I just heard from youngest. He got his second shot at noon yesterday. 10 hours later it hit him like a ton of bricks - fever, headache, body aches. 33 hours on from shot he's still feeling it. Taking tylonel, hoping he can sleep off the rest of it tonight. Texted us to warn us about our upcoming second shot and to "be prepared".

Yikes - I hope he feels better soon!

Stopped at CVS, --and I have to do a little promo for the 'Good RX' card. First time we've had his meds filled on Medicare, using Silver Script. 6 of he 9 were no cost. 1 was over $400 (but that also wiped out his deductible.) His other inhaler was $135.99, but I asked the pharmacist about the Good RX thing. I showed him the app on my phone that gave the cost as $55.60. All he had to do was take it out of the computer, put it in again using the Good RX info, and instantly saved us $80.30! Whoo hoo..and now the next time we need to refill it (in 3 months) it will go under the Good RX price. Really worth looking into, even if you have prescription insurance!
I was wondering how Good RX worked. Been getting cards in the mail for years but never have had an opportunity to try and use them.

Oh man! Which vaccine did he receive? Moderna or Pfizer? Probably doesn't matter.

That picture is so cute, Lynn! Sorry you're not feeling well.

Thank you. I feel like I am coming down with a cold, which isn't surprising with the weather changes we have had. Never know what to wear when you go outside. Going to be a high of 42 today, by Thursday we are supposed to be in the 70's. It is also very windy again today.
I have a headache and 'the dizzies'. Hubby woke up at 2 am, said he felt nauseous, and was stuffed up with a headache. We didn't have the same things for dinner last nite, so I don't know what is causing his stomach to feel off . He made homemade mac and cheese with smoked sausage. I had 4 chicken wings, and wasn't that hungry when I ate them. I feel a tad better after sleeping for a couple of more hours, he's still in bed.

We had no plans for the day anyhow. I just wanted to wash the kitchen floor and do the bathrooms, but that can wait. Only must do is strip and remake the bed,,that is a Saturday HAVE TO DO,,lol

Thanks! I'm sure he'll be fine...probably trying to decide where to go fishing this weekend by now!

I also hope your youngest feels much better in the morning, Easyas and that you and your DH, of course, are, too!

So glad you had a treat, PollyannaMom :)

Wishing all of you sweet dreams.

Thanks!

Not feeling so great this morning, neither is hubby

That stinks, hope you guys feel better.

Kirby - he got the Moderna

Good morning everyone. It's sunny sunny sunny here, and slightly windy and chilly. Next weeks temps look very promising, mayube even inching into open the windows and air out the place territory!
So they said we might get a sore arm and/or a bit sick to our stomach after our shots yesterday. Boy is my arm sore! Not going to keep me from doing anything, but kept me from sleeping on that side. I'm hoping that moving it and using it helps - either way I need to so that is what is going to happen. Husband said he had zero soreness, but he did wake up at 2 and didn't come back to bed until 5:30, where he still is - because his stomach was bothering him. Hopefully he is in there sleeping it off.

I think my day will consist of some house keeping chores and a pop out to the local small grocery for a few items. And a stop at the feed store for dog food. Maybe a fire outside tonight - or maybe a movie inside tonight. Not at all sure what dinner will be tonight -

Have a good day -

Good morning.

Sunny, chilly, and breezy. Like @lynxstch and @easyas1231, looking forward to warmer weather at the end of next week. DH and I were just talking about opening the windows and giving the furnace a rest.

Lynn, I hope you and hubby feel better.

I read an article recently that younger people have a more robust immune system therefore have a stronger reaction to the shot. Makes sense.

Planning to go to DD's today and get carry out from Los Machados. I have been craving Mexican.

Good Morning All,

Feel better Lynn! I hope you and your DH get some rest today and indeed start feeling much better! Pooh and friends are so very cure. Love how Piglet is making sure to not miss out on seeing anything :)

I discovered last night that Hallmark has movies On Demand! I was searching through the On Demand guide by channel which I had never done before and found Hallmark, yay some extra movies!

Take care, friends and have a good Saturday!

It's like ya'll are living in my house. The temps are all over the place, though not as cold. DD and DH were both queasy last night after dinner and DD had a headache all day. We all ate the same thing and DS and I felt fine so I know it wasn't the food. All is good so far today.

We had no plans for the day anyhow. I just wanted to wash the kitchen floor and do the bathrooms, but that can wait. Only must do is strip and remake the bed,,that is a Saturday HAVE TO DO,,lol
I like changing my sheets every week also. And making my bed every day. I love a made bed when I get there for the night plus cool sheets and pillow.

That's definitely a bonus.

Thank you, Lynn.

Lol, Carol! :) I'm going to check out Hallmark on Demand right now. Last night I tried watching (again) All of my Heart Inn Love and just could not get into it. I did overall like an older movie All I Want for Christmas. The one thing that did bother me was at the very end the actor proposes to the actress during Christmas Eve worship taking away from our hearing the service.

Good to have some new (to me anyway and I hope all of you with some of them) choices! Absolutely a bonus, Kirby :)

Thanks for handling that Lyn

i got my 2nd shot 6hours ago from the school system, pfizier, arm is heavy to lift up, otherwise okay so far. Drinking tons of water and vitamin water orange with vita C in it..
i also heard young people have more of a reaction after the 2nd shot. What is ”young” ? I’m probably in the mid - age group - 40s. My folks at almost 70 got their first shots in WV yesterday. They are starting to get more doses their and out to people. WV is doing one giant list by age and then they get a call from a pharmacy or health dept. Two aunts mid - 60s got theirs in central Florida a few weeks ago, but had to travel an hour from their town.
Good Luck everyone, I hope by May 1st it will be available to all who want it

I hope you are feeling better, Lynn and that you have had a relaxing Saturday.

Hug, Sparkle, you feel better too, my friend.

Saturday extra gratitude:

I am so enjoying having Hallmark on Demand.
Playing Rack-o and spending extra time with Dad this morning. Truly this time from God both of us in excellent health is precious.
PM's from friends.

Just back from visiting DD. DH and DGD played a game of Guess Who and I played Raccoon Rumpus (an educational game) with her. We had our Mexican food, and carry out margaritas. Yummy.

Gratitudes:
Seeing the family
DD is taking DGD to parking lot Sunday school at our church tomorrow.
Margaritas LOL

Just Googled, Raccoon Rumpus, looks cute :) I so love that your church is offering parking lot Sunday school right now, Carol.

I watched most of Christmas Everlasting earlier On Demand. I enjoyed learning about Alice (sister who passed suddenly) from her friends and how those same friends truly took Lucy (sister from NY) under the wings helping her feel at home in their small town. A neat twist was that Alice had a daughter when she was pretty young that she placed for adoption. We got to meet both the daughter, Maeve, and Maeve's parents. Another homey small town movie that in a way reminded me of all of us right here, how God has brought and kept us all together to cheer and support on another on in friendship. Thanks, friends. Sweet dreams!
