@Breezy_Carol, I took a solitary early morning walk. For me it was Fort Tryon Park at the top of Manhattan, a hilly cliff with amazing foliage filled views of the sailboats of Hudson River, Jersey's Palisades, and the Cloisters. I love this part of the city that so few see. Did some stretches then walked back home to the just waking household people.
DGD is spending the weekend with her mother's side of the family. She is no longer allowed to ride the subway solo (too deserted) so the man took her and then visited one of his friends who has become a bit of a recluse of late

. Sent the man w/ some of my Italian casserole dishes out of the freezer for Bob and at least we know he has something to eat. I happen to know Bob's stove is a storage unit for magazines (nothing like a bachelor to use spaces in new ways

) so good thing I slab wrapped some of the casseroles in plastic. Now he'll be able to nuke and eat.
I reorganized the bookcases yesterday afternoon. Fascinating, right? LOL.
Hopefully, I'm prepared for the lock-down, mentally, physically, and spiritually. My son (DGD's father) keeps sending me texts that tell, us oldsters, to stay at home since apparently he thinks I might forget...
As the grrlie wasn't here got to cook exactly what we want so it was dukkah crusted lamb chops drizzled w/pomegranate molasses, and a watermelon, spinach, and romaine hearts salad. DGD thinks lambs and ducks are too cute to be eaten but calves, cows, pigs, goats and chickens are not

. As children like to say: "Whatever",LOL.
The chops were from the butcher shop since I made a conscious decision to eat food made that day and raid the cold and stable pantries as late as possible. At this moment I can go out in the street with relative ease but the man is restricted by the Governor's edict so I plan to make the best of it.
Here's the recipe I used for the chops:

COOK'S NOTES: You can use lamb rib chops or porterhouse chops. I bet it would work w/ grilled chicken cutlets as well. Nothing wrong with substituting most any kind of nut: peanuts, hazelnuts, almonds, etc.
The first time I made this was at a camp site and it was a meal filled with memories of the setting and food; it's become my equivalent of Proust's madeleines.
