Happy Monday all...

We had a super lazy day yesterday, enjoying being home. DH and I went to breakfast at our favorite little Mexican place. We say it's our weekend tradition but we actually don't go as often as we could or would like to. LOL We were supposed to do some running around after but ended up just going home and trying to catch up on some shows. We ended up catching the little mouse Saturday night and nothing last night so I think it was just the one.

DH headed out of town for the week this morning. I ended up at Target pretty early to pick up something we were supposed to pick up yesterday and a few other things we needed. Remembered to check out the circle offers and noticed there was a $10 off a $60 purchase. My total was $63.something and with the offer, a coupon and my RedCard discount, I paid $48. Love when the happens especially when it's all stuff I needed to buy. Also stopped at my old job to see the kids....the older kids were really happy to see me, I don't get to see as often as the little ones since they are usually in school when I visit. I miss them and my boss and coworkers but I don't miss the job.

I have a Drs appt tomorrow, a nail appointment later this week and I need to do some stuff around the house so it will be a fairly busy week for me. DH has hinted to maybe taking next week off and taking a spontaneous road trip next week but we'll see. He's always busy with work, things change so last minute.

Hope you all have a good rest of the day.

Oops....forgot I wanted to show more of our desert "wildlife"....this big guy was on our front walkway this morning. He was probably about 8 in long and pretty wide. LOL The biggest lizard I've seen in awhile. He didn't seem to care that I had to walk past him...:scared: and was thankful he went away from me instead of toward me. LoL Then he went and sat right next to an ant hole and was snacking on them as he sat there,:lmao: thats the second picture. The little black specks in front of him are these big black ants we have.

Just ❤️Snowysom.

AuntieMe3, yikes to the critter! Yep, keep that away from me, too. Far away! i am so glad you and your DH got to enjoy breakfast together. Good deal on shopping! I am loving our warmer weather and hope you are, too, my friend.

I had such a lovely surprise earlier this afternoon, praise God! Dad and I decided to bake our sugar cookies one last time before the summer. God put it in my heart to text Terri to ask whether she might be out my way later today or tomorrow. Guess who was only15 minutes or less away from me when I texted? God's timing is forever on time! I was able to give her some cookies and a cocoa packet (the two treats really do complement each other so perfectly) and some cookies and cocoa for Barbara Ann. I knew Monday night is Bible study at church that they both attend. I didn't know that apparently it's over for the summer. Terri doesn't live that far from Barbara Ann and kindly said she'd deliver the goodies to her anyway. What meant more is that dad had a donation of shorts he no longer needed. The second Sunday (this coming Sunday) of the month is always when my old church does it's lunch in the park for those in need. Clothing is handed out as well. Dad's old shorts will get immediate good use, that meant a lot to us both 🩳Of course, it always means so much to me to get to see Terri for a few minutes.

Love to all for a good night!

I do like the lizard picture. I don't usually like critters but lizards are interesting. I love to find the little lizards at Disney. Now snakes, they are a whole different story! Yuck!

Flyingdumbo127 I am glad it worked out for your friends to get some treats from you and your Dad.

Hello everyone, thanks for the well wishes! Today DH had chemo and tomorrow I go to a post cancer checkup. Cancer sucks!!!
This morning a booked a home in the U.P. MI. We splurged it
was way more expensive than we ever pay for a VRBO. But it is last minute and there wasn’t much to choose from. DH and I, DD and her boyfriend, and DS will be going for 4 days in two weeks. It is DHs off week for treatment so hopefully he will feel a bit better.
it has been raining pretty steadily the last 3 days, so I will have some catching up to do when it finally stops. DS has been living with us since he moved back, and he has been a huge help with the yard work.
Have a good night everyone, I’m going to try to get to bed earlier tonight, last night it was 2:30am and then the dog got me up at 5:30. I just hate going to bed because that is when my emotions get the best of me. But I need to rest!

