Continued prayer for your DH, Lynn and you! :)

Happy Wednesday to all of you. When I first got up, I thought it was Thursday. Haven't gotten day mixed up since last year when that used to happen often due to the more heaviness/uncertainty at the time of the pandemic!

I've also been thinking lately extra of Tina and sure pray she is well and will check in with us sometime soon.

Green tape came yesterday and is great, exactly the right green color. Dad and I will put up the first (there are three total sections of paper in my room) smallest section of new green paper over the weekend. I'll definitely take a picture.

I'm DVR-ing Christmas Cookies this morning on Hallmark, one Christmas movie I don't remember seeing. Or maybe the idea of Christmas cookies just sound tasty :D

Hugs to all for a good day🌸

When I talked to Mr L around 9, he said he had eaten all of his dinner (minus the Sprite zero, yuck). Have to talk to them again today about that. They have 'diabetic' listed on the dietary menu's they keep bringing up, and that's the one thing he is not, is diabetic,,duh!
My mom's podiatrist could never get through his head that she wasn't a diabetic. It was the same thing in the hospital and rehab/nursing home before she died. Her diet wasn't restricted but it seemed like every time I turned around I was telling someone she was not a diabetic.

Sad to say we are back in the ER.
Continued prayers......

I finally got my Purslane in the ground. It's my favorite summer flower, always so bright and cheery. Plus it's low maintenance!

PollyannaMom - I hope they get to the bottom of your sons health problems soon, how frustrating and upsetting all this must be for him and you guys.

Lynxstch - glad your husband is doing well in the rehab facility

Hello everyone, hope everyone else is doing well. I've been swamped and well, to be brutally honest when NOT swamped the last thing I'm doing is getting on the computer! I've been daydreaming of a few days without people or internet or cell phone coverage. ahhhhhhh I think I may need to treat myself to just such a few days at some point in the next few months!

Youngest popped home today thru tomorrow, getting chinese take away for dinner this evening. It has been eons since any of us have had it. Weather reports say might get a bit of a t-storm this afternoon, we'll see. We really do need the rain.

Thank you for contacting Corey, Lynn!

Much continued prayer for your DS and an extra hug to you, PollyannaMom.

What beautiful and bright flowers, Kirby 🌷

Good to see you, Easyas! Seems like it's been a while. Hugs, I think you should take a media break. Just always remember we're here and care.

Wishing all of you a good rest of the afternoon.

@pollyanna Mom Sending prayers to you, your DS, DH and FIL. I hope they find out the cause and he can feel better soon.

@lynxstch. Glad to hear your DH is doing well in rehab. He will come home stronger and more able to get around. Hopefully they will give him some exercises to do at home to keep up his strength.

@FlyingDumbo Looking forward to seeing pictures of the walls once they are done. Green is such a soothing color.

It is a quiet sunny day here. They said thunderstorms but I think my area is between the storms. We got our walk in today. My lower right back and side of my hip have been a bit sore lately. I partially tore the hip abductor years ago and it acts up now and then. Plus the soreness goes to the ligaments on the side of my knee. The best thing is walking and yoga. I think my mattress is getting old and soft so time to shop for a new one. That can be part of the problem. Plus it is probably time for new shoes. Soreness always reminds me to get some new shoes going. Everything gets out of alignment if my shoes are not supportive. Or maybe I am just getting old! LOL!

Happy Wednesday.

I am finally home. Sister in Law had to make a stop at Walmart, and of course it always takes her forever in the 'buzzy cart' thing. I picked up some cat food, bananas, 3 nectarines, litter and some lunch meat, and a couple of other little things. Then she had to stop at CVS and the one she uses always has such a line. Took her daughter 30 min to go in and get 5 scrips that were ready. I use our small one downtown, and almost never wait more than 2 minutes..lol

It got to 92, then got cloudy like it was going to storm, but did nothing, temp is down to 83 now.

Mr L did well at OT and PT today, but I still don't see him being able to get himself out of a chair only using one arm by next Tuesday, we shall see. Stepdaughter is up there now visiting and she just texted me and said her hubby would be willing to come over and install at least one handrail by the back door. We only have 1 step..and have a grab bar installed on the house on the right..but nothing on the left to help him get up the step if he had to. I told her to ask her hubby to come and look and see what he can come up with. I am also still considering the portable ramp from Amazon, but have to make sure that he can get up it with his cane or a walker, for at least the time being after he comes home.

