@Pea-n-Me your food does look delicious. Yum.

Being in the hotel with just a cooktop, I'm really missing my oven. I realize most of my favorite dinners are made in the oven now that I don't have access to one. LOL We ordered greek food last night. I got a falafel pita and OMGoodness it was good. I was so full but want to stop eating.

DH and I watched a fabulous Ken Burns documentary (8 episodes, I think?) on the history of country music. I highly recommend it if you can find it on streaming or on DVD at the library!
I watched when it was on PBS. It was so good. 8 episodes I kept in the DVR for so long for DH to watch and he never got a chance before we ditched our cable and had to get rid of our box. I need to poke around online and see if I can find it somewhere. I wonder if PBS has a streaming service like all the other channels are doing now. That's something I would love, we used to watch all the American experience episodes, i would always learn so much I had never learned or heard about.

Bought a scratch off lottery ticket the other day and won
Woohoo....congratulations.

Welcome @SirDuff

@easyas123 my DH goes crazy when he has to do trainings over and over and over again...lol That's all I hear about the night before he has a training.

@Breezy_Carol sounds like a great class. I hope you enjoy it.

DH has a work dinner tonight at the nice seafood restaurant we went to the last time we were up here. He asked if u wanted to go but said I'd pass...as much as I loved it there, I don't want to hear their boring shop talk all night. LoL He said he's take me back just the two of us this weekend.

I walked around the building 4 seperate times yesterday(more than 1000 steps each time around) and today I'm going to go around twice each time I do it. Like i said before this is easy more "exercise" than i have been doing at home lately. The walking and the stretching exercises i started awhile back have really helped my back too, so I need to keep it up.

Hope you so have a great rest of your day.

Home from errands..It rained, it snowed, it sleeted,,and now it's all stopped. Gas was up to $4.19 on the way home (Sheetz) diesel is $5.25 sign up by Loves truck stop says their is $5.43..that means prices are going up again. There was a whole 6 cars in Aldi's parking lot, and walmart wasn't that much busier. They actually had some Friskies canned food on the shelves,,and the dry stuff was packed up to the ceiling. Its either feast or famine I guess. Off to put stuff away and make lunch..making a meatloaf for dinner

Dad 🙏 please. He overlooked a small step down to his car after leaving the post office this morning. Thank God, he did not fall! He did somehow twist his leg/side. He does have a doctor appointment tomorrow (not with his primary). I keep trying to tell him to call to at least ask when he could be rescheduled. He wants to give it a little longer before deciding. Thanks, friends.

I hope each of you is having a good afternoon :)

I am behind again, I will catch up. It is a dreary day here with rain.

The remodel has been slow but I do love the new furniture, not that I have used it much. I am staying up in my bedroom to avoid some of the dust. The electrician got the lights and ceiling fan up and what a difference that makes. We got the new TV so no more green line and a new cable line as the old one had split. The carpet is ready to be installed, most likely this weekend. We did have 5 boxes of flooring left and the store agreed to take them back but for store credit. Not a huge deal as we have decided to tile the entry and use the same tile in the bathroom so it will tie things together. We should be all done in about a week or so and in time for Easter so I am happy.

I found cute coasters at Kohl's that fit the decor nicely and say LOVE but with a paw print for the "O". I am trying to decide how to bring some color in now and was leaning towards the new Honeybee decor that is out or Sunflowers. My granddaughter, who is 13 going on 30, said that is dumb. She will help me but she is all booked this Friday and Saturday. She does make me laugh. Her sister warned me to stay clear of her help because she has odd taste and everything is purple. I think I will take her advice. When we did the kitchen years ago I got rid of my entry closet and now have what I call a boot closet with a small "alcove". I know I want to get a small shelf for the car keys. I am ALWAYS losing them. I thought a welcome sign and a small mirror would look nice there. The area is about 3' X 4' so a decent size. Boscovs has some cute painted mason jar type decor with LED battery operated lights. When I saw them I wasn't too crazy about the price but they are going on sale tomorrow and starting Friday I have a 15% off coupon. They had both styles plus butterflies so I may head there. I thought they would look nice on the end tables since I no longer have table lamps. Then a couple throw pillows should be a start.
I got new hardware for the china cabinet and after we put it on we realized I got 3 different style knobs. Unless you look really closely you can't tell so I am not worrying about it.

I had to laugh the other day. We put the trash out including the box from the TV. It had trash and a few doggy poo bags in it. The trash pickers took the box and left the TV. They are in for a surprise. The one interesting development is my dog stopped using her pee pads and actually did not pee or poo for over 24 hours. When I walked her she flooded the lawn. Sh now goes for a walk 3 or 4 times a day and hasn't had one accident. The cats like the high sided covered litter boxes so they are both a step forward.

