to my son's company picnic/bbq at a nice posh resort the following weekend. I'm looking forward to it as my 3 grands will be there as well as other friends also connected with the foundation.

I'm a bit slow this morning as DD is working at work today. Anyway, of I go! Have a great day all!

@Judique It's already here. I got a call at 9:15 that they would be here in 25 min. It was more like an hour or so, but whatever. They unbox it , and no surprise..there was a dent on the left side towards the back and another one on the left side of the cooktop. Not noticeable since it's against ehe wall, but still. They left it sitting in the driveway while I called Lowes. They said they had none and didn't know if they were getting more, which is a lie, because I just looked on the site and put one in my cart, and it would let me check out with delivery on June 1, if I wanted. She said we can take it back and you can wait, or we can give you a discount. Let me go see what we can offer you. She came back with a $200 discount, so I took it. I can live with it since I can't see it. They brought it in and brought the other one outside, even though they weren't supposed to. The driver said 85% of what they deliver every day is damaged in some way. Whoever is boxing these things up and shipping them isn't very careful. Made in USA no longer means quality! They hooked it up and made sure everything works. It even came with a huge air fryer basket, and an owners manual which surprised me. lol. The painter just got here and is doing the kitchen ceiling to start with.

Happy Winds-Daypooh::grouphug:dear Quacker Family,

Thank you so much, Snowysmom! Dad is headed to the 99 Cent Only Store as I type this message to among other things (think hand wipes, lol) get some additional markers so that we can create our newspaper craft this afternoon. I will definitely share a picture and thank you and everyone else as well for your kind encouragement:cheer2:It will be fun to make :) Yikes to 44 degrees! ☃️weather for me! Congratulations and good for you 🚶‍♀️My Cousins enjoy daily longer walks, too. Prayers, always, dear friend, that your walks do bring you some extra peace and comfort. Hooray that you did relax. I hope the movie was a good one :)

Get some rest, Footballmouse! I would love to see 🌸pictures, I'm sure yours look lovely :) Sitting in some :sunny:weather would be great indeed and a more relaxing way to do work. I hope it was! ⚽cheer always for Evan and his team and always cheer for YOU!

Lynn, my favorite part of your post is that you don't plan (DON'T) on doing much today! 🛋️📺📚🛀you get the idea. REST! Pea, you, need to do likewise! :hug:extra to both of you lovely ladies.

A picnic would be fun, Judique! I hope it will be🥪🧺

Dad dentist prayers this morning as he will be seeing his periodontist for a cleaning. Tomorrow is when he returns to Costco to the Hearing Center. I sure am keeping that appointment in much prayer. with all my heart thank each of you for your own prayers for him (always in all ways and likewise for me, too) on this. God willing Ralph's through a free Boost trial will this afternoon deliver us 3 cases of Aquafina plus a package of Kroger Brand paper rowels. FYI, Kirby, Footballmouse, AuntieMe3, and anyone else who may shop at a Ralph's or Kroger, a digital coupon deal this week is a package of 6=12 rolls of Kroger Select a Size Paper Towels for $5.99. Bargain as normally this cost $9.99. Every 🪙sure counts! Speaking of penny's and welcomed surprises, Kohl's emailed me this morning a free, out of the blue $10. We still have our $20 Kohl's Gift Card from Credit Card Rewards Points. The $10 can be used online or in store. We need new kitchen towels so just may need to try going to a different Kohls or safer and easier Kohls.com! I am hoping to get to a different JC Penney store sometime.

All is quiet on the LA Front otherwise. Love to all and I will check back in later.

Lol, Lynn. You are the 👑 of getting things done, there’s no competition! Glad you got your stove. Our washer/dryer unit that we got recently has a dent in the front. We knew it was scratch and dent but we didn’t think it would be smack in the middle. We’re going to get something to put over it, we just haven’t figured out what yet. It was about $400 cheaper than anywhere else. But if you were loading the truck that day, wouldn’t you pick one out that maybe had a dent somewhere else? Unless that was the last one? I would. Oh well. It will be fun for you to have an air fryer?