Off to feed some starving furbabies and then myself..oh and I was a clutz this morning . I was taking the trash down to the street, and didn't see a black walnut laying in the driveway..stepped right on it, lost my balance and fell backwards. Got a bruise on my butt, and on my lower back where I hit the ground,,but nothing major. Didn't break anything, didn't hit my head,,and noone saw it happen, lol. I will have to remember to look for those darn things, as they are falling off the tree very early this year!

@Kirby,,I really hope your son feels better soon. Its so hard not knowing exactly what is wrong and how they are going to treat it. And I finally got it through their heads today that hubby is NOT diabetic,,stood there while they called dietary and had it removed from his meal planning, and made them go and get him a real coke (just a 4 oz one) and not a diet one! He's been eating little enough while he's there, if he wants a coke, then he gets a coke, even if I have to bring one up from the cafeteria!

@easyas123 Nice to see you posting. I think after a almost a year and a half of Covid, we all need a few days to unplug from everything and just relax. I hope all of us can do that sometime soon!

Have a nice evening all!

Green tape came yesterday and is great, exactly the right green color. Dad and I will put up the first (there are three total sections of paper in my room) smallest section of new green paper over the weekend. I'll definitely take a picture.
Looking forward to seeing your green!

@Kirby,,I really hope your son feels better soon.
You've got me mixed up with Pollyannamom, That's okay, you've had some looong days.

DD has herself a boyfriend I believe. She's been hanging out with a guy she met online a lot lately. They're not official, she's going to make him ask to be her boyfriend. We haven't met him yet.

Dinner tonight was chicken taco salad.

Good evening.

Thanks for all the health updates.

I ordered 5 dresses online from Macy's trying to find "the one" for the wedding. Will try on and return a bunch.

Dinner tonight was a Blue Apron meal - grilled chicken thighs and panzanella. As usual, it was very good.

Watching the Biden townhall with DH.

Thank you, Snowysmom. The green should definitely lighten and calm the space up. Oh no! Prayers you feel better. Good, comfortable shoes are so important indeed. I hope you find some good news ones soon :)

Hugs, PollyannaMom. That is a relieving update to hear. Thank you for keeping us updated. Prayers all of you get a good night’s rest.

I hope you take care, Lynn! Sorry to hear about your fall :( Love it! If your DH wants a Coke, especially after all he’s been through, he should have two :) Thank you again for contacting Corey. I only see the small ads right now, too. Big improvement for sure.

Hugs, Pea and get some rest both if needed online and in general!

Thanks, Kirby. I hope you will get to meet your DD’s new boyfriend soon and that he turns out to be a keeper.

Shopping, especially for dressier clothes is exhausting Carol. Smart to get multiple choices to try on at home. I’m sure whatever you choose will be lovely.

I never did get into the movie Christmas Cookies at all earlier. Maybe I just needed to also be enjoying such cookies while watching :D

Sweet Dreams, friends.

Hello! I'm still here, even though I haven't posted. I kind of skimmed the last oh... 20 pages or so... Ha! But if you want to update me on anything, feel free! I did catch a few of the medical/health updates, but probably not all of them... UGH! Too much going on for all of you, is the gist of what I read!

Tomorrow is my Friday, and then after that I'm off until Aug. 2nd! Friday I take my mom to her second follow up following her cataract surgery, which went really well. She was seeing better and felt like normal the very next day, even even drove that evening, already.

Then, next week.... Cue Children's Musical Week of Craziness!!

Every summer for the last 10+ years (except for last year, obviously) my church has done a community children's musical. For the last few years, I've been one of two co-directors under the main director. And even before that, my role was basically the same, but my "title" got a promotion. Ha! I'll still argue that the title of co-director gives me too much credit, but no one else seems to think that.

Up until 2019, we'd always done weekly rehearsals starting in May. Leadership has also been consistent.