Other than that not much has been going on. I did see the question about vegies and there is only one I will not eat - OKRA! It is a slimy, disgusting vegetable, no offense to anyone who may like it. All other vegies are fine and I love some of the ones that most people hate like Brussels Sprouts. I also put mushrooms in almost anything I cook. When my husband and I were first dating my mom invited him to dinner. She went all out and made a roast with mashed potatoes. He loved the potatoes and asked her what kind they were. She handed him a potato. He looked at it, totally confused. He had NO idea what it was as his mother only made potatoes from a box. His idea of vegies were what you found in TV dinners. His tastes have broadened since then. Spices I am not as adventurous with. I am not fond of cumin or curry spices. I love cinnamon and will put it on almost everything. Garlic in any shape or form is also big in my cooking.

I will try and catch up and when the renovations are done I will post some pictures. Hope everyone has a good evening.

Prices sure are up everywhere. Gas went up 50 cents a gallon since I filled up on Sunday. Ridiculous. I buy a few items at the grocery store and it is $25 easy. When will the madness stop. Long term this not sustainable.

I went to the house today thinking the stager would be there at 1 pm. The real estate agent told me that she was running an hour or more behind. I told him I had to get back to my Ds's before the snow got going. So, I had to leave the house before the stager came. She got the key from the lockbox and I have been watching them on my outside camera. I can see what they are up to. I have Friday off so I will go to the house and check out what she did. I mindlessly left an open can of seltzer on my dining room table and forgot to take it. Oh well, she can dump it if she wants to, The real estate agent is in town so he can help her out if she needs it. I hope to tour a condo a couple of towns over either Friday or Saturday. It looks interesting so we shall see. I can't tell if it is for me until I see it.

I saw my therapist last evening. She makes me think and comes up with some interesting points. I have been really ruminating on why Chris made the decision not go to the doctor. I really want the real reason why. She asked me why it was important to me. Then she asked me to think about various scenarios on why he made the decision he did and think about them. I have a couple of scenarios that seem equally possible so now I will think about them and journal about them. I just wish Chris would somehow tell me why. It would be easier!

Have a nice evening.

Thanks, everyone. Dad rescheduled for next week. He'll decide in the morning whether he needs to see his primary.

I am so happy to hear a positive remodel report, Taz. We have sunflower dish towels. I love the paw print coaster, too! Years ago, and lol I mean years ago as in back in the early 90's, I had a T shirt with paw prints that said "I Love My Dog" on it.

Hug, Snowysmom and always extra love and prayer my friend. I truly am so thankful you do feel comfortable with your therapist and are so courageous to keep seeing her as well.

I hope your Dad is ok, Mona. I said prayers for him tonight.

Snowysmom, I’m glad you’re seeing some different condos soon.

Taz, you’ve gotten so much accomplished! That must be a great feeling!

Easyas, hopefully you survived the OSHA class! 🥱

Carol, I like the sound of that yoga class. Your retirement really sounds nice.

Doctors appt went well, and as predicted! And Mexican pasta tasted the same as last night. :lmao: We were going to go out but we wound up with a hearty snow coming down late in the afternoon so we decided to just lay low. Thankfully there was no accumulation, really. It was just wet.

Good night, all. 🐣

Big hug and thank you, dear Pea. That means (and YOU always mean) a lot to me :)

Amazon customer service truly is exemplary sometimes. We had ordered a pack of Glad Cling Wrap. We got something called Glad Cling N Seal which we never heard of but should be perfectly fine. I did a chat with Amazon making it very clear that I was NOT complaining or asking for anything. I simply wanted them to know we were surprised by what we got. The rep insisted on refunding us and allowing us to keep the item. Truly an unexpected blessing indeed. I always like to try and share positive customer service experiences :)

Sweet dreams to all!

Good morning. It is 23 degrees with about 2 inches of snow on the ground. The temp is expected to go up to the upper 40s today. The should take care of some of the snow. The next few days should take care of the rest.

Thank you Carol for the title of that devotion book. I got it yesterday and started reading a few entries. It is very supportive and I do cry reading some of it but it does make me feel that maybe I am not quite as alone in this life as I have been feeling.

Time for coffee before work.

Have a good day.

Happy Thursday everyone :jester:.

Still could out here but it's supposed to be nice this afternoon. Friday night into Saturday morning 3" of snow is expected. Of course I work Friday night so I'll be driving home in all of the mess. :cold:

I really like the Cling N Seal wrap. I think it seals around the edges much better than the cling wrap.

Had my Survivor night last night. My sister lives about an hour north of me so we were texting about the show while we were watching. She's the only other Survivor fan in the family. I ordered a steak hoagie from the local pizza place and got comfy on the couch with my dogs for the premier. :happytv:

I think one of my dogs had a stomachache last night. I noticed when she went outside she didn't want to come in when the other one did so she stayed out and kept eating grass. When she did finally come in, she just laid down and looked pitiful. I figured I would have a mess in the morning to clean up so before I went to bed, I told her if she felt sick to wake me up. Wouldn't you know she woke me up at 3:30 to go outside. :thumbsup2 She seemed better this morning before I left for work, she came in from outside when I called her and she was ready for her morning treat. :dog:

Well, back to work. Have a great day!

