Quarantine and chill and kindness chatty clubhouse: Jump in and join the conversation! All is welcome!

I have had the TV on while working watching the Queen's funeral. I did not see the service at Westminster so I hope they show it later. I love all the pomp and ceremony. I started on PBS which was less chatty than other networks. So beautiful.
I watched pretty much the whole thing on BBC.com. Hubby was watching it on CNN. I think the BBC did a wonderful job of covering it. And I loved the little recap at the end of it. I shed a few tears when they showed one of her pony's off to the side, and again when they showed 2 of her beloved Corgi's. Also lost it when they removed the crown and scepter from the coffin and moved them for the final time in her lifetime.

When they showed the corgis I was so sad. I was just thinking how they must miss her. They are so loyal and sweet. When they removed the crown and scepter King Charles seemed to be very sad, his sister Anne too. It was a very moving moment. The beauty of Windsor Castle and the grounds as well as the Chapel is amazing.

I didn't yet watch much of the service but it sure sounds touching. Thank you all for sharing. God Bless the Queen's family indeed.

We had a surprise cabinet find earlier of a bag containing 8 boxes of pudding! How grateful we are that God led dad to looking in that very cabinet for something else. He is with us in all always!

Its early but I got halloween nails this week.... the middle is more purple than the pictures and it's glow in the dark. Love them.
Love you nails Auntie!

Don't know much else. I feel like a broken record, one reason I don't post as much any more.
I understand.
Thinking of you Kirby and many prayers the kids are doing well.
Thanks Mona. I'm here, we're all doing okay. Just haven't felt like talking. I'm more of a listener than a talker.

We hosted Game Night with our friends Friday night. It was fun but DH and I are thinking about bowing out of the group for awhile.

DD's ex did not come to see the kids for his weekend again. It's been six weeks since he has seen them. This time he said that his wife was in the hospital. He lies so much that we never know when the is telling the truth. I pray that if she truly was in the hospital that she is okay and it isn't serious.

Our Crape Myrtles are all blooming. It's a little late but we'll take it.

Good morning. I don't like that it is getting darker in the mornings. I have to wait a bit to take my walk. Oh well, we will be turning the clocks back at some point.

I did see my younger DS's kids on Sunday. We had fun playing games. Older DGD always wants to win LOL! It was a nice time. Then older DS called to say he was coming by so we could go out to dinner. We had a good time. I love to have time with just my sons to chat and catch up.

Have a good day.

Clocks go back on November 6

Good morning all. It was very foggy again this morning, sun is burning it off now. Apparently we had rain again overnite, as everything is wet.
Now I have to wait till at least noontime for it all to dry out so I can mow and weedwack. Cannot believe how fast it's growing again.

I also have to get the floors vaccumed and washed today. I did get the trim around the inside of the front door painted. Had to spackle a few spots, and then wait for it to dry so I could sand them smooth. Looks much better now. Now if I can only get the carpet for the porch bought and put down, and paint the front door and the window trim to match, I will be happy. Those are all extra things that got added to my 'winter to do list'. At the rate these months are flying by, it will be here before we know it

Off to get my day started..have a good one!

Your life is flying by as is mine! Sometimes I feel as if I have less time than I did while I was working. Maybe because I'm moving more slowly and spend my time day dreaming.

I can't wait that long. I need it to be brighter now, lol.

Not sure if I have mentioned these here or on another thread, but I have one and do find it helps.

I have mine aimed up at the white ceiling in my family room, and I often turn it on when the day is particularly gloomy.

There are lots of brands on Amazon that seem similar.

Apologies if I have missed any important news here. I have been logging on a bit for sanity's sake, when DS is sleeping or feeling good enough to do other things, but he just doesn't seem to get totally better. - We keep having good days, full of hope that it's over, and then it starts again. ☹️

In the meantime, he is getting more and more behind in school, and worried about that.

They gave us the number of a specialist, but I can not get through to talk to them right now.

I am feeling very defeated.

@footballmouse So glad your car repairs weren’t as painful as you thought. DH’s car is at the shop right now I’m hoping no unpleasant surprises with that, either.

@PollyannaMom I’m sorry you’re still in limbo. Will PM you.

Had a good work weekend. Sad I didn’t get to relax and watch the Queen’s funeral but watched a little in and out of patient rooms and later at home. We were fortunate before that we watched everything as we were off. We watched BBC coverage and thought it was excellent. The pony got to me too. And the dogs. I love Royal Family stuff anyways.

DH is having a medical test today, DD took him. I am on call for my SIL who is having surgery and they’re sending home. I will likely spend the night at her house to make sure all is ok. It probably should not be a day surgery but you know how insurances work. I charged my headphones and have to put a few things together. I probably should have a small toiletry bag of my own but it’s rare that I stay by myself, last time was that blizzard when I had to work, that was in January. Off to get ready, and going to make a chicken soup before I go.