2020 was supposed to be our transition year. The main director and the other co-director both decided to step down (nothing to do with church leadership or a bad experience with the musical or anything. They just decided it was time to move on.) but they were going to still help me and the new co-director and director through the first year. But then... you know. COVID.

This year, with the continued uncertainty of COVID, we decided to change the format. So the kids got their parts in early June and have been working on their own, with a couple of check-ins, which have, thankfully, gone pretty well. Then, next week, we'll put it all together in on week, in a "boot camp" format. (though we are NOT calling it that! Ha! We're calling it a "workshop") We'll meet every day from 9 AM to noon, with main characters staying until 1:30. So here's to hoping the kids who DON'T have main parts have ALSO been working on their music! We'll also introduce about 1/2 the choreography, which we had to come up with all on our own this year. And then we'll do two performances on Friday. So.... yeah. New format, new leadership, with no "transition" year and a year off in between. I'm both excited to be "back at it" and trying not to freak out all at the same time!

Also, if I come on here in the evenings and post things that seem completely random, bordering on incoherent, I might just be trying to maintain my sanity by being a bit silly and/or venting, with "groanings which cannot be uttered." You have been warned.

Good evening to all.

Good to “see“ both of you Allison Joy and Easyas123
Allison, the musical sounds like a lot of fun with a little stress in the mix. Hoping it all goes as well as it can with all changes. I’ve done our churches Christmas play for a few years and while it’s fun and always comes together, I am sure the stress leading up to the day causes a rise in my blood pressure.

Pollyanna-continued prayers for your son and you.

lynxstch- sounds like things are going well, prayers things stay the course and he keeps improving.

flyingdumbo- have fun decorating your space, looking forward to pictures.

pea-n-me- hope you find some rest and much deserved relaxation.

We started the pantry clean out and decided we need new containers for organization, so now it’s in even worse shape than when we started. We just shoved all the stuff back in with no rhyme or reason until we can get the containers. :rolleyes1

Our weather is supposed to be oppressive heat through the end of next week. Hoping our AC will hold out. It shoukd, just it’s not really the right size for our old uninsulated house and runs constantly when things get this hot. I always fear it will just up and quit on us.
I have noticed a few less “jumps” in my screen and a few less ads. Thanks to those who reported the issue. I’m still pondering an ad blocker to see if that helps even more.
Good night and happy dreams to all.

I am happy I am not having screen problems. That would make me crazy! Lol.

We went to a family reunion last weekend. I never got a chance to post about it. It was so nice to see everyone and be back in the area where I grew up. We have a couple of milestone bday parties coming up, too, next week, for special people in our family. We are hosting one of them, so I’ve been busy with that planning. Making an Italian feast.

The Covid (Delta variant) cases coming back have me on edge. Especially in people who are vaccinated. Our doctor even brought it up to DH the other day. (We are vaccinated, but it was just general talk, I guess.) I’m afraid things could be going back to how they were, especially in hospitals and the like. Oy. Like everyone else, I was so hopeful we were past it. 😓

Happy moment of my week was when I took a patient I originally wasn’t supposed to take and he wound up telling me the most amazing story about an experience he had had that had special meaning to me. I feel like it was somehow meant to be, and I was meant to hear that story at that moment, to sort of keep me going. I like when that happens!

Wishes of good health for everyone, and healing for those who need it. :flower3:

Good morning all. Coolish 59 now, and going to 78 or 80, we'll take it as a break!

@Pea-n-Me Sounds like a fun time was had at the family reunion. That was a really nice 'happy moment of your week', glad it is helping keeping you going! And like you, the new Delta variant has me worried about the hospital changing it's policy. If they go back to no visitors, that is really going to slow hubby's progress, as it will make him depressed and not want to work at it so hard. Hopefully we can get him back in good shape and home, before any of that happens. The first county over from us in WV is Mineral County, and they have their first confirmed case of it, as of yesterday. :(

@Breezy_Carol..better to have too many dresses to choose from , than not being able to find any! Hope you find one that you feel is 'the one' soon!

@allisonjoy glad to see you back and posting

@frog3101 glad to see you are still with us..we seem to keep losing people off our post, nice to see some fairly new names and people posting!

Have a nice morning everyone!