I had ten errands to run yesterday. I could’ve done a couple more but I was pooped. DH had called to say that the plumber couldn’t come until Friday so he was taking a needed break. So we all veg’d out last night, which was nice (except DS, who had to work). We’re hoping we can still keep the waterfall faucet cause we all really love it. It could’ve just been that there was air in the pipes so it shot out, lol. But we’ll see if we can turn it down so water stays in the sink. I did pick up another faucet just in case but I hope to return it. The plumber is our builder who built our in law suite and sunroom, so it will be nice to see him. We’ll probably make his favorite spaghetti and meatballs so he can enjoy a dinner with us. He lost his wife a few years back.

The bathroom mirror I ordered came, it looks big but it could be the packaging. Fingers crossed. The light to go over it should be here today. I got new cabinet pulls, we have three big cabinets over the washer and dryer. We have to paint them, too. Inside I have some work to do - clean them out, and either paint the shelves or re-contact paper them, which I really hate doing! The stuff that’s on there now does not match at all. I bought some new towels yest and have to wash them. And a little box for one of the shelves for meds and stuff as we will no longer have a medicine cabinet (which we never used down there anyway).

This weekend DS has an out of town tournament so we’re going to that. Have to kennel the dogs, they won’t be happy about it. But it will be nice to get away a bit, and to watch some good baseball. We don’t really have anything else planned this summer, just home projects. But glad we’re getting it done. Can’t wait to show you what we’ve done but I want to wait until it’s finished. DS seems to be warming up slightly to the carpet tiles, lol. Still teasing me, but with a sly smile on his face.

DD just asked me to run out with her, she’s doing some planting and underestimated what she needs. So off we go to buy some more dirt and flowers. I called someone to talk to them about doing a yard cleanup, I don’t think we’ll have the time or energy. Have never paid anyone to do it before, not sure how much it will cost, but we’ll see. Seems like there are lots of people out there now looking for small jobs.

Keeping up with reading and events. Thinking of you all. Have a good Wednesday! 🐥

Good morning everyone. Is it me or has time come to a screeching halt today????????????? I feel like it will be crawling very slowly until Friday afternoon:teleport:

Dad and I have had some newspaper project ideas so it's coming together. I just read the contest rules again and indeed everything needs to be home-made.
Good luck with it! I haven't got a crafty bone in my body, it's just not in my genes! I always marvel at the stuff others can make.
I ended up taking 3 walks yesterday
I need to get better about my walking.
Do have to make a grocery list
Made one last night, now I just have to carve out a time to run to the grocery store!
No plans for this weekend, yet.
Husband and eldest are going crabbing on Friday, youngest & wife are coming over for Friday & Saturday night. Saturday we will have a cook out down by the water, nothing fancy-just burgers & dogs. It's a good excuse to get the patio & fire pit cleaned up down there though. Saturday I may poke around here, it's only about 5 minutes from home: I so need to mow and I usually do that on Saturdays so we'll see how I feel!
https://www.chestertownteaparty.org/
No definitive plans on Sunday or Monday. Maybe go to a movie? Or out for lunch or dinner? Eh, I just we'll just see what those two days bring.
Our washer/dryer unit that we got recently has a dent in the front. We knew it was scratch and dent but we didn’t think it would be smack in the middle. We’re going to get something to put over it, we just haven’t figured out what yet. It was about $400 cheaper than anywhere else.
There used to be a place in Dover, DE that Sears had, it was were all their new but dented or scratched appliances got sent to. It was open to the public and you could go in there and buy a fridge or stove or washer or whatever at a decent discount and Sears would still come and install it for you. I think we bought a fridge there a long, long time ago. To bad it's not still around.

Judique & Lynn have inspired my thought for a QOTD with their comments on what plans for the weekend & grocery lists: QOTD: Do you have any special menu's planned for Memorial Day weekend or a traditional food you eat this weekend?
For us, nothing terribly special. We are having burgers & dogs w/ shrimp mac & cheese and probably chips & dip and cookies/s'mores down at the fire pit. Not the most inventive (or ahem-healthy!)menu I know, but we were in the mood for a super basic/simple meal since we would be down there cleaning up anyhow. There will be a pitcher of rum punch as well! We don't have any traditional foods over this Holiday weekend, just whatever we fancy when the time comes. I guess we will be having crabs though if the boys have a successful day on Friday!

