@dazedx3, Congratulations on your new grandbaby! That is a beautiful name!
I can't remember the last time I had a chance to post...last Monday or Tuesday, maybe? Anyway, I actually just had a really, really good day today. Had a little fun at Kohl's...my MIL's birthday is on Saturday, so I found a very pretty blue polo shirt for her (I just learned this weekend that she prefers collared shirts because they hide her scoliosis - I've been in this family for 12 years and I NEVER knew this!), some clearance shirts for DH in his preferred brand, and for me, a new pair of denim shorts. I'm excited about this because I finally found Bermuda-length shorts after years of finding nothing but short-shorts (or rather, shorter than what I'm comfortable wearing). And the best part is that they are TWO sizes smaller than what I usually wear! I haven't been this size since I was still with my ex (and we split in 2007)!
I don't know if I ever mentioned this, as it's very embarrassing and I've been called a lazy mother by numerous people, but I've been battling my child with the potty for 3 years now. He seemed to like going in his pants and didn't mind being wet and/or dirty. NOTHING we said or did seemed to change his mind. Well, I don't know what suddenly changed, but for almost a week now, he's done all of his #2 in the potty! And he's only had one or two pee incidents (which don't bother me - that's easier to clean than the other

). I'm sorry I'm so excited about this, but I can't help myself. It's been a long time coming and I'm very proud of him. (He also brought home an excellent report card today as well, so I'm definitely having a Proud Mama moment
I feel like I've answered the QOTD before, but I think it's that my SIL asked the same question recently in her Color Street group. So my favorite flowers are Gerbera daisies, hibiscus, and black roses. The daisies are big, bright, and spring-ish; the hibiscus is summery and tropical, reminds me of Florida; and black roses for the goth in me that wasn't "just a phase"
ETA: I was going to chime in on the vaccine side effects. My MIL had her 2nd dose last Monday and she was fine afterward. My SIL's mother (a 2x cancer survivor) also had no side effects, but her father (with severe lung issues) got the aches and fever later in the evening. By the same time the following evening, he had fully recovered. A friend of my mother's also reported feeling fatigued after her 2nd dose, and had planned to take an afternoon nap but found she didn't need it. She also felt better within 24 hours. So those are some of the reports I can share
