Good morning everyone, hope all is well with you & your families.
I've missed several items of interest, but went back 2 pages in an attempt to catch up!
We have had a keurig for about a year, and know I'm wondering what is going on inside of it! I'm not sure I want to know! We actually got a Keurig for the office that is connected directing to the water line, so there is no need to fill it. Thinking of getting one of those for our home kitchen now.
I've been looking over the French Press selection on
Amazon and amazingly, I found the same style that I broke the carafe from
We keep a french press in case we lose power in the AM. I quite like the french press coffee.
congratulations to Snowysmom on the condo
I'll echo this Snowysmom! I hope all your closing some to fruition and go smoothly. I hope the idea of new surroundings and a place you feel if "you" brings you some peace and tranquility .
QOTD: What brings you joy?
hmmm, a lot of things and I guess I could answer this differently anytime of year...but since we are in spring I'll say I'm currently taking joy in seeing things come back to life from their dormant winter state. I usually do a big clean up on the porch and once it's done I start to fill my pots and baskets with flowers, nothing better at the end of the day to coming home to a cheery porch, bugs & birds humming and a fresh breeze. My adult children are successfully& independently living their lives, my husband and I are back to making grand plans for both the farm and our immediate and future travel plans...so I'll say the ho-hum of everyday living is pretty joyful right now!
His list got longer the longer he stayed last nite, lol!
Sounds like my husband and I went we start thinking of things to do around here!
Have a wonderful time!
Ads? I'm not seeing any ads at all.
I also keep seeing references to ads, but I guess I lucked out and am not seeing any either.
I have noticed that the prices on Chewy have gone up everytime I order.
Yes - my monthly order has gone up almost $15 for the same thing. I've been fortunate in that at least they have had a consistent supply of the dog food we use. I hear such horror stories from folks and trying to get their specific needed types of cat food and figure all things considered I've made out okay.
Something a patient told me once about the walk in tubs that I had not considered. If it is the kind that has a door that seals closed then you fill with water, when you drain it, it has to be empty before you open the door so you can get cold sitting there wet.
I wouldn't have thought of that either! Keeping that tucked away for future use.
Meeting with our financial guy tomorrow to invest the proceeds from selling the office.
Happy investing. We've got some changes coming up next year I'm trying to get my ducks in a row for as well.
We went to San Antonio over the weekend for my SIL's funeral mass on Saturday morning
It sounds as if your family had a very memorable memorial for your SIL, which I'm sure was nice for everyone that attended.
We filled over 700 eggs the other day for Easter.
whew! those kids are sure to love that!
I love to be in nature and watch the birds and small animals.
Me, too. Especially the sounds of the birds & bugs busy this time of year. And the frogs and what not early in the AM/late PM.
Went by there on our way up to the Dansko Outlet Saturday morning, it was as pretty as ever. I think we are headed up there for the Scottish Games later next month.
have you seen the ship stuck in the bay? We might take a drive to see it.
I have! First saw it around 4:45 AM on my way to BWI with my brother, all you could see was the lights of the tugs. When we came back by (plunge weekend) we could see it from the bridge, but not super great. Just looked like - again - some tugs around a ship. There must be way better views than the bridge though. They keep interviewing folks on TV from a particular park on the western shore that looks like it has a great/close view - but I keep missing exactly what park it is!
Well, lets see - what's going on? Not terribly much. Considering taking the 15th off for a long weekend - we'll see. I've got a fair bit I need to get taken care of here at work today, and tomorrow I'm at a jobsite for all of the morning, possibly some of the afternoon to conduct some training.
I've ordered 2 new outdoor rugs for the porch, one of which arrived yesterday. I'm eager to get my porch set to rights but first I need to power wash the whole thing and that takes some time. I don't like to do it in bits & pieces, I'd rather just get it all done in one day if I can. I wonder if I could order up a nice, sunny 83 degree day for that on the next Saturday or Sunday?!?!? haha I wish it was that easy!
Yard work is on the agenda all weekend for me. I've got to do some serious weeding and then mulch. I want to work in my stumpery, and we have some additional fencing that needs to be pulled out. Plus this weekend the plowing for the "for fun" fields and the garden need to happen. Husband sprayed the areas last weekend, so it should be about ready. I think we may get to planting the garden the following weekend...we'll see.
Dinner tonight? Not sure, possibly tomato bisque. Or shrimp & salad.