So as I mentioned up above, for some reason this day seems to have come to a almost halt...time just seems to be dragging. I do have a pedicure appt. this afternoon, might try to go a little funky with my nail polish selection! Husband has someone coming to the house around 6 to look at a wood stove he has for sale, so we decided on a simple frozen pizza that has been living in the freezer for entirely to long for dinner! I've been on a real clear-out kick with the freezer so anything I can use I'm trying to get thru. It's going to be a Ghost town in the office on Friday, several folks out - depending on how the day goes I may just spring everyone else early or mid-afternoon so they can get a jumpstart on their holiday weekend. I'm trying to squeeze in a trip to one of the jobsites tomorrow as well, in between the dogs vet visit and a yoga class I TOTALLY FORGOT I SET UP until they sent me a reminder this morning. Honestly, if I don't write it down in the physical calendar I keep I may forgot it, which I did.

I should get back to work-

:hug:Pea, sounds like you need some more 💤too! Yikes to 10 errands:car:Please take it easier today, my friend. Thank you for the extra kind care 🍝 you are giving to your plumber. Sharing a meal, breaking bread with someone, is a form of daily Communion indeed.

Easyas:hug:and good to see you always, my friend. Craft thank you! You are a definitely a kind and talented in many ways lady! I will remind you of that anytime. Honestly, to me, these days often feel timeless in general once more. I do hear you on a slower feeling. That can also be a positive thing and blessing, reminder (Lynn and Pea, thinking of both of you especially) to slow down! Great QOTD! Dad and I won't be doing anything differently other than maybe 🙏he will stay home. If we had any private outdoor space, I would put out some type of small flag. I'll try to wear something red at least. Of course, I will also take an extra time to give God thanks for those who have served, are serving, and their families, especially of course to all who have lost their lives for our freedom!

Dad did find a few needed things at 99. ETA: Dad did just call and thanks to God, is on his way home from the dentist where all went very well.

Good afternoon wishes to all:flower2:

@Pea-n-Me If I had bought it as a scratch and dent I wouldn't have minded. Our store didn't have any of the one I wanted, so I had to order online. The box was totally undamaged, as I watched them take it out of the truck to unbox it. There's no telling how or why it happened, I just don't think there's any excuse for it. I'm going to write to Maytag and let them know, I don't expect them to do anything about it, but I want them to know. I have already gotten my refund back from Lowes.
I already had an air fryer, a big Ninja Foodie Pro. But it took up almost 1/2 of one counter and it was a pain to take out, use, clean, and put back. Now I just press the button for it, and put the basket in. No preheating needed, or so it says. I can't wait to cook something on/in it, but it won't be tonight. The painter has the kitchen in total disarray again.

QOTD: Do you have any special menu's planned for Memorial Day weekend or a traditional food you eat this weekend?
It's just the 2 of us, so we usually have picnic foods all weekend. Burgers one day, bbq chicken the next, and Memorial Day is always ribs. I'll make a big bowl of potato salad to go with it, and I'm picking up some fresh corn and a watermelon tomorrow.

Good afternoon.

School is almost over and the sports are winding down. Ella had a softball game yesterday and I needed to take a walk to stop me from saying something. I love baseball and softball and have played or coached most of my life. I stopped coaching a few years ago because of the organization I was with. They let one coach stack their team and give me the team of "losers" as that coach called them. We may have lost every game but i took a team of unwanted girls and taught them how to play and most of all how to have some fun. Anyway the teacher who is coaching Ella's team does not understand the game. She set the girls up to lose by putting it in their head that the other school was going to beat them. The 1st 2 innings were brutal and the other school's coach was obnoxious. These are 7th and 8th grade girls and I would estimate that 90% of them never played before or had little experience. I finally went up to Ella's coach and said something to her about somethings I observed. The girls heard me, especially because I was telling Ella what she needed to do. They did not win but they fought back and scored enough runs that the other team did not get the mercy rule win they wanted. Ella was 2 for 2 with 2 hits and she scored twice so I was very proud of her. Her 2 BFF's are on the team and they did well too. Ella got hit in the head with a ball she was fielding and her one friend took one in the chin. The friend was done, she just was having an emotional day. Ella shrugged it off. After the game the "graduates" were given a gift bag. It was really nice with a framed picture of the team and a LOT of candy.

