Quarantine and chill and kindness chatty clubhouse: Jump in and join the conversation! All is welcome!

Good morning! Another cold 20 degree morning going to a high of 42. Then the big warm up begins, I can't wait! I don't get sick often, usually just one full blown cold a year, and I guess this is it. I got some sleep last nite, after taking a hot bath, tylenol pm earlier, and some nyquil later. Hopefully it will be going away by tomorrow, if like usual.

No plans for the day. Sister in law is stopping by after church to bring us some Irish sausage they found at Martins. Our local one didn't have any. They only get it once a year, so we get a few pkgs to freeze. I told her to just have niece bring it to the door, take the money I left for her, knock and then leave. I am not going outside to stand there and talk for 30 minutes like we usually do. I plan on doing nothing most of the day.

Have a nice morning everyone!

Great news!! Our 2nd grand daughter was born last night at home (not planned):worship: They are both healthy and at a medical facility now.
First DD she made it to the hospital and baby was born an hour later, this time they didn't make it at all. It was kind of scary, but everything turned out great. Her name is Margot Marie.

Good Morning, friends,
:goofy:Has the right idea in your Sunday picture, Lynn, continue to take care, my friend and feel better!

Congratulations Grandma DazedX3! Praise God both Mom and baby are healthy. Such good news to come on here to. I also like her name.

Happy Sunday to all.

@dazedx3 Congrats on the new grandbaby. Glad everyone is healthy and happy. She has a lovely name.

@lynxstsch Hope you feel better soon.

Allergies are starting here a bit which is strange. I heard on the weather channel that you should start taking allergy med in late February to get a head start on the Spring pollen. With the temps going over 60 this week it will start up. I started the claritin last week.

We got to see 2 of the DGS yesterday. We were at older DS house. We all wear masks. It is nice to be able to interact with the kids and have some sense of normalcy, such as it is. We videochatted with the other 3. Older DGD counted to 100 for us. She gets the concept of going onto 200 and 300 etc which is great.

I have to stop watching the news channels. I did stop for a while but started up again because I am not comfortable with how things are going so I want to be up to date. All it has done for me is make me stressed, anxious, and have sleep issues. Time to keep it to the weather and Hallmark channels, and old sitcoms. I will go back to just scanning the headlines online once a day and that is it. I think once we get the second vaccine dose I will feel better too. I am very thankful we got appointments already as our state keeps adding groups to the over 65 people. So now the older people have to contend with much younger people in getting the vaccine. As I said before, this should be mainly done by age and comorbidity as you are more at risk for severe illness. We need to mitigate that.

It is sunny today but cold, around 35. It will start warming up this week and be 60 by Thursday. I have to get some housework done today. I am glad to be working 40 hours a week again but I did get alot done when I only worked 24 hours a week.

Afternoon all. I just realized I haven't been on since Wednesday. I did a lot of quick in and outs. Lot of catching up to do.

Hopefully this time next week the kitchen will be at the finishing touches stage. The stove and dishwasher came and the lights are in. We may have to find an adhesive for the flush mounts as they are a slightly different design although they are the same size and the cabinet doors may have to be adjusted down about 1/4 inch. The dishwasher and countertops come on thursday and I have to finally get rid of my old car for the delivery. The car was my aunt's and she died in 2013. It is al I really have left of her as her housekeeper got her to change her will just before she died. That will was through probate before we even knew she had passed away. The housekeeper never called us, my mom tried calling my aunt and obviously there was no answer so we had no idea what was going on. My aunt lived in Cape May so not exactly an easy ride to get there, it's about a 2 hour drive each way. The car has been sitting in my driveway for 2 years because I just couldn't bring myself to get rid of it. The time has come however.

I found out my daughter was exposed to the virus by a co-worker so now I worry about her and her family. My one granddaughter and my son in law are in high risk categories. She did tell me she never took her mask off around her co-workers and they do have partitions at work so hopefully she will be OK.

LJ is over 11 pounds now, he lost almost a pound in the hospital, but gained 1 1/2 pounds in 2 weeks and he is almost 23 inches. He is going to be a big boy.

Having a quiet day, just in one of those moods because I can't do much in the kitchen til the countertops go in. Hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Hooray for Grandkid time, Snowysmom. I hope you feel better! Hug, Hallmark channel is a good news antidote indeed!

Hug and prayers, Taz Dev to you and your daughter, as well for her health! Letting go of something that once belonged to a relative is never easy indeed. Great LJ update :)

I just watched worship and as always so thankful to have gotten to do so.

Wishing all of you a good afternoon.

@lynxstch, hope you are feeling better soon! Mountain Cedar has been tormenting us for about two months now. Ready for it to go.........

@dazedx3, congratulations! Margot Marie, such at pretty name!

Lil Joe had his first t-ball practice today. He was so excited! Let's hope that the weeds in the outfield are not as interesting as the ones on the soccer field. 😄

I just another weird pop up on the community board,,winnocontemporary.com--claimed my Norton had expired, which it is nowhere near doing. I blocked it and am notifying Webmaster Corey

Good evening.

We drove down to Prime Hook Wildlife Refuge on the Delaware Bay. A different refuge we had not been to before. Saw a juvenile eagle and LOTS of snow geese. We'll go back when it isn't so cold. We did walk about 1.5 miles and were quit cold when done.

I finished my most recent puzzle and the book I was reading. Started a new book, this one a mystery for our church reading group. Also, DH found a birthday gift he had forgotten so I do have a new puzzle to start.

Gratitude:
Sunny day
Getting our in nature.
The cantor at our church service today was extra good.

Good morning all. 20 degrees outside again, but today going to mid 50's, 70 by Thursday,,hurry up Spring! Just got that darned pop up again when I came on the DIS community forum. This time it says my McAffee has expired, which I don't even have. Blocked and reported, again. I feel slightly better, still stuffed up, but at least my sore throat is gone. Hubby's started bothering him last nite though.

No big plans for the day. I do need to clean the bathrooms and at least vac the kitchen floor if I feel good enough. 70 degrees coming is going to make me feel like Spring cleaning so I better feel better fast.

@Breezy_Carol your walks sound amazing, you get to see so many great things!

Have a good day, everyone--only 12 more days after today , till the official start of Spring!R2efa13c0a60d5db8105dba19553fefa1.jpg

QOTD: favorite flower and why ?

forgive me if it has already been asked, but if so it’s been awhile and we have several new people. I’m also in an area where it is low 30s this morning and can’t wait till midweek to hit 60s and feel like spring

tulips - i love the first signs of spring and remember my mom’s red and yellow ones in the yard. I plant bulbs in my flower beds by the mailbox, but due to some pesky chipmunks and squirrels they end up randomly throughout my yard.

@lynxstch Do you use an AdBlocker?

Yes adblocker plus. WebMaster Corey is aware of the problem. Some people using adblocker are still getting these random pain in the butt ads, some who don't use them aren't getting them..there is no rhyme or reason to it. Even breezy carol was getting some odd one the other day that others of us weren't getting.

QOTD--without hesitation, my favorite flowers in the world are lilacs. I am so waiting for Spring to burst forth, to have the windows open and have their scent wafting through the house. Will also have vases full of them scattered in various rooms. favorite. I don't know why lilacs are my favorite, but it has been that way since I was a little girl. Lilies of the Valley also have a scent I adore. Roses and peonies also delight my senses
