Unless you consider pre-ordering fast food, then have never used it. I've tried to talk hubby into doing at the grocery store since I hate grocery shopping but he won't do it. He says he doesn't trust them to pick out the right meat and if they can't find what you want they sub something else. My DIL orders 80% of her groceries for pickup and my son's picks them up on the way home from work. I think my in-laws do it but both of them have issues with walking, heck my FIL uses a golf cart to just pick up the mail from the mailbox. I do use Amazon but not for groceries and have occasionally ordered something on line from some of the big box stores for delivery but never for curb side. Our thinking is if we are getting in the car/truck to drive the 15 min. into town, might as well go into the store. We will look on line to find the low traffic times in the store, when I say we I mean hubby.

I can't say that I've never used it, but I generally dislike it and prefer to go in, even if picking up an online order. I hate how the Target stores around here have like 30 spaces for curbside, and yet only two or three of them are ever in use, maybe a few more around Christmas. It seems ridiculous! I did use it a couple of times during COVID - in fact once at Best Buy, there was no other option, though you didn't park in a space, but pulled up to the side like a drive-thru window. I tried to use it for some pizza, but after sitting in the parking lot for 20 minutes, I went in to check, and my order had been ready the whole time. 🙄 I know it's supposed to see easier, but in my experience it actually makes everything more complicated.

I have never used curbside pickup at the grocery store since things like fresh meats/produce I prefer to choose for myself. Last week all of the head lettuce looked terrible, so I bought something else. With meats you can look for leaner cuts or the size of package best suited to your family. Seeing what new/different items are in stock to me is part of why I grocery shop. Looking through pages of items online isn't more convenient and doesn't save me any time, not how I choose to shop.