Softball wasn't enough as she then had a Volleyball playoff game last night. She has come a long way and her team won their game so tonight is the Championship game. I will be there again rooting them on.

Jim had a foot dr. appointment today and thankfully no surprises there. We did get the prescription to start the fight for his yearly shoes. That's always a long drawn out process. The people that make them blame insurance and the doctors. I think they just don't know how to do their jobs and since they are the only orthotics store in the area they know they can get away with it.

My Disney trip is 4 weeks from today and I am looking forward to, but with a little apprehension. My daughter and one granddaughter are very laid back. I don't think they believe in clocks. I know this and I also know it will start to irritate me at some point. I am trying to pin down certain things now, such as snacks, since I do NOT want to Uber to Walmart and my husband is against that idea too. Thankfully Ella is more like me in some ways and we did get some snacks to pack. She sees my reasoning and agrees buying bottled water is not needed. We can take refillable bottles, I do it all the time.

QOTD - My menu depends on whether or not I am going to my son's house. He hasn't said anything yet so not sure about that. If I am cooking, it's burgers or hot dogs depending on what I have on hand, potato salad or pasta salad depending on my mood, cole slaw - store bought as my grocery has an awesome cole slaw, baked beans for my husband and corn - either on the cob or the Mexican corn salad he likes. Sometimes I make a bean salad that he also loves and is so easy to make, to replace the baked beans. I actually make a batch of the bean salad every couple of weeks all summer since it's so easy and when it's really hot or I have a game to go watch it's a nice alternative to cooking.

If we go to my son's house it is usually burgers, hot dogs, chicken, and sometimes ribs. He is our grill master. The sides are pretty much the same. I will bring something for a side, usually corn on the cob or the salad.

Hope everyone has a nice day.

Good afternoon 🌷

Lynn, extra:grouphug:this painter of yours from across the country isn't sounding to peaceful in working style :( I simply continue to pray she is doing a good job that will very soon be completed!

Taz, 🙏so very much for you a truly safe and fun ::MickeyMotrip to soon come. You have put so much love, care, and time into it. The girls are so very blessed to have you in their life in general, always, and to be able to take this adventure with! Praise extra to God about Jim's 🦶doctor appointment.

Thanks to God, dad is long safely home. All did go very well for him at the dentist. We're truly hopping Boost will deliver this time between 4-6. We're shortly going to be creating our Daily Sun newspaper. I will share more about that later or for sure in the morning:sunny: May always, each of you, know, outdoor sun shining or not that you are so loved Jesus, God's Son! And by His Grace, also cared for in kind love by me, too.

Thread save with sweet dreams wishes to all with love.

Dad and I have made a good start on our newspaper. We'll finish it tomorrow and I will share a picture then. Boost delivery was such a blessing this afternoon, it worked out wonderfully. Curtis, the delivery man did a great job and couldn't have been any friendlier. Dad finally admitted how handy it was to have the three big cases of water and one package of paper towels brought directly to our door and just inside our apartment. :cheer2:Dad knows I will remind him he said this if need be in the future! :) We are most grateful indeed and extra thankful to God to have been able to do this in general, of course, and through our current free Boost trial. I almost forgot, I realized earlier, that Ralph's was offering a free box of Eggo 🧇with any delivery or pickup orders and digital coupon. Dad now has an extra breakfast (or anytime) choice!

Prayers each of you have had a good rest of the day and will indeed sleep well tonight. 🐥:grouphug:❤️

Good Thursday morning. :sunny:

Busy night ahead for me. I have a chiropractor appointment after work, need to clean up the backyard and litter boxes, get the garbage out and to the curb, and do laundry.:laundy:

Went to Evan's game last night, Mia was not a happy girl 😢. I think she was getting hot in the building and was tired. I eventually got her to sleep for about 30 minutes.😴

I ended up catching the end of Survivor last night so I saw who won. I go back and watch the beginning of the episode tonight.

I don't think I'm doing anything or going anywhere for Memorial Day so nothing special for a menu.

Have a great day!

Good morning. Running late, have to get errands and grocery shopping done. Sunny and mid 70's today.