@dazedx3 Your upcoming vacation sounds so nice and relaxing. A splurge is always a good thing now and then. I hope you can get some sleep tonight. I have been having issues sleeping and it is not fun. It makes the next day difficult. Sending you sleeping pixie dust. And I hope the dog sleeps later in the morning.

Thank you, Snowysmom. I wish I could have sent you and other Quackers some of the cookies! Prayers you get a good night's rest.

Continued prayers for you and your DH, dear Dazed. Cancer is absolutely horrendous. I am so happy you are splurging on a trip, yay!

Hus, Pea, I also hope you get some much-needed rest tonight.

Hello to all.
@dazedx3 hooray on the rental! Sounds like so much fun.

@Snowysmom continued hugs. Hope things at the condo are slowly moving forward.

@flyingdumbo127 sugar cookies sound yummy right about now.

@AuntieMe3 the picture of your little “friend” is interesting but I’m glad he is in your neighborhood and not mine. :)
@Pea-n-Me Seems like Grady is adjusting very well. You and him are both lucky to have found each other.
@footballmouse thanks for the well wishes. Just have a few more things to get boxed up.

Well, today was an awful day all around. My husband once again had his girlfriend here helping him and my son was around her. I lost my temper and chewed him out. He honestly has no idea why having her around is not a great idea at the moment. Then his mother and I got into it a bit over text as she lied to me flat out and I called her on it. I’m considering blocking her.
I am hoping to get out tomorrow. We are supposed to have mediation Wednesday, but my husband threatened to try and reschedule. We shall see. I just can’t go on like this much longer. I know there are lots of things I could have done better in my marriage but, I’m tired of being made feel I’m not good enough and that it’s all my fault.
my son gets to have n expander put in tomorrow. He has a very small mouth and will prob have braces and mouth “hardware” for the next 3-4 years. He is not looking forward to any of it.
Take care everyone.

Happy Tuesday! ☔

Ugh, rain predicted for the next 2 days! 😕

Not much going on. When to Pilates class last night, dang am I sore this morning. Ds1 went and looked at a house last night, haven't heard anything from him about it.

Turned my air off yesterday because the forecast is saying upper 70's to low 80's through the weekend. Holy moly, was I sweating this morning while I was getting ready for work. I'm really tempted to turn the air back on but I think tomorrow I'm going to put my make-up on once I get to work. I hate to sweat after I put make-up on. I have fans going so the animals should be okay today.

That's it for me, have a great day! :tigger:

Good morning all

@Pea-n-Me calling for storms here later on today. Mr L was complaining that I 'riled up the pollen' when I mowed on Sunday. His allergies have been bothering him too,,guess its that time of year

@frog3101 I am so sorry that your soon to be X is causing such issues. I feel so bad for you and am sending you an extra :grouphug:
@AuntieMe3 Yikes to your little friend..as frog said..glad it's there and not here, lol!

@dazedx3 Glad you booked yourself a last minute get away (even if you splurged a little, you are worth it). Hope you have a great time

Since I did a good 'hands and knees' wash of the floors yesterday, there is nothing on my to do list that must be done. I am going to go out and tie up the tomato plants (a lot of them have flowers already) in case the storms get bad. Almost every cuke, squash and zucchini seeds are up and growing.

Have a great day everyone

All the rules and how much time all this takes makes me nuts.
That would drive me nuts as well...hurry up & wait isn't my strong suit. Sounds like your family has really rallied around you, doesn't make it suck any less but I hope it brings you a small measure of comfort.
Sounds l love to hear on the weekend.
The sounds of summer!
Mormon Temple
I've heard a few people mention the Temple and touring it recently - did it just undergo a refurb? One of these days I'll have to get over there.
Such a nice little airport.
It is - it reminds me of West Palm Beach, simple - small, easy to navigate and get in & out of. And I like that the rental car facility is right there.
But highlight will be seeing Paul McCartney at Fenway Park.
That's a great highlight! Enjoy!
My therapist has been helpful with things. She encourages the yelling if that is what I feel I need to do.
Sounds like she is a good fit for your needs, I'm glad she is a helpful resource/sounding board for you. Again, thanks for sharing your story and road forward.
The biggest lizard I've seen in awhile
That's cool!
This morning a booked a home in the U.P. MI. We splurged it
Good for you guys! I hope you have a fabulous time.
Almost every cuke, squash and zucchini seeds are up and growing.
Man - it's like our garden has exploded over the last week. And so it begins...ready for those tomatoes!