Have a good day, everyone! 🐥

Good Tuesday morning! :sunny:

Back up to the low 90's around here for today and tomorrow.8-)

Ds3 rescued a new kitten :cat:. Him and his coworker went to look at a flooring job they were going to be doing and went into a warehouse with the owner. He said they just happened to hear some little cries and looked to see where they were coming from. They found 2 kittens in a box with a wood pallet over the top. One of the kitten was stuck between the slats by his neck so they got him out. Him and his coworker each took one. I suggested the name Toffy since his dog is Caramel. He liked it but the girlfriend didn't so they went with Cleo. She's only a couple of weeks old, fits in the palm of his hand. He went right to Petsmart and got what he needed to bottle feed her. Caramel is very curious over her so they're keeping Cleo in a cage.

Did some errands after work yesterday. Stopped by Hobby Lobby and got some things to redo some pumpkins. Stopped at Target and got some products for my hair. Then I went to Kroger and picked up a few things. Started Weight Watchers last week and realized I didn't really have the best food in the house so that was the goal for this shopping trip.🥑🍌🍅

Ds1 stopped by, he was looking at a landscaping side job in my area. They were planning to move in to their house this weekend but that's been set back. A pipe that connects their bathroom sink, kitchen sink and washer has a clog somewhere and when DIL did the laundry, water got backed up and flooded their bathroom and kitchen 😧. They need to get the pipes fixed before they can move it, hopefully it gets fixed next week.

I like the darkness in the mornings 🌚. I don't really care for it getting dark so early at night, there's things I do around the yard and I don't like being rushed when I get home from work to get it done.

Forgot to water my mums yesterday so I definitely need to do that today when I get home from work. 🌼

Well, back to work. Have a great day! pooh:

Good morning.

Not much new to report.

The $1600 that I was originally quoted ended up being $255,
What a nice surprise.
I am feeling very defeated.
I am sorry you are feeling defeated and DS is having a rough time. I have nothing to offer but prayers and a listening ear.
Started Weight Watchers last week
I am so far off the wagon. I am Life Time and was free for the longest time, but no more. I keep paying the monthly fee thinking I'll buckle down but then just don't have the motivation. And, since the pandemic, the closest meeting is about 25 minutes away up I95. I should go but hate the thought of that drive in the morning. Are you going to meetings or virtual? It works as long as you are motivated. (I won't give you my thoughts on the most recent plan.)

Good Morning to my🐥family,

:cheer2:Hooray for fun with your grandkids and sons as well, Snowysmom! I am so very thankful to God He has gifted you such a loving family. I agree about the shorter days. I have never liked when it gets very dark near 4. Good reason to enjoy a cozier evening.
Lynn, as always, I am tired just reading about your housework plans! :tigger:is my stand in for an Energizer 🐇smiley. You just have a good day!

:hug:Judique, slowing down and doing more dreaming are wonderful things indeed! Being stiller the last few years has been a tremendous blessing all-around to me. 🕊️and love to you always.

:grouphug:dear PollyannaMom along with a ton of care and 🙏Reminder we care! Always. God is forever with all of you!

🙏Pea, for your DH and SIL! Warm soup is such a kind comfort to aid with healing. Thank you always for the compassionate care you give to so very many.

Please thank your DS, Footabllmouse, for giving a kind home to Cleo :cat:. I think the name Toffy to complement Caramel is adorable!

Just a :hug:Carol. Seems to me as though you already enjoy a lot of walking related activities which is wonderful! I enjoy hearing about your trips to Longwood and some of your scenic walks, too. Just take care, my friend and know always we all care.

Dad is at the laundromat followed by Smart and Final and Ralph's. Tuesday morning usual stuff. I will check back later.

It's sunny and 79 outside, with a nice breeze. I did so much this morning, that I will tire myself out again just reading it, lol. Changed out the litter boxes, did a small batch of dishes. Swept, vacuumed and washed the kitchen floor, put the rugs in the wash. Changed my 3 garden flags to 2 fall ones and a Halloween one, just because I love my Hocus Pocus one, lol
Took some trash down to the street. Weed wacked the whole yard, then mowed it..then cleaned off the mowers with the built in deck washer things they have. I never used it on the regular mower before this season..duh! I used to tip it and use a putty knife to get off stuck on grass..now it just washes it off. Sometimes getting older, doesn't always mean your brain is in forward gear, lol.

Haven't decided on dinner yet. I am going out to blow all the weedwacked grass off the walks and steps and driveway..and then call it a day for chores. All I have left to do is make a grocery list for tomorrow.

Yes, I think these are a great idea!

The sun coming out earlier would be good for walking as it gets cooler. I don't want to be out there in the dark.
