@PollyannaMom Sorry your DS is still having issues. I hope you can find a doctor that will be able to help your DS. It is so hard when our kids are sick.

I have to freeze bread as I cannot eat it quickly enough before it goes bad. I buy half loaves when I can so that works. Otherwise I break up a loaf of bread into smaller parts and put them in a freezer bag and try to squeeze out all the air.

It is a warmer day here. I liked the crisper cooler weather. I am off to younger DS's house to play with the grandkids. DDIL has a wedding shower to go to so he is home with the kids. It is a good time to play with them and hold the little. He is so smiley now and so wiggly. He will love all the sights and sounds of Disney.

It's overcast once again so far this morning. Dad will soon be headed off quickly to CVS and Pavilions. Later, I look forward to online worship.

Very sunny here, and warm, as in 87. After the cooler days it makes it feel even warmer. I got both sides of the back door painted, spackled the spots on the front door trim that needed to be done. Will sand and paint them tomorrow. I also put another coat of waterproofing on the front steps. Floor didn't get washed today, but oh well. It can wait another day or so.

Mr L is 'watching football', which means he's sleeping. It's just the Ravens game (the one team I don't care much for), so I just let the tivo play. He can rewind it later if he wants. His Packers are playing tonite. I told him he can watch that after I go to bed,,since he's awake half the night anyhow.

Aww love the pictures. Little Marty doesn't look too happy in that picture of the 2 babies ,,is he not a football fan yet? lol The one of all the 'little's is adorable,,thanks for sharing! And that cake looks delicious!

It’s been a busy couple of days. I picked up my new phone on Friday, and I am not too proud to admit I took advantage of the people at Apple and T-Mobile (the stores are in the same mall) to get the basics set up and my service moved over. I was too afraid I would mess it up completely. There is still a ton of stuff to download a little at a time, but so far I am loving the phone. First order of business was to reset the wallpaper with a photo of Mickey Mouse with me, and now I am selectively downloading my books and music, so I don’t have things on it I don’t need. I guess I should be heading over to the Genie threads now that I can at least use the free portion. It’s like Christmas and my birthday all rolled into one!

Good evening.

Yesterday was a fun day. It was good to be back on the campus we had taken the kids to for 6 years. Tailgate was good food with fun people. Game started at 7:30. DD and family left after halftime. DS and family left a little after that. We made it to the start of the 4th quarter. It was after 10:30 (long game with lots of penalties and TV timeouts) before DH and I left. The score was tied but we had a 2 hour trip home. Only one of our group left were DDIL's parents. Got home at 12:30 and managed to wake up for church.

This morning we went to church then to a little coffee shop café for a pastry and a drink. Then walked around the Newark Community Day, a town festival held on the UD green for the town of Newark. Home for the Ravens game.

Got laundry and little jobs around the house done today.

Just a bad picture. He was really quite happy all day. He was very active and moving around in the "baby jail."

Good morning all. Going to be a nice 78 today, but chance of rain after noontime. I slept in this morning,,good thing I tivo'd the Queen's funeral. I guess I could catch the important parts on the BBC but want to see most of it.

I cut back all of the echinacea yesterday before dinnertime. I had one of the outdoor cats 'helping me'. I would cut down a few stalks at a time to cut up and dispose of..she kept taking the long ones and walking away with them. Then she would lay down in the middle of all of them and roll over to get her belly rubbed. Silly cat!

Patriots and Packers both won, so we were happy

Off to find something to get into. May paint the inside of the front door and the trim around it. After I vacuum and wash the kitchen floor, since I never got to it yesterday.

@PollyannaMom I hope that today is an 'up' day for your son (and you!)

Good morning.

I woke up at 5:30 and have been watching the Queen‘s funeral every since.

I woke at 2:45 and turned on the TV. It watched me for a bit and around 4:30 I got some coffee and have been also watching ever since with breaks to feed the cats and dog, etc.

The pageantry is amazing and I'm glad I have the time to watch this.

Good Monday afternoon

I've been up since 5:30 watching the Queen's funeral, I'm tired . I wished I would have watched PBS like some of you did, I watched NBC. It was definitely something to see.

Worked all weekend so I didn't really do anything. Got my car fixed on Friday. The $1600 that I was originally quoted ended up being $255, wasn't the struts, it was a stabilizing bar.

Ds3 came over and cleaned out the shed for me. Ds2 came over and got my fall & Halloween decorations out of the attic. I wasn't going to put them up but I figured I might as well, wasn't doing anything else.

I have had the TV on while working watching the Queen's funeral. I did not see the service at Westminster so I hope they show it later. I love all the pomp and ceremony. I started on PBS which was less chatty than other networks. So beautiful.

Dad is finally on his way home from a morning of errands. He did way too much. Thankfully he did find some needed things. No one seems to have our pudding anymore which is no biggie. He did find a major score of a decent bag of Thomas mini plain bagels. Something as simple as that has been out of stock or the bag choices available contain burnt or hard as a rock, bagels which of course we don't want. Have learned to sure not take any product anywhere that we can find for granted again!