yawn - up at 3, boarded our plane home around 4:45 and were in the car driving home from BWI by 7:45 this morning! We are tired! Stopped at the house, loved on the mutts for a few minutes, watered my outside plants & flowers and headed into the office. I've got to drive down toward the DE shore this afternoon for a 3 PM meeting. Then I'm headed home, I'll stop at the grocery for a rotisserie chicken and a bag of salad, then my husband and I have a date to sit down, have a glass of wine, watch the garden before falling asleep early. Had a good, quick visit with my folks, they are (mostly) staying out of trouble. They'll be up next month for a short visit for my nieces graduation party.
This weekend we meet the parents of youngest's girlfriend - and may possibly be welcoming a new foster pup. Stay tuned on that development

Welp, I'm being bellowed at from the offices downstairs to come out to the shop. The new tractor trailer my husband flew to TX or purchase was delivered while we were gone, so now I have to go and look at it and go "ohhh and ahhhh".

Morning all!

Gotta say it... GO AVS GO!!! (for non-hockey fans, my Colorado Avalanche are heading for the finals):cool1::cheer2:

I pulled a muscle or something in my upper right arm Saturday night. I didn't feel it, but when I got up Sunday, my arm so very sore, and by the end of the night, I could barely move it. It feels like my bicep or something has a heavy weight on top of it that is pushing against it. No bruises or swelling. I spent yesterday alternating between using a cold pack and a heating pad on it; I couldn't move my arm much. Today, I can move it a little more forward and backward as long as my arm is bent and held close to my body; cannot move it up and down or if the arm is extended, so I'm starting back with the cold/hot. If it's not better in a few days, DH will have to take me to urgent care or something.

So I had to order Chinese for dinner last night, because I couldn't lift my arm to cook. I do have to cook the ground pork tonight, so I'm making...I don't know, because I was going to do a stirfry with pork, cabbage and green beans, but I don't want eat Asian food two days in a row (especially because I'm having leftovers for lunch today). Has to be simple, because I have to cook with my left hand...and I am right handed, so...:charac2:

Plus my allergies are seriously kicking up this week. itchy dry eyes, nasal congestions, stuffed up ears. I've done two Covid tests at home, and one at Walgreens, just to be sure, and all neg, so allergies for sure.

We're having a week, because DGS#3 fractured his foot (either at the trampoline park or at the pool; the did both the same day, with his sitter), so he's in a boot for now. DGS#4 took a nose dive (hey, guess who learned to scootch his way forward, right off the bed) and smacked his face on the floor. He has teeth and they cut into the gum above/below them, so he had a good bloody face. No permanent damage (they did an xray or ? to check for broken bones). DD#2 got an earful from the ER doc about leaving him on the bed unattended (she was in the room, but putting clothes away in their closet), so I didn't feel the need to pile on (but if he hadn't, I would have). DGS#2 got his hair dyed green (more yellow, IMO) because he wanted to be like his fav BTS guy; he was running around while we were facetiming, slipped, and banged his face into the wall; loosened a tooth and gave himself a black eye.

Dh put together my little buffet cabinet finally. It has shelves on both sides, so I'm moving all my fancy serving bowls and platters, and the extra wine glasses in there.

@dazedx3 enjoy your vacation!
@lynxstch supposed to storm here too. No mowing or weedwacking for me this week, because of the arm. Hopefully I'm better by the weekend, because the backyard is getting bad.
@AuntieMe3 love finding surprise Target deals!
Sorry, I know I wanted to comment more, but I cannot remember what I wanted to say!

