Ah! I hope it gets scheduled soon. The week-by-week post operative videos on HysterSisters are what saved me with mine, would’ve been lost without them. Please share these with Summer for me. She shouldn’t try to do too much, too early, or adhesions can form. That’s the important thing. Then you wind up with pain again from those.

I remember a kids’ birthday dinner at Crystal Palace. Kids were dressed in their Halloween costumes. At the end of the meal they brought them a cupcake and somehow there were cards for the characters to sign (I might’ve brought them, can’t remember). Well DD was kneeling on the seat interacting with the characters and DS had his head on the table hiding under the card, lol. He was always so shy with them! For their 5th bday I remember being at the castle and DS dove under the table when the princesses came over to sing HB to them. I have pics of Snow White trying to talk to him under there. Poor kid, characters just weren’t his thing. I mean, he was very interested in them, he just didn’t love interacting with them. That same castle day we were over in Adventureland and DS was dressed as a pirate. Captain Hook (and Mr Smee) spotted him and came over to him. I thought he would freak! But he stood there, slack jawed, while Captain Hook moved DS’s ‘hook’ from one hand to the other, then waved and walked away. We still laugh about that.
Speaking of pictures, Mona, I spotted a little nativity in a globe the other day. I almost bought it for you but it only had Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus, no other figurines, and it did have glitter (but only if you shook it). Would you have liked this? I thought it was really nice.
Sorry to hear about your Dad, taz. I had the same feelings when Mom broke her hip just going to sit on the toilet. She was 93 then, and they said she wouldn’t walk again without surgery. She said, “Well I want to walk again!” so off we went in an ambulance to the (my) hospital. She did really well with it and the surgeons at her six week check were pretty surprised she was bombing along. Unfortunately we learned her cancer had spread while all that was going on. It’s hard when they get to that age. Sending prayers for Dad, and for Anthony.
Boy, it is horribly cold out and chilly in the house! I suppose I could turn the heat up, but then it gets hot.

I was waiting for these to go on sale but they haven’t. I think I’m still going to pick one up. Been eyeing it since fall.

Update on the turkey dinner. I did an online grocery order yesterday and got all the fixings for another this weekend. The lady doing the order must’ve texted me eight times with they didn’t have this and they were out of that, etc.

The last text was they’re out of turkey breasts! I’m like, omg, I planned a whole meal around that! She said, “Do you want a chicken?” No, I don’t want a chicken! So now we’ll have to go somewhere else to get a turkey. But we will make it this weekend and I can’t wait! I have just one upcoming shift and then I’m off for the weekend.
Wishing everyone a good Friday!