Good morning all. Sun is up, temp is 28 and we are going to 50. Into the 60's tomorrow, then a potential winter storm on Saturday with snow. Yuck!

Haven't watched Survivor yet. Wanted to get through the next to last night of the Bachelor train wreck. What a moron Clayton is!

Laundry is in, dishes are done, dinner will be leftovers tonite so I can clean out the fridge.

Hope your Dad is feeling better @flyingdumbo127,,said and will be saying prayers for him

Have a great Thursday everyone!

We are home. It was a nice get away, but not as freeing as I had hoped. I thought it would get our mind off things but, I guess that is just not possible:mad:

Today, will be laundry and putting things away from our road trip. Tomorrow DH has more scans and tests.. I'm really afraid of what the results will show. I am really feeling at a loss on how to deal with all of this.

So sorry to hear this, dazed. Please PM me if there’s anything I can do to help. 🙏🏻

We had similar trouble with Toto last night, too. He kept wanting to go out but wouldn’t do anything. His tummy sounded a little grumbly. We were up and down/out several times. Ugh. He finally settled down toward the morning. He hardly ever does that so I felt bad, thinking something must’ve just felt off for him, but who knows. (We have had a skunk in our yard, too.) Thankfully he’s good today. Hope your doggie is, too!

That's weird about the doggie tummy aches. Our cat seemed to have one, too, on Tuesday. - She was just acting super cuddly/needy and puked once (but all food, not a hairball like I'd expect) and was also fine the next morning. Strange pattern, but I'm glad they all seem better!

Good morning.

Nothing going on today. Doing laundry. Planned and prepped chicken for dinner and froze the rest.

We had our book group last night and picked book for the end of April. Seeing as it is a church group, we all get busy around Easter. Going to discuss, Good Enough and Lilac Girls.

Thank you Carol for the title of that devotion book. I got it yesterday and started reading a few entries.
Which one did you get?

I will try and catch up and when the renovations are done
Sounds like your house will be so nice when completed.

I hope to tour a condo a couple of towns over either Friday or Saturday. It looks interesting so we shall see.
:wizard: Fingers crossed that its the right one

I really like the Cling N Seal wrap. I think it seals around the edges much better than the cling wrap.
We would suggest it to patients that needed to keep stitches dry.

Had my Survivor night last night.
So many twists and advantages and immunities to keep straight. I felt bad for Jackson but if a certain medication kept him out, you would think that there would be a list of things that precluded you from applying.

I told her if she felt sick to wake me up.
Hope she is better. I read once that a sound for an alarm clock that could really get you to jump out of bed was the sound of a dog retching.

Dryer is buzzing, got to go.

Good Morning,

Thank you all so very much for your extra prayers for my dad. Thank God, Thanks to God, of course, dad is so much better this morning! We are so humbly grateful! He's going to take it easy at home today, another blessing to all this! :)

Our Old Navy package surprised us by being right outside our door earlier when dad brought in his daily newspaper. Wonderful service! Dad is happy with the three things he ordered and I like my long sleeve T, too.

:hug:Snowysmom, you absolutely are never alone. What devotional did you get? I need to check into the two Carol recommended to us as well. I would like an extra to complement Jesus Calling.

Thank you for the Cling n Seal info, Footballmouse! I'm very glad to hear it works well for you, my friend. Sounds like it will be just fine indeed. I agree that sometimes Cling Wrap doesn't quite "cling." Dogs one ither side while watching TV sounds like such a cozy way to enjoy an evening! Today would have been Champ's 33rd birthday! I told him earlier I am sure he is enjoying an extra treat and celebration in Heaven. Champ came into our lives just shortly after he was 2 months old. Prayers your dog indeed is all recovered.

Thanks, dear Lynn, pluto: brought me a smile, too. Please stay warm! Your weather has sure been ☃

Big :grouphug: and much 🙏Dazed. Please PM me, if ever you would like an extra listening ear and hug by PM! Please know we are here and care, my friend.

Oh no! Poor Toto, Pea. I sure hope he's feeling himself this morning. Thank you, always, for your kind care to us all!

I hope your cat is all well, too, PollyannaMom! So hard when any of our furry loved ones are ill. I pray you have a cozy and good day, too, my friend.

Carol, I would love to attend the book discussions if I lived out there. Enjoy and thank you again for the devotional recommendations. I forgot to ask earlier, are the books paperback or hardcover or do they come in either form? Thank you :)

Waving hi back to you, Easyas, I hope your meeting is going quickly and smoothly.

Happy Thursday to all🌺
