the shift back to having many people around after the pandemic has brought some challenges

I'll tell you a pandemic challenge that you wouldn't expect. Now 2 year olds who were born at the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, are having trouble in crowds. Causes a real sensory overload and clinging to Mom and Dad. I hope Carter does ok in WDW. He obviously withdraws in any crowd situation.

Possible good T-storms later this evening, fingers crossed we get a good one before I go to bed so I can enjoy it while I'm awake!

More regarding viewings/visitations: because of my faith and beliefs, I do not think the person's soul is present in their earthly body/vessel. The spirit/soul/self has gone on to a better place. That is part of why I don't view bodies, I don't feel they are there anymore. So, I don't need to visit graves to speak to my parents.

@Snowysmom , so sorry for Joe's situation but going into hospice sounds like the right thing.

Ok, enough of all that.

I am making chicken stir fry and rice for dinner.

I agree with what you said Carol and share your faith beliefs as well. That's also why for me, over time, it has become easier to move forward through loss. It fills my heart with humbled extra thanksgiving and awe to God to know those I loved who have gone onto Glory to be with Him ahead of me are indeed with Him! That they are also restored and able to serve now as His angels...extra gratitude. Of course, I do still miss my grandparents and Champ. To have the assurance of their well-being that one day we will meet again....I don't have words for that!

Wow..amazing..have been able to get on all day without the error. Hoping it stays that way. Usually at 2 or 3, I get the error..so far so good
Warm out, 80, have a few showers now and then, and right now full sun
Did manage to weedwack inside the garden while it was dry, so that is done.
Headache still here, but not as bad..not doing much, just watching more Hawaii 5-O's
Dinner is going to be leftovers from last night

sorry to hear that about your niece. Prayers for her indeed! A friend of mine from church currently has Covid, too.

I talked to MIL (her grandma) today, and she is no longer having fever and chills, so I'm hoping it was a quick, light case and that she's already on the mend. Thank you for the prayers - we appreciate them!

We got some rain here, too. The tomato plants look happy (tomatoes still green, but growing) and the eggplant has blossoms!

Nope, this time they were from Buddy's - that joint not far up (towards Centreville, on left - often have a old boat or old piece of farm equipment for sale in front yard) from the Pecometh turn off. We were gonna go to Fishermans deck, but decided to just chill at home. Buddy's crabs are usually quite good, and the folks running it are very nice.

Hello to all. It's been a LONG week. I am glad that chapter is over. But, of course an even more miserable one is about to start. I went and signed my affidavit today. Mine along with the others that people wrote for me will be filed tomorrow by noon. Then after they are posted by the clerk he and I will both see copies of what we each submitted. Then we have to file rebuttals by Friday. The judge then reads them on Monday and hopefully by the end of the week there will be a temporary ruling. UGH. It's so hard to wait and wonder. Things just keep getting harder and worse. I am petrified about what the outcome of the hearing will be. I am also dreading seeing what he has put about me in his affidavit. I'm fairly certain it will be all the things he's already told me a 100 times...all the reasons I was so awful and he couldn't be married to me any more. None of it of course has anything to do with the fact that he's been having an affair.
On a brighter note, I did get catch up with a very dear friend in person today. I had not seen her in almost a year. Was wonderful to be able to see her.

I hope that everyone doing well. I have a lot of catching up to do once things finally settle down. My attorney thinks there will be a ruling by the end of next week. I just have to try and make it through until then.

Frog Please take care of yourself. It is a difficult time and you are dealing with a difficult person. I hope that the affidavits from your soon to be ex are not as bad as you think. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I will pray for things to go your way and the kids' way.

It rained really hard during the night but now it is beautiful and breezy out. My walk was so nice I extended it a bit.

This morning's hummingbird is a little hard to see. It was one of those "hear it and point the camera without getting close and scaring it" things, then I zoomed in after and hunted around the picture - it is actually sitting on a branch!

Good Tuesday morning everyone!

We had a little rain yesterday morning but then cleared up for the rest of the day. Supposed to be in the 90's for the rest of the week and through the weekend. I'm planning on working a 1/2 day on Friday so I can sit outside in my little pool.

