DS was finally able to keep some water and saltines down, and they sent us home around 2:00. By the time we got back here and settled in, I got about 3 1/2 hours sleep, so I'm hoping for a nap this afternoon. DS was up for a bit, able to keep his needed pills down, and is now back asleep. 🙂 Thank you all for the prayers and good wishes!

Lynn, the raccoon story made me laugh, and I love today's quote.

Good morning.

I am sitting here sweating and trying to get up the energy to shower. I watered my embarrassment of a garden for a long time last night to soften the ground then went out first thing this morning and pulled all of the weeds. Filled the big roll out trash can. Now I can see my marigolds, 2 tomato plants, 2 sunflowers, and 4 zinnia. Pretty sad showing for planting 2 rows of zinnias twice and a row of sunflowers twice, from seed, which I have done successfully before. I also planted some vinca plants in a pot so there is some color.

Pollyannamom and Lynn, I am glad your "patients" are showing some improvement.

Good morning(afternoon...lol) everyone. Been meaning to pop in to comment but keep getting distracted, I have my 5 yr old niece here for a few days and she's a handful....lol Most of the time she's on my phone playing a game so I decided to pop on the laptop to check in.

Still without hot water....had a virtual visit with a plumber yesterday morning, after a no show virtual visit on Saturday.... :sad2: Just waiting for the approval from the home warranty company so the plumbers can buy a new heater and get it installed. I've been boiling water to wash dishes and going up to my dads house to shower. Thank goodness we live on the same street...DDs been toughing it out with cold water showers....:scared: I don't know how she does it, I tried over the weekend after I had done some cleaning so I was HOT and could only rinse off, it was soo cold. LOL Hopefully we get the new unit by the end of the week.

Thursday I'm taking my niece home. Friday night, I'm helping a friend do some flower arrangements for an anniversary party he got hired to do. Saturday morning, we'll be doing the set-up at the venue. After that, other friend and I are driving up to San Francisco to meet up with our hubbies for the week. They've been gone all of last week, this week and will be there all next week without coming home so we already miss them. My birthday is Sunday, so we'll celebrate up there....DH said he has already made a reservation for that day.

Still thinking good thoughts and prayers for everyone that needs them....:grouphug:

Pollyannamom and Lynn, I am glad your "patients" are showing some improvement.

He is quite a bit perkier today, and has been able to eat little bits. Fingers crossed we are finally on the road out of this episode.

Bad news is, the specialist the PCP wanted to send him to is booked til almost the end off August! We are on a wait list if someone cancels.

@Kirby..your crepe myrtles are beautiful! We have some that color, but they aren't that big, we also have some purple ones

@PollyannaMom Sorry to hear the specialist is booked, but glad he is home and feeling a little better

@flyingdumbo127 Mona--great news on your Dad!

@AuntieMe3--I hope they were able to get a new hot water tank in for you. And I hope you have a good time visiting with your friend and your hubbies in San Francisco!

@Breezy_Carol- I hear you on the dry garden and lawn. I managed to till between the rows and weedwacked inside and outside the garden fence before I left this morning. I watered around 6 am, but everything is dry again. We need rain!

Oh..and I picked our first 2 cucumbers this morning..having one with my dinner..can't wait for the tomatoes to start ripening!

I am finally home. They really worked him today. Had 2 hours of OT this morning, and 2 hours of PT this afternoon. Morning was clean up, dress, etc and then work the arm..PT was walking the 30 foot thing 3x (that's 3x more than yesterday), standing on the rail thing holding on with one arm (that bad arm is really slowing things down). They gave us a 'tentative' discharge date of next Tuesday, but I don't see that happening until he can move that arm more and put more than 10 lbs of weight on it. He was so tired after PT that he zonked out for a nap.

Its 92 out..I fed all the cats, inside and outside, put the litterboxes out to soak, put fresh ones down , put in a load of laundry and gathered trash for tomorrow. Now I am tired and ready to find something to eat.

Have a nice evening!

Just a quick pop on to say “hi” and to give the thread a bump.

flyingdumbo-glad to hear your dad was able to score some items at Old Navy

lynxstch-sounds like things are really moving in a positive direction for your husband

pollyannamom- continued prayers your son improves and they are able to figure out what is happening so a solid plan can get in place for him

kirby- what a pretty tree

auntieme- sounds like a fun time with your niece but not so much with the no hot water. Hope they get it fixed soon

Its been very humid here the last two days and more humidity and mugginess is on the schedule through the end of this week.

I am still having issues with the page “jumping” but wonder if it’s because I’m on a tablet. Does anyone have the same issue using a desk top?

Ran several errands today and tomorrow I’m hoping to get the kitchen and pantry in some sort of order…we shall see. You know what they say…the best laid plans…

Just thinking of Tina and hope all is well for her…hello Tina if you are reading.

Hey Frog, I had just a little jumping/shaking moves on my laptop but more ad issues than anything. No ads right now though.

Ran a couple of errands today and worked in the office. Dinner was supposed to be chicken tacos but DD and Lou Lou were not home for dinner, DH went to look at a job and got home late. So the two of us opted to go to Snuffers instead. They make the best hamburgers and cheesy fries around.

Finished the Longmire series on Netflix. Hated to see it end. Now to find another one to watch.

Good morning all!

@Kirby said "Just thinking of Tina and hope all is well for her…hello Tina if you are reading. " We are all hoping she is well too, haven't seen her on the boards since April 23, if what I found was right? That's a long time!

Its 63 out now, but only going to be 82 today,,that will be a little relief from the heat
When I talked to Mr L around 9, he said he had eaten all of his dinner (minus the Sprite zero, yuck). Have to talk to them again today about that. They have 'diabetic' listed on the dietary menu's they keep bringing up, and that's the one thing he is not, is diabetic,,duh!

He also said for the first time, his arm didn't hurt. Don't know if it's because he hadn't moved it much, or that he did move it in OT and PT and it was helping. I hope for the latter!

Off to feed the cats and take the trash out before getting a shower and having a piece of toast or something

Forgot to mention..I used a Bento lunchbox :)- yesterday -to put 2 frozen ice packs in for Mr L's arm (imagine that, a hospital that doesn't have frozen ice packs?), and it kept them frozen all day long, and were still partially frozen when I got home, even though he had used one of them!

Have a nice day everyone!

Sad to say we are back in the ER.

But they are definitely admitting him this time, so he will be seen by the on-call specialist at some point once we're upstairs in the regular hospital section.

I think he has finally fallen back to sleep, so I'm being super quiet. Glad I threw the iPad in the bag this time!

So sorry to hear this. Hope the specialist can find the problem. Sending even more prayers. Keep us updated please!

Good morning.

@PollyannaMom, so sorry your DS is back in the ER. I hope they find some answers soon.

@lynxstch, glad DH is moving in the right direction now.

@frog3101, glad you have you as a regular poster in our group.

Last night DH and I went out to dinner at a nice restaurant right on the Susquehanna River. An old friend of mine, we went to my high school prom together 50 years ago, invited us and another couple to celebrate 20 years since he had a life altering stroke. If his wife had not been there when he went down, he probably would not be here today. He invited his oldest friends to go celebrate with him as he feels we struck with him in the hard times. BTW, His wife Mary Jo is a romance novelist and gave me a copy of her book that is to be released next week.

Nothing on the agenda today except dance lesson.