I was so aggravated at the painter yesterday. First she didn't show up until noon. She only got the kitchen taped off to do the ceiling and finished the trim. She didn't get any of the ceiling done. Also, I explicitly told her NOT to take down the kitchen blinds. They are all new, and were a you know what for me to get up. She leaves at 4, and left everything for me to put back, I go to clean up, and find that 3 out of the 5 kitchen blinds were down and I had to fight to put them back up. She's not coming today, the restaurant is adding a second place, and they are doing a trial run. She said she'll be here tomorrow, and she's thinking of taking the weekend off of work to paint. Just what I want, a painter here on a holiday weekend. But if it means she gets finished sooner rather than later, I'll live with it.

Have a nice day everyone,

Good Thursday morning from me, too!

Wow what a super quiet thread. Everyone, okay?🐥 🙏

Aw, poor Baby Mia, Footballmouse. Thank you extra for being there for her. She truly is so very blessed to have you in her life! I do hope Evan's team won and that you enjoyed your📺show. May today go smoothly for you, too. I am sorry it will be a longer day, no fun.

:grouphug:Lynn, I'm sure sorry to hear that :( I am guessing you are under contract with this painter? She doesn't seem to be holding up her end of the bargain too well. I feel awful, of course, she's putting additional stress on you when she is meant to be doing the opposite! Prayers indeed, my friend.

Dad was able to get us some favorite boxes of Wet Wipes at a 99 Cent Only Store earlier. He's at Costco now for his appointment. This afternoon, we will finish our newspaper and enter the contest! I promise to share a picture of our creation either later today or in the morning.

Wishing all of you a bright day and always with love.

:hug:PollyannaMom, what matters to me, is that you, my friend and the rest of our Quacker family are well. I pray all of you know that. Thank you for checking in. I hope you and your 🐈are enjoying a warmer morning outside. Quieter days are lovely indeed!

Good afternoon! I am in the midst of doing some things around the house. Right now I am putting some gifts together that I need to do and writing out cards. We had an unexpected death in the family, sadly. Seeing that branch of the family tomorrow morning for breakfast. I bought some rosary beads for one person that came in a heart-shaped case, and I found another pair for the other person that I had on hand that are Waterford and I thought he might like, along with some prayer things. This is the type of loss that is just devastating. (A child.) Many people don’t pray too much until something like this happens (as they mentioned they had been). I had some other presents for one of them, too, that I am searching for. 😬 Cleaning as I go. It may be a while.

Yesterday we ran around some more, but I was able to find a few things for the bathroom, as well as a nice industrial clock for the main room, and DH put some up last night. Thankfully the mirror fit. So now I have an extra, but that’s ok. I didn’t spend much on the second one. I realized when some things came from Amazon that I must’ve had “2” of some of them in the cart so I have a few returns to do. But the light fixture looks nice, and the mirror below it, as well as the trash can (wood) and some beachy things to hang on the wall (which is a local theme as we live near the beach). Other than that just waiting for the plumber tomorrow and thinking of what I have to buy to cook, to take away with us, and what to pack I’m hearing it’s going to be in the high 80s so that means lighter clothes. I hope we have room for everything, including a cooler and chairs. DS is feeling better but still isn’t 100% yet. I hope he can do ok in the heat.

Lynn, I am 😬 for you. She sounds like a pill. The guy I called to get a quote for yardwork didn’t bother to call me back. Had to take Toto to the vet’s yest for recheck - $350. That’s on top of the $350 I paid less than two weeks ago, for a minor problem. I’m thinking they’re starting to be a money grab there and am considering changing vets. Too bad as we’ve been there over 30 yrs, but there is a new owner. I’m just not sure if it’s like that everywhere now. Idk how people are going to be able to afford care for their pets at the rate this is going.

Wishing everyone a good Thursday. Just checking in, I still have to hop in the shower! 🐥

@Pea-n-Me So sorry for your loss. So hard when it is a young person.

Everyone does seem to be very busy lately. I had my early day in the office so I was on the highway by 5:30 am. I don't usually mind it. The traffic is not as bad as if I left an hour later. I picked up the grandkids at school and they are know winding down watching a bit of TV. Kenny has plans for them when he gets home.

Have a good evening.
