There was an update a while ago causing photos (particularly ones taken on phones) to post in landscape ratio, regardless of how it's in your files.

Easy fix - go to the photo in question, and make some small edit/correction to it (I usually remove one row of pixels). Then it will post in the ratio that's displayed in your files.

Still don't know how to do that. How do you remove a row of pixels? Scissors? (I am on a roll today.)

Easyas123, I don't know about a real spreadsheet, but other than always forgetting if I want more rows or columns (which is which) in a Word document table, I am able to handle that.

Thank you for chiming in PrincessShmoo, I have to admit what you suggested is beyond me! I hope you will join us in this thread :)

I think my pictures will just have to remain sideways. :)

I love that corn maze! I've only done one but it was at the end of the season and it was pretty shot. I'd enjoy doing one but they are hard to find around here.

Dinner tonight is take out. We only do it once a week but I've gotten tired of no one being able to agree or make up their mind on what they want. So I got a couple of dice, a list of 12 places to eat that isn't an arm and a leg and let each of the grandkids roll. 1 + 3 = 4 Raising Canes it is!!!!! :rotfl:

Ok I will help explain in more detail. I have an iPhone so I’m not familiar with Android but I imagine they have something similar.

Click on your picture. Up in the right hand corner it says Edit. Click on that. On the bottom there will be a “Crop” icon, click on that. Then just make it a tiny bit smaller (or crop a good amount, up to you) by moving an edge with your finger, then finish by clicking Done. Now your picture has been “edited” enough so that it shouldn’t post here as a landscape view. On a computer or other type of phone you should be able to do something similar.

Good job, Carol! :yay:Your DGD really is adorable :)

Thanks for the detailed explanation, Pea. I do have an Android but also as I said edit on the computer. I'll have to see what happens next time I upload from phone to computer a vertical picture. I will follow as best I can your crop advice :)

Thursday Gratitude:

Text from a couple friends I have not heard from in a while.
Nice PM's from friends.
Speedy delivery from Wal-Mart of some floss I ordered just a couple days ago. I think it came via FedEx.

On corn mazes:

I used to take DS and my nieces to one when they were younger. It was a lot of fun!

...There was a family with little kids they were crying and had to be “rescued”. We sat with them later on the hayride. All was good, though. It’s good that the workers have “rescue hatches” and can swoop in if needed. Oh yes just remembered, the family had called for help on their cell phone!!

DS's friend was one of those helpers last summer, but apparently he wasn't very good at it. DS said the supervisor used to have go in an rescue him at the end of the night. :rotfl:

I really love coming here and reading everyone’s response. I have been smiling, laughing and commiserating for the last half hour while I caught up. And Thankyou everyone for the thoughts and prayers. I have not yet heard back from the doctor, but am taking that as good news. I am sure if the cancer was back, he would have called! 🤔

I agree with whoever said they should take notes when reading. There were several things I wanted to comment on, but I seem to have issues with the copy/paste function on my iPad. So what I remember, thankyou for sharing about your own scan experience. IT helps knowing I am not alone. And I love hearing about the kindness that people experience. We need more news like that.

@apirateslifeforme I feel you on the school. This is such a tough year for Mama’s with school. We have signed DD up for the online academy in our district. Just not ready to repeat the chaos of Last spring. DD is going into 6th, her last year in elementary. I worry constantly that I have made the wrong decision for her, but will do my best. Just know that you are making the best decisions for your child, and you will get through this. Our school does let kids in even if they don’t have everything right away, so you may want to ask for extensions if they are giving you grief. In our state, parents have until almost have way through the year for medical data for example.

Tina I am happy to hear that things are better for your Mom. I am dreading the day I have to find a place for my Mom. Such a scary time for the

We have been having a good, if quiet week. Highlights have included a bike ride with DD and friends which we do every Wednesday, getting my hair done today (no more gray - at least for two weeks 🤣) and playing computer games with DH. D D and I have plans to bake something tomorrow and deliver it to someone we are thinking of. This is something new we are trying, and DD is actually excited. We are talking trying a pie tomorrow - will have to check out Pinterest in the morning.

Hope you all have a happy Friday! 🧚🏼‍♂️

Use the mutliquote function.
At the bottom of each post, on the right, hit 'quote+'.

When you are ready to reply to all the saved message, hit the 'Insert Quotes' button that pops up on your message box. (It's below where you type) All the messages will pop up in an itty bitty box; you can drag them to move one above the other if you want, then click on 'Quote messages' and it will add them to the message box!

You can edit them (as I did yours) to show only what you want to comment on.

I'm not sure if it's hard to do on an Ipad (I'm using a desktop) but no need for cut and paste!

In 2014, Mommytotwo, asked for Flat Stanley to visit some Mainland USA places for her son, whom I think was in 2nd grade. They live in Hawaii. My favorite picture of the ones I took was of the dogwood tree that was in front of our kitchen.

So instructions are simple, just post a photograph of whatever you find related to Fall.
