@lynxstch, continued prayers to you and DH.
@tazdev3225, Congratulations to you and your DH! I enjoyed seeing your photos and reading about your wedding memories. (BTW, I didn't wear a veil either. Just a pretty barrette on one side.) And I'm so very sorry to hear about your doctor. What a shock for everyone.
I woke up at 5:30 this morning with vertigo again. So I'm on the sofa for the day. This time I'm trying to move my head around a lot, in case it is crystals in the ear canal, but now I'm hearing that it might be due to hormonal changes at "that" time of life. Or I wonder if it could be the incessant rain we're having...I am sensitive to the barometer, and when I stand up it feels like something is pressing down on my head. Ugh.
We had fun on the fire station tour on Saturday morning with Josh's tee ball team. His coach is a firefighter, so we got to see everything - except where the fire pole starts on the second floor; he didn't want any kids sneaking off to go down it

It was supposed to be 1/2 an hour but we took a full hour. It was really nice of him to do that for the kids; I hope we see him again soon - as a coach, not a firefighter, that is
We went to my MIL's afterward and Josh was excited to see that she found a digital scale that still works. He finally hit 40 lbs! So we converted his 5-point harness car seat to a high-back booster that uses the shoulder belt and he's thrilled. I got on the scale as well and to my surprise, I've lost 10 lbs. since May. Hope that scale is accurate...
Yesterday Josh read enough to get another 50 points on his summer reading chart, so he can get the 2nd prize now. Plus we did even more and he's got another 40 points on top of that. If we can get another 10 points before we're at the library on Wednesday or Thursday, he can get both the 2nd and 3rd prizes.
Not a fan of snakes either myself. We have a reptile zoo here; before it opened, the owner and/or handlers went to Josh's preschool and had a program at the library (pre-COVID) with some of the snakes. I wasn't at the preschool but obviously I wen to the one at the library. All of the large snakes they have are discarded pets, so they're relatively tame, but I could barely bring myself to touch one of them with one finger when invited (of course, Josh jumped right in and petted him like he was a cat). I did feel badly when they posted recently that their albino python, Sunny, passed away recently. They guy loves what he does, so I'm sure he felt like we do when we lose a pet.
Need to get up now...3 more hours and I can take another Dramamine (looking forward to it)...
