@lynxstch So sorry you guys are having such a hard time with DHs care. Big
for you.
Got home yesterday afternoon to some nice hot, summer rain. It's been awhile since it's rained more than a little drizzle here, I'm in the desert remember. Didn't last long but it was nice....love a summer storm. We were a little hot and muggy until the wind blew the clouds away, then it was just hot the rest of the evening. We ended up over at our friends for the evening, swimming in the pool and ordered pizza for dinner. DD had been at the beach all day with friends but she came by for a dip in the pool when she got home and then we all went home together not to long after that.
This morning, DH and I went to breakfast with our friends(like I said in another post we spend A LOT of time together. LOL) and the rest of the day has been spent lounging. DH has to go back out of town for work this coming week but I'm staying home this time.
Something exciting to look forward to, I read about Disneyland(well California Adventure) doing their Halloween party again this year, so Dd and I decided to go. Tickets go on sale Tuesday so I'll get our tickets then and we plan on getting a hotel room for the night after the party. I'm not thrilled about the price, but we really want to go so we just doing it. The first one we went to maybe 10/12 years ago was $25, the last time we went 6/7 years ago was $50...the cheapest day were looking at is $114...
Crazy but it should be a nice night with low crowds compared to a regular day.

GOOD for you for reporting all this to the patient advocate on Monday! You might also consider compiling your notes and sharing them with the hospital director.

Happy Anniversary!
Yep. My motto is: "I'm older, I'm smarter, and I have infinitely more patience."
Happy Anniversary!
I know this is all really hard for you. Was actually thinking of you this morning when I had to call a security code. One of our patients had taken his metal drawers out of his bedside table and thrown them at us, then picked up the whole nightstand and threw it across the room. This was after calling us unprintable names that would make a sailor blush the entire shift and demanding we bring him things. I had to stay there to deal with security personnel and administrators, etc. which took me away from my patients. Very challenging today in hospitals. When you speak to administrators, ask them for the staffing numbers on the shifts you had issues with, ie what they are supposed to have and what they actually had, which will help determine whether problems there are chronic, or whether they were acute. Best of luck.