Have a good day, y'all!

Waving Good Morning 🌼

Today's my grandpa Sam's 105th birthday. It brings me a smile to know that by the Grace of God, he and grandma along with Champ are celebrating in Heaven. Reminder to always tell those you care for that you do. Snowysmom, next time you see baby Sam, give him a hug from me :)

:grouphug:Frog. I am also so sorry your Ex is choosing to behave in such a hurtful manner to you and his kids. Much prayer all-around. Know we all care and admire your courage! Let me know if you'd like a card or postcard.

Dad and I have almost finished watching A Harvest Wedding. It's a bit predictable but sweet, nonetheless. Beautiful scenery. David (Victor Webster) sure is handsome! He looks a bit like Dean Cain. It's strange to see the actor Marcus Rosner who plays David's brother Tom and the groom to be as another character since dad and I recently saw him in Love on Harbor Island. Abby (bride to be) reminds me a lot of Lucy Camden (Beverly Mitchell) from 7th Heaven! I used to enjoy that show until learning, of course, of the actions and choices of one of the main actors--no words :(

Anyway, enjoy the day, friends. I'll check in again later.

WoW, B&B, that's a lot all at once! I hope everyone heals well and quickly.

Seriously. It was a rough week for me and the grandkids.

I ended up making a pork and cabbage casserole; sort of like stuffed cabbage, but you just cut the cabbage into strips and layer them in the pan, instead of filling and rolling. So much easier.

Everyone is so busy lately. B&B Sorry you hurt your arm and the injuries that family members had. I hope everyone feels better soon.

Frog Sorry your DH is so mean. I don't understand why the girlfriend wants to be around your family right now. Does she not have any sense at all? I am guessing no.

Happy Birthday to Grandpa Sam. He is no doubt having a nice celebration with everyone. I have been watching some Hallmark movies. It passes the time and is light and fluffy most times.

I worked today, walked, went to CVS to pick up a med and the pharmacy was closed for lunch. Well, there is always tomorrow. I don't need it until my dentist appt next month. I made the mistake of starting to clean up some stuff to take from DS's house to my condo. I opened a folder with professional pictures Chris and I had taken on our Bermuda cruise in 2018. They were the best pictures of us since our wedding pictures. I just started crying and crying. Then that led to me yelling at him for not taking care of himself. Some days are better than others. My coworker and friend who lost her husband 25 years ago tells me that when I yell at Chris he is probably giggling and laughing. And I am sure she is right. I am entertaining him most likely. But what I am yelling at him is true.

I have decided to move into the condo the weekend after Father's Day. I don't want to be alone on Father's Day as it will be hard. I decided it is one way to take care of me. I have a couple of Fridays off and will be seeing one friend for lunch, the one who looked at condos with me and loves the place I ended up with. We are eating lunch at a place called Christopher's. It just seems right. I bought the zoo pass today so I can wander around the local zoo when I want to. I also bought my 3 almost 4 year old DGS his birthday gifts today. He loves vehicles so I bought him a toy tractor and a cement mixer lego. He will love both. Older DGS turns 7 on Sunday. DS says it will probably be a low key birthday for her since the baby has added some work to the mix. She will enjoy anything as long as she gets gifts and cake.

Have a nice evening.

:grouphug:🙏B&B! Please take care of yourself, my friend. PM me if you'd like a card :)

Thank you so much, Snowysmom, for your kind words. I am sure Grandpa is having a great day. I love that you are having Father's Day lunch at Christopher's. I'm also very thankful to hear you are waiting an extra week to move into the condo. Aw, God Bless your DGS. What a loving and kind Grandma you are to all of your grandchildren. Hallmark movies are indeed quite handy and can be comforting. I'm glad you are able to watch.

It's not even 4 and feels so much later. Not sure why other than perhaps the warmer weather. Love not being cold, that's for sure!

Have a good evening, my friends.