Went to my Pilates class last night, lots of abdominal work and tonight I have a workout scheduled. Ds3 had to use my car again yesterday. He just bought a used car a month ago. I loaned him some money and he saved up some so we thought he bought a decent car, no more "$1000 cars and let's see how long it lasts" type cars. Sure enough on Sunday he called and said something is wrong with it, he can't drive it. This kid just has no luck when it comes to cars.

Watched the homerun derby last night and tonight I'll tune in to the MLB All-Star game . The Reds only had 1 player voted in (a pitcher) so not sure how long I'll stick with it.

Not much else going on guess I'll try to look busy at work . Have a great day!

Stepdaughter just posted on FB that they had yet another bad accident right in front of her house a little while ago. Woke her out of a sound sleep, she heard the crash, and then a person screaming. They need to move away from that curve in the road. She said the driver of one car was in really bad shape, and they couldn't get the people out of the other vehicle to see how badly they are hurt
Today is bathroom cleaning and floor washing day. Along with making grocery list and gathering trash, so going to get at it before it gets too hot. I turned the AC on last nite to cool the house down overnite, seems to keep it cooler during the day when the house is already a little cooler.

Ok....this is just getting too odd. I just finished cleaning my bathroom (DS has to do the hallway one that he uses), and I swept and mopped all the floors (except that bathroom and his bedroom). Then I put up the three loads of clothes that have been sitting since Friday (did I mention I didn't feel like doing anything this weekend? I didn't, so I didn't...lol), cleaned the litter boxes, vacuumed the litterbox rugs, and then showered.

Going to be another hot one today; I need to mow, but I'm shooting for tomorrow for the front yard, and the backyard on Thursday.

Dh wants us to get away for a week at the end of august. Looking at somewhere we can drive to, spend a couple of days relaxing, and then drive home. Not Orlando, hah. No theme parks, I think. No beach focused places, but a beach for a little bit is ok (sun is bad); no 'springs' because of amoeba issues right now. Any recommendations (within a 12-18 hour drive from Jacksonville)? We've been to Savannah, Charleston, Raleigh, Orlando, Amelia Island, St Simons, St Augustine, Cumberland; and we' may be going to New Orleans in either late September or October, depending on when DH's convention there is.

Mail arrived after 7 last night. I felt badly for the carrier being out so late. We did not see who it was. We don't think it's our regular carrier anymore. For the last 3 days, mail has come later. The bowl came. It is adorable. I did reach out to Tracie from you Customize It because the bowl is also very small. She had told me it was small. I just didn't realize (I am a visual person at times) it would be quite this little. I just asked her what my options were. I would do much better with the larger size which costs $5 more. We shall see. There is nothing wrong with this one and again i receive wonderful customer service throughout.

Is your husband in the water treatment business by any chance?!?!?! I'm not super familiar with all areas of Florida - how about the Ft. Walton/Destin area? Or the Keys? Or the Space Coast? Charleston - did you say Charleston? Sorry I can't recall!

Well since she did indicate the bowl was already small I'm not sure there is much they can do, can they? You could get the larger one as well, and then he'd have two bowls and could use them for multiple things over the holidays. I feel like I'm always in need of extra bowls then, always so much 'stuff' be in decorations or food or odds & ends that we end up having out over the holiday time period. Or you could gift the smaller one and order him the larger one, two birds w/ one stone kinda thing if you are getting a gift for anyone else who might like the bowl. Or keep it for yourself! Give yourself the gift!

I've got to give a mini presentation on Bloodborne Pathogens today, it will be the very last thing these fellas who are hot, sweaty & tired and who just want to get into the AC in their cars and head home will feel like listening to. I get it, I understand. I'm going to make it quick as possible, since they'll be getting the actual training in two weeks.

Got some good rain last night, but looks like the next 6-7 days will be nasty hot & miserable w/o much hope of rain.

I've got to take my 'fun' car (aka the car I rarely drive) to get a emissions test later this week sometime. Maybe I'll take it to the farmers market or out to lunch this weekend.

Not sure what dinner is this evening, I won't be home till later, plus I have to vote on my way home (primary day in Maryland) so I'm putting that chore on my husband!

No, he's a Civil Designer/CAD Manager. There's an AutoCAD convention there this year; it used to be in Vegas, but they've moved it this year, because 'the atmosphere was too party-like'. Uh....do they not know about New Orleans and its party scene? LOL


We've done the Space Coast, St Petersburg/Tampa, and Destin too. We are literally an hour from St Augustine. Thanks for trying, lol.
