Full sun and 70 degrees here in Western MD..got his labwork done (noone else in there!), got to Aldi's and Walmart. Both were busy, but not packed. Walked right up to empty registers in both. Picked up a rotisserie chicken for dinner..I am still not 100% after my cold, and did not feel like cooking.
Hubby is still planning on getting his first Moderna vaccine tomorrow, unless he changes his mind tonite. And of course, stepson #2 (totally against the vaccine), messages him this morning and says 'check with your life insurance company, some of them are saying the policy is void if you die within a year of getting the vaccine" Has anyone else heard anything about this? I told stepson to stop sending messages until tomorrow is over,,he's just making it worse

MMM..that sounds delicous..she should love it,,and it's great that they donate to the armed forces when you order. Does your local company have a website and ship outside of state? If so, name please so I can look it up!--I found it...and boy do they look yummy. Might send a couple out as Easter gifts! Thanks!

Hug, Taz Dev, glad you are feeling more at peace and had an understanding friend to talk to. how cool that your kitchen renovations are in the final stretch. I am sorry it was such a struggle to try and get a vaccine appointment for your DH. I do hope the cardiologist can help.

K everyone...who sent me their winter weather?? You need to come take it back please. It is soo cold and windy here today. Only 46 right now for the high and its supposed to snow down to 3000ft tonight....we're at 3500ft. The wind gusts are insane though so thats probably going to everything over us like it usually does. Our local mountains already got 2ft last night.

My car had a recall and the check engine light came on so I had an appt scheduled to drop it off at the dealer this morning. Surprise, surprise for me when it wouldn't start when I was getting ready to leave. LOL Luckily, hubby is working local this week. He was on his way from one job to another so he stopped at home to give me jump and went with me to do the drop off so he got to talk all the technical mumbo gumbo and I didn't have to. LOL Hopefully it's not too pricy of a fix....we still have a warranty on it so hopefully whatever is wrong is covered or it's something to do with the recall, that will be fixed for free.

After I posted yesterday, a nurse called about my symptoms I noted for my Drs appt, wanted to make sure I didn't need to go to ER or at least Urgent Care. She said it didn't sound like I needed to go in right away but I should if I thought it might give me piece of mind until my appt. I felt a little better last night but I can feel it again today....its almost like I can feel my heart fluttering, I have checked my blood pressure when I'm feeling it and its fine but I might still go to Urgent Care this evening...just so they can at least get a reading or something for when I do go to my appointment in a couple weeks.

@AuntieMe3 Sorry you still aren't feeling well. Don't wait until you feel really bad to get checked out please..a fluttering heart is nothing to fool around with! I hope the fix for your car is an easy one, and turns out to be under warranty or under recall..those are always the best solutions! Yikes to your weather. I'll keep our 73 degree weather for a day or 2 and then send it to you,,lol!

Our weather is getting warmer here for a few days. Today it is 48 with a bit of a wind. Tomorrow it is supposed to be near 70. Friday temps are supposed to be around 65. But, over the weekend it will get colder with Sunday temps around 38-40. We knew it wouldn't last. It was nice to walk today without feeling chilled. Jasper really enjoyed his walk as the snowbanks have melted alot and he can jump over them to get to the telephone poles. He does love to sniff.

@Auntie3Me I hope your car fix is covered under the warranty. I hope you feel better soon. If you feel like you need to see someone at Urgent Care it may help you feel better about things until you see your doctor. I had something similar and it turned out to be anxiety for me but it is always best to see your doctor. It started happening when I hit menopause.

Yesterday was a bit of a lost day for me. I got an eye migraine in the early afternoon and even had to stop working for awhile. I have gotten migraines since I was 9 but they have been getting less often as I hit menopause. However I think working on the computer with spreadsheets and numbers I am prone to getting the eye migraines every so often. After the zigzag lines go away I have the migraine headache and feel really tired. Excedrin migraine is a great med for me. I do feel better today.

@lynxstch We talked with our DS who is a physician about the vaccines and he reassured us, especially DH, that they are safe and it was in our best interest to get them. DH tends to get a bit nervous about things so he goes to DS with any questions. For us, we feel confident in the vaccines. We get our second moderna doses in 10 days.

Easyas123, i had not heard of a Smith Island Cake, until I visited the Maryland shore in my 20s, but let me say - they are delicious. I remember ordering them several times from Phillips Seafood house.

When I was a teenager they opened a Chinese sit down fancy Restaurant in my hometown. We had like 8 Family Italian restaurants, 1 mom and pop diner, and a ponderosa steakhouse. That was about all, so this was a fun new place. Somehow, my friends and I started saying “we are going to eat Chinese tonight”. Thus, I continue to say it and it drives my Hubbie crazy. He says i certainly hope you aren’t eating people !!

Had a nice lunch from CFA. Then took a hike in Fair Hill, 2.3 miles. So nice to get back out there on familiar trails.

So far, so good since the vaccine but its only been 6 hours. Drinking Gatorade like crazy and took some Advil.

Sorry to hear that. I have had several ocular migraines over the years but thankfully mine did not go into a headache, just the visual disturbance. The first time I got one I thought I was having a stroke. Very scary but DH could diagnose me.

Not sure it drives DH crazy but he makes fun of me. I say "Geeze Louise" a lot. He wonders who Louise is and jokes that if we ever got another dog we should name it Louise.

@AuntieMe3, aren't you somewhere up north? If so, you'll have to blame us down south. Moisture is coming off of the Gulf big time and sending lots of snow up into the Rockies.

Hope you find out something soon before you get to see your doctor. I was having heart issues back in August, it was not fun and sort of scary.

@Snowysmom, the zig zag line you are talking about does it move across you line of vision sort of shimmering? I get that sometimes but my eye doesn't hurt, just my vision is a little off. Talked to the eye doctor about it but it wasn't anything serious.

I'm feeling much better today. My doctor prescribed a nasal spray and it has done wonders for me. Looks like I am good to go on my SIL trip tomorrow!

Good news! DS and fiance have a contract on a house!

Anytime my husband walks in the house or even a room and no one is in his line of sight, he says....Hello? Where is everyone? Where did you guys go? It makes me and DD crack up and we've started doing it now to tease him....we'll follow him wherever he is and say Hello....in a funny voice. I don't know why but it annoys him, even though he started it.

I'm in Southern California. I am in the high desert region so cold weather at this time isn't strange for our area but it was just warming up so nice, I was really looking forward it.

You’ve probably already done it, but watch your caffeine. Drinks, yes, but also make sure there isn’t anything else you’re ingesting that might have hidden sources of caffeine or caffiene-like subtances. Sleep difficulties can also mess with your hormones, which can contribute to feelings like that. Alcohol can affect it, too. There are many other potential causes.

If you have a newer Apple Watch they have a handy feature which is a heart rhythm strip. DD got one as a graduation present to herself, but when she started having palpitations, it was helpful in identifying some irregularities. She was referred to a cardiologist and she does have a slight arrhythmia, but they’re just watching it right now. They also sell this device on Amazon which is similar.

Good morning QUACK'ers! Going to be another 70 degree day. Hubby has been awake since 3, his nerves are getting the best of him I think. I told him after his shot, he can come home and go to bed for a couple of hours and destress. He asked for homemade meatballs with spaghetti for dinner, so I will make those while he sleeps. I want to do a few more light Spring cleaning things while it's still nice. One more nice day tomorrow..then back to the mid 50's for the next 10 days. Will be back later on with more
